Tech issues with my windows recovery options.

Hello

Everything first here is my problem and would appreciate it if someone could help me.

A few weeks ago my computer started to display the options disk failure hard immienent. By researching on the forums, I took the right steps in saving my info. I am running vista.

Now, while that drive failure possible hard comes another question jumped right on top. When I restarted my computer (a dell desktop computer) it now only gives me the option to repair my computer (recommended) or a computer startup. When I choose to fix it, it gives me "Other account" which I also did some research. Now my desktop cd/dvd drive is broken so I can boot from a disk. Safe mode just reboots the computer, but also to restore them from a previous point. I guess I never put a name and password for the account of others.

So how can I work around this or other what option should I?

Hello

Machine tells you what is the problem.

Test your hard drive and this fails the test, replace it.

Go to the website of your computer manufacturer > search your computer specifications > know brand of hard drive > access the Hard Drive manufacturer's Web site > find and download hard drive Diagnostic software and make a record of start of it on the computer that you use to get here, following their instructions > test your hard drive to see if it has failed.

And you can also use this method to test your hard drive:

  • 8.1 Windows recovery options

    Hello

I am reluctant to create recovery discs, because it is a process of time & I don't want to take the risk of burning coasters. I see on another thread that there is a link to a download of the ISO of Windows 8. You also have a link for a download of ISO 64-bit Windows 8.1.

    Thank you.

    Hello

As far as I know, there is no download good reputation for an OEM Windows 8.1 image.  Saying that, if you have recently purchased this machine, you can create your set of recovery disks - will check every disc after burning, and if you have a problem, HP will generally send you a free replacement set if the machine is still under warranty.

In your case, you can set it to live.

  • English CC only version: compatibility issues with Windows 7 in Italian?

Hello. When I try to buy the creative cloud all-apps included (taking advantage of the special offer), I wonder if I want the version of all languages or English only. Given that the latter is cheaper and I use Adobe software in English in any case, I would ask: would there be compatibility issues with my Windows 7 system, which is in Italian? Is there one difference other than the language? Thank you

    Francesco

    Resolved:

I spoke with customer assistance, there is no problem of compatibility with the language of the operating system.

  • Loop system recovery options

This morning Satellite 100 my wife running Windows Vista itself got in a loop of the system, with absolutely no discernible way out recovery. I have so for you guys to see if anyone has had the same problem.

First of all, the system stops (battery problem). It restarted, he and the Vista loading got a message box with the "System Recovery Options" section, just an OK button and the message "Cannot load this program click OK to restart" or something to that effect. Something off the machine.
I tried F8 at startup upwards and all options in the recovery (including repair system tools) menu restart Vista and get the same message.
I've searched the Toshiba support site and found nothing.

I have a disc of recovery but that would reformat the hard drive and it has a lot of things not saved.
I suspect it's to go into Recovery Mode and find a disk on the "hidden" partition error So, I just want to stop making so that I can start the machine and backup files. Any ideas?

    Hey Buddy,

You can start Windows in safe mode?

I think in the worst case it s necessary to reinstall Windows if it doesn t start more. I mean there is nothing you can do

I m wondering that you didn't make a backup of the important files, you can save if you put the HARD drive into an external HARD drive enclosure. Then you can connect to another computer and make a backup before reinstalling Windows.

  • Windows recovery does not

I recently downgrade my window 8 for Windows 7 64 bit in my hp pavilion g6-2206tx... bt now, I want to upgrade again to windows 8... but it is to show in windows recovery option 7 instead of windows 8... the recovery disk is still their unchanged... but does not work... What do I do now to make it work...

Here are the specifications of your computer HP Pavilion laptop g6-2206tx. When you installed Windows 7, you probably only damaged startup pointing to the recovery partition records.

When you first set up your computer and before you install Windows 7, you must have created a USB recovery media or your HP Recovery Disc set staff. If you don't do not create your media recovery, please visit the HP Support document entitled "Search recovery disks?" It seems that your computer may have been produced for the Asian and Australian regions. If so, you may have to contact HP Customer Support in your region to order the recovery disks.

  • System Recovery Options - no operating system listed, need to load the drivers, but don't know where to find this (Windows Vista 64-bit)

It is a gateway M6866 laptop running Windows Vista 64-bit.

The computer does not start up--gives "BOOTMRG is missing" error at startup.  I'm trying to boot from the 64-bit of Windows Vista recovery disc.  I clicked on the "repair your computer" option, and it shows the computer loading files.  Then the "System Recovery Options" box appears and asks me to select the operating system to fix it.  The problem is that nothing has listed.  It is said that if your OS is not listed click Load Drivers.  I did, but it is said to insert the device installation media, and then click OK to select the driver.  I clicked on OK and then opens a browser window to select the file.

I don't know which file I'm supposed to select here.  I searched online for an answer, and someone told him to go to the computer manufacturer's website and download the driver for RAID controller.  I tried to go to the site of the bridge to find it, but it doesn't seem to be one for Vista 64-bit.

Please please help!  I have to at least be able to extract the files to the hard drive before reinstalling windows.

    Hello

    ·        Have you Configure RAID on the system?

If you have not configured then RAID on the system, I suggest you to disable the RAID/eSATA (SATA improved) in the BIOS. Once you turn off the RAID/eSATA on the system that your basic hard disk should be recognized by the system because it doesn't require any drivers, it will act as an IDE. Once you have disabled the RAID/eSATA then booting into the recovery environment and build the Bootrec and check if the problem is resolved. I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below to rebuild the bootrec.

Rebuild the BCD store by using the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows recovery environment. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. get the Vista installation DVD and pop in your drive.

    b. then restart your computer.

    c. press a key when you are prompted.

    d. Select a language, a time, a currency, and a keyboard or another input method, and then hitNext

    e. click on repair your computer

    f. click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next

    g. in the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt

    h. type bootrec /rebuildbcd and then press the Enter"" key.

    ·        If Bootrec runs successfully, it will present you with the installation of a Windows directory path. To add the entry in the BCD store, type Yes. A confirmation message appears that indicates the entry has been added successfully.

    ·        If Bootrec cannot findany lack of facilities of Windows, you must remove the BCD store, and then you must re-create it. To do this, type the following commands in the order shown below: (remember to press ENTER after each command)
    bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup
    Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old
    Bootrec /rebuildbcd

    i. restart the computer.

  • Disabled the HTTPS option in Hotmail and problems with the Windows Firewall, Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows updates.

Original title: Windows Live Hotmail only opens a new window links e-mail composition!

I recently put my Windows Live Hotmail account to my default e-mail client in Internet Explorer 8 on my Windows XP SP3 System. Unfortunately, whenever I click on a link to e-mail on a Web page to open a new message, Hotmail tells me, "Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Hotmail right now", and a new/compose message window does not open. I disabled the HTTPS option in Hotmail, which fixed the problem. However, when I went to do a manual update of Windows, I am nailed with a Trojan horse! Apparently, the Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials have been affected by turning off HTTPS in Hotmail! It's 2012, and it's terribly disappointing that Microsoft only has not ironed out all the imperfections in these services now. If anyone can give me a solution (in simple terms), I would appreciate it!

    Thank you

    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

    1. you receive messages or error codes when you access Windows updates?

    2. what happens exactly with the Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials?

About the update of Windows, the Windows Firewall and Microsoft Security Essentials issues, you may try to launch the FixIt and see if it helps:

    Method 1:

Resolve security issues to protect and secure Windows automatically

The problem with Microsoft Windows Update is not working

    Method 2:

You can also refer to article and perform a full scan on your computer by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • System Recovery Options Windows Vista Home Basic x 32 help

I have a gateway with Windows Vista Home Basic x 32.  Recently, it would break any chance and will have to be turned off manually.  Some options in the start screen and I would always click on start windows normally.  Today, I went through the process and came up with the blue screen of death.  He said that if this is the first time you see this reboot, so I did.  Then the blue screen of death came once again, and he said to go in the system recovery options.  Having no idea how to do that I restarted again.  Then the recommended option was to go into system recovery thing, so I said to myself Oh well it will fix itself.  I went in there and he brought me to the system recovery option screen.  It is said to find my operating system in a list and there is no operating system indicating.  Then I read and it says if you do not have an operating system, then load the drivers here.  I click on that and there is a list of about 50 cases.  Inside of some folders are folders more.  I can't possible go through all records to find driver software that he wants me to.  I also never had a disc of windows vista with the purchase of the computer
