  I am running Windows XP Pro in my Tecra 8200 and decided to install SP2 (oh error) now, whenever I turn it on I go as far as a blue screen with the following message
  STOP: c0000135 {Unable to locate component}
  This application has failed to start because winsrv was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

  After my laptop keeps restarting - boots - blue screen again. I have tried everything to connect to windows to uninstall SP2, but I can not connect.
  I tried to change the boot sequence (some ppl said that it was starting in LAN), I disabled the CPU Cache and L2 in the BIOS and still nothing. If I turn off reset on the failure of the system (as some other guy suggested) I just can't not anywhere either.

  Unfortunately, I do not have the boot floppies so I can not format the laptop.

  Now I know why that is happening, but the answers I get is to uninstall SP2, update the Bios, or to download patches, but I can't make one any of them because I can't get into windows, even in safe mode.

  Someone at - it ideas?

  If you cannot start in safe mode, and then unfortunately mode your only real option is to reinstall your operating system to the original recovery disks.

  I think something went wrong during the installation of SP2 and this has led to the corruption of one or more of your system files.

  I also recommend that you take a full backup of your system before attempting to do a re-installation of SP2 so that you do not have to depend on start-up in Windows to regulate if necessary.

  Personally I take a picture full backup to an external hard drive using Norton Ghost before applying any big maintenance work on my own laptop.

  I bought the HP Envy 13 spectrum (13-2113TU) earlier, and everything was smooth and functional until yesterday when I plugged it in one of these headphones with the MIC designed for phones in the 3.5 mm plug. For a second, that it did not work, but after that the external microphone worked fine. However, I find that after using the earphone, the internal microphone no longer works on Skype or any where else and it seems there is no way to test whether it is functional or not.

  In the audio Panel, there is only the stereo mix and microphone option external availible under recording devices. I checked the boxes that says see the disabled and disconnected devices but there seems to be no way to activate the interal peak. All audio drivers are up to date and nothing is cut.

  Nobody knows what is happening and what are the steps I could take to solve this problem. Thank you.

Somehow, I think that the Bar Menu of Firefox with button Firefox Orange and other toolbars could be part of the problem. Jacky, your suggestion was among the first, I tried more than four days ago, but I re - try each day and twice today (this morning, and after I posted my problem of support here). Unfortunately, whenever I tried it, I need to click on start, and I almost always see the screen flash slightly, then at the top of the window where it says 'Library', I would say something like "the program is not responding" and then... nothing, and nothing on 'My Computer', showed changes.   After a recent accident, I re-installed my 8200 using XP SP2. Now I have no sound from the Netdock. All other functions of the DS seem to be OK.
  I downloaded the latest drivers Yamaha for XP SP2, but still no sound.
