Tecra 9100 wireless network problem

I'll have a chance by putting my Tecra 9100 with my home wireless network. The network seems to work very well. My other laptop connects to it without any problems and I can connect the Tecra with the ethernet cable. But the wireless connection, it cannot be successfully established by the Tecra.

She claims to be connected, but he receives no package, and could get no internet connectivity. When I try to 'fix' the connection, it sits there for a while before telling me that the IP address may not be renewed.

I managed to connect the Tecra to the network of the next door without penalty, which suggests that there is some kind of problem with our network interface. I tried to reproduce the exact settings from my other laptop, so I don't understand what the problem is.

Any idea would be appreciated with gratitude!

Hello

It's really not easy to say what is happening here. The functionality of the laptop is ok and it's very confusing if it works with other local wireless networks.

I recommend putting your access point to the factory without some specific parameters settings and try to connect it.

Sorry, but I don? have another idea.

  • Cannot connect Tecra 8200 wireless network

I have an old laptop Tecra 8200, I recently bought a wireless router but I can't get the laptop to connect to it.
He sees the network and attempts to connect to it, but after a few minutes it stops and returns looking for available wireless networks.
The laptop uses windows XP with service pack 2.
Everything on the laptop is standard and I did no improvement to him so there the standard network card. I don't know if this is the problem and that is that I'm not sure what network card enough.

What card Wlan do you use?
Check Wlan card details in the Device Manager.

Looks a bit a problem of compatibility between the wireless network card and router.
Please make sure that your wireless network card uses the same Wlan standard IE. 802 11 B G etc. as the Wlan router.

What you could do is update the Wlan driver too.

Hmm, don t think that the switch is the reason for this notification message.
Did you check if the laptop supports Wlan and BT maps?

To my knowledge, the two cards (WLan & BT) are optional on this Tecra 9100!

We tried to connect with my computer laptop girls and it works with his own, more I went through the process of verification of the modem with the sky, which was all fine and they said back to Toshiba.

Then I tried the aol connection, with this is accepted my password and it shows it is connected to aol, wireless, but you can't get on the internet when you use Dr. connectivity, its said something on the browser settings, this is where I'm stuck!

I can take notes tonight all the information required of the laptop to the Dominican Republic of connectivity, if anyone can help please...

    Hello

First of all, you must make sure that your WLan router is correctly configured.
I put t know if you use a Mac address swim, but for the first time, you must disable it before you haven t establish the WiFi connection.

Second, you must check you WLan encryption settings.
If you use an encryption that is not supported by the wireless network adapter, then you will not be able to connect to the WLan router!

So please check the type of encryption on the router and check if the WLan card supports this also!

Usually it s advisable to disable all the security settings on the router, then test the WLan connection. If you will be able to connect to the internet, then you can activate all the security settings step by step

  • card 3160 AC wireless network problems

    Hello

I bought a laptop HP Envy M6; product # G5N44UA #ABA running Windows 8.1 64-bit, and I have a problem with the wireless network card. It is a version of Intel dual-band AC3160 wireless 16.6.0.8

The problem is that when I close the lid, do go to sleep or turn off the computer, it restarts when it says that it cannot connect. When I run the troubleshooting it says that there is something wrong with my (physical) access point. If I run the access point troubleshooting it reboots the access point which solves the problem, until he falls asleep again.

What did I try? So far...

    (1) uninstalled and reinstalled the driver. No change.

    (2) changed some settings about «closing the lid» power management Changed for the 'status quo' when lid closes.

Now when he goes to sleep or if there is, it does not detect the network at all unless I restart again.

I changed the rear power settings, but I need to know if I have a hardware problem and how to get fixed.

    Thank you

I was intrigued by the validations and proposed solutions to the question of the network adapter 3160.  I have a 8 month old G0T55AV of HP Envy 15 t-K000 Notebook 64-bit Win 8.1 with 12 GB of Ram, and of course the AC adapter / 3160 of Intel.  I should mention that I am a fan of long-time HP products.  It's my second computer of this model as first a miserably failed with Touch Pad questions and passing AC 3160 failures, if HP has requested that I return it and they were replaced by a new.  Shortly after I received my other 'News' that also came with the AC3160, I started having network disconnects when you wake up mode "Eve".  I found articles about uncheck the power saving mode.  That worked for a while and all of a sudden, I once again began to have problems.

I contacted Tech Support Chat repeatedly and most recently of several days.  They diagnosed the problem and as usual tried to remove and download the drivers that had been made several times previously.  They also disabled several of my 'start-up' services and was intending to leave them turned off until I challenged, who also screwed up some of my services.  I also noticed that now I could not the PC to recognize the adapter in wake up.  I have to restart the PC to refresh and identify the adapter, a problem that I had not seen before.   If after all this, the recommendation was to perform a factory reset.  I objected, so I was sent a box to ship my computer in for 7-10 days service center where the reset would be carried out.  Of course, I had to delete all my data and it should reinstall all software installed after initially receiving the computer 8 months ago.  WHAT?  Of course, it would be no monetary cost to me; However, the grief of being without my PC and reload data and software has been a big emotional event.

I took a chance to solve on my own.  HQ 3160 being an Intel product, I went to the page 'pilot' of the Intel website specifically for the AC 3160.  I noticed that the iteration of driver used by HP several iterations behind the current driver from Intel.  I tried using the program to automate the update of the Intel driver.  The program has identified the adapter such as the need to update; However, the pilot would not move through their utility.  Do not know why.  I finally found a link on their site which allowed me to download and install the most recent driver manually.  I've been running for almost a week and so far, I had no network card failures.  Without losing the connection on sleep, without losing the identity of the card, nothing.

I do not claim that it would work in every situation of AC3160 has failed, but it seemed to work for me at least to date.  My shipping box to return my PC arrived Friday 2/13; However, I hold that the driver will continue to operate successfully.  This brings a few questions in mind:

    (1) why the HP Technical Support uses them most recent updated driver from the manufacturer?

    (2) why not HP own up to the fact that the AC3160 may be defective, issue a reminder and replace them?  I know the answer! $$$$$$$

    (3) why HP joined with Intel and provide a common solution to the end user?

    (4) why HP does not provide a specialty within Technical Support Group to deal only with issues AC3160 to prevent "groping" solutions that could potentially cause more harm than good?

  • Hosted wireless network problem

I'm currently located in a place where the WiFi you buy will only link with one device and the IP and MAC addresses to confirm the device before you connect to the internet. I am to avoid paying for both (laptop and smartphone) devices through a wireless network but my laptop using Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter. However, when I start the hosted network, either through the "netsh wlan start hostednetwork" command in the command prompt or via the software free virtual router Manager, my computer freezes completely and does not respond to anything except a hard stop. When I started this, everything worked well and I could use the network hosted without any problems, but in the last few weeks, I had to shut my computer down several times a day because of this problem. Can someone help me understand why my computer keeps freezing? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience!

I understand that you are unable to set up the printer on the wireless network.

I'll be happy to help you.

Please provide the following information so that I can better help you.

What operating system do you use?

Mac OS X: how to find which Mac OS X Version is on my computer?

    You also have a PC?

Once the printer is configured on the network, the Ipad connects on behalf of network from the router and the printer should allow you to print using Airpint. You don't need to download software for the Ipad.

  • Tecra A3 - strange network problem

    Hello
    I have 3 new Tecra A3, all loaded with W2K sp4, all logging to a W2K domain.
If I try to ping from another pc (or server) on the network, everythings fine.
BUT if I try to map a drive to a different pc/server (go start - run - \\xxxx\c$), it fails.
However, if I plug a pcmcia (Greycell 2200) network card I can map a drive with no problems.
Naturally I loaded the latest drivers on the Toshiba site, but it is always a failure.
Then... .it seems there is a problem with the built-in LAN card (Marvell Yukon) as it's the same problem on 3 different Tecra A3.
FYI: we also Tecra A2, M2, M3 & computers Dell desktop, but none of them has the same problem.
    Help!

There are many problems with these cards not only in the Toshiba machines and Yukon. If you get the latest version of the driver it will solve the problem. Now the driver on the Web site is v 7.29.4.3 but there is a version 8, but is not the list on Tecra A3 but the Tecra M3 and also for XP, however these are he's conditioning set upward, combined, then work XP driver / will include the right parts for W2K. Otherwise all the Yukon view will be latest version.

Sure this will solve your problem

  • Wireless network problem

When I start my Dell laptop that is running Windows XP, it will not connect to wireless (Intel PROSet).  When I try to connect to my network, I get the message "another application is controlling the wireless card." If I disable the wireless computer, restart the computer and then enable the wireless connection, I can connect to the network.  I updated the driver, but it does not help.

IIRC, if you are using Intel PROSet you should not normally the 'Wireless Zero Configuration' (WZC) that Microsoft provides.  Maybe it's the "other application" that controls the wireless card.  Try to disable the service 'Wireless Zero Configuration' and see if the problem goes away.  To disable the automatic configuration service, perform the following steps, noting the current settings in case you need to go back:

    1. Start-> Run-> "services.msc".
    2. Locate the "Wireless Zero Configuration" line on the window that opens, and double-click
    3. Change the "Startup Type" to "Disabled" and if its status is "started", then click on the 'Stop' button to stop.

  • Wireless network problem unable to connect to Kodak ESP7 All In One Printer wireless. Windows 7

Hi close baldy headed by trying to connect a Kodak ESP7 printer all-in-one wireless. The printer itself recognizes the wireless connection which is excellent but the does'nt of the computer. • 6700 Premium HP Officejet wireless network problem

My 6700 has stopped communicating with my network home.  The printer and the router are in the same room, but the printer can't seem to find the router.  I had the printer for over a year and have not had any problems.  I have three laptops connected wirelessly.

Does anyone have this problem or ideas on the loss of connectivity?

    Hey RW21,.

I see that you have a problem with your HP Officejet 6700 Premium being able to communicate with your home network.  I recommend some steps to try to solve this problem.

    • Press the arrow on the right while on the home screen of the printer
    • Select the Setup menu indicated by an engine and a key
    • Select the network option
    • Scroll down and select "Default network"
    • Press Yes to restore the default settings

After you restore the default settings for the network, then I suggest a complete cycle of the mains supply.

Follow these steps to reset your printer HP, your router and your computer.

    1. To turn it off, press the power button on the HP printer.
    2. Unplug the power cord at the back of the HP printer.
    3. Unplug the power cord from the wireless router.
    4. Turn off the computer.
    5. Wait 30 seconds.
    6. Reconnect the power cable to the wireless router.
    7. Wait 30 seconds, or until the router is completely ready.
    8. Turn the computer on.
    9. Wait for the computer to recharge.
    10. Reconnect the power cord to the back of the HP printer.
    11. Turn on the printer.

Once everything is back up try to run the Setup wireless found in Settings Wizard > menu of the network printer.

    This solve your problem?
