  my laptop is a hp pavillion entertainment pc dv6605us, running windows vista. the cd/dvd drive is not read / write any CD and it is not listed in Device Manager. I tried to fix this problem by using the microsoft fixit tool, but I'm still having the same problem. I checked the system registry and found no upperfilters and lowerfilters.

  Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as it is often the total process
  which solves the problem.

  Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
  Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
  This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.
  
  Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
  slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
  contacts data with a pencil eraser.

  Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
  manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

  Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
  Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
  do it right.

  Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are
  the entries in registry that the troubleshooter does not solve and those who "might" be the cause.

  Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and
  the correct registry entries for your car.

  as there will be other subkeys in these keys. Do not forget to ask specific keys involved as well as
  the parameters.

  Yamaha YMF753 - 16-stereo sound blaster pro compatible system (WAVE und MIDI) bits
  It could be removed and replaced without replacing the entire motherboard, but that part can be ordered from the Toshiba service partner.
  But it looks like you don't have many experiences from these exchanges of witch.

  So I recommend you to contact a technician for these replacements.

• No Audio output device is installed and no "Sounds" not listed in Device Manager.

I tried restoring the system without result. The Device Manager shows not yet "Sound, video and game controllers" to watch the drivers or disable them. He has not disabled or disconnected devices to display. To the best of my knowledge the soundcard is part of the motherboard with this system, so I've no idea what driver I could find.   Another possibility if there is a problem with the hardware with the audio device:

  Car sound can be turned off in the BIOS and card USB sound a speedboat can be used

  Just a simple question: have you activated the wireless network adapter using the hardware on the computer switch portable and key combination FN + F8?

  Satellite L300 is permanently equipped with wireless network card because a friend of mine had the same specifications.

  First WLAN can be enabled or disabled with the hardware switch on the computer laptop and FN + F8.
  Did you check that?
