You have installed the driver properly?
Unzip the driver downloaded in an empty folder. Go ahead and you will see a folder named x 64.
Start setup.exe from there.

  • Tecra A10 - 12O: installing the driver network card in Windows Server 2003 R2 Std

    Hello

I received 6 laptop Tecra A10 - 12O, and we need to install Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition with SP2 in all these six machines. Windows Server 2003 has been installed perfectly, but now we have only the network LAN card to work but we are unable to install its driver. When I installed Windows XP from the supplied DVD for Toshiba, it says Intel 82567V Gigabit network adapter. I tried to download the drivers for this adatpor of drivers Toshiba, Intel Web site, but it will not install in Windows Server 2003. I also tried manually force to choose and install a driver from the list, I choose that it will install but shows yellow question mark in Device Manager means that it does not work with this driver.

I also tried the same Intel 82567V drivers from some sites non-Toshiba, of these models using the same network card, but is not truck drivers at all.

I understand these laptop computers does not support Windows Server 2003, but these were ordered to be used as servers with Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition and I am required to make the Installer only with activated and installed network adapter.

I try last week and exhausted all means to get the installed network adapter driver, but all have failed. Can someone please help with this? All support will be highly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Charwal

    Hey Buddy

If I m not wrong Windows Server 2003 uses the same drivers as Win XP and I guess that it s driver problem not a LAN, but perhaps also the problem of Windows Server 2003 installed.

You are right; the LAN chip seems to be Intel 82567V and the LAN driver downloaded from Intel page should work 100%.

In your case, I would recommend installing the chipset driver.
Remove the LAN card from Device Manager, then restart the laptop.
Then go back to Device Manager and update driver in pointing devices Manager to the place where the driver downloaded LAN was stored on the HARD drive.

  • Tecra A10 - 12Z BIOS 1.6 wanted to move to 3, but 'not supported' - W7H32

There are many problems with this Tecra A10.

As Windows Xp is disabled, I tried Windows 7, which is too awkward, so I wanted to try the eSATA operating systems. Although I could install Lubuntu on eSATA it would not start (no hard drive inside most) to eSATA, but booted from USB.

Read in the forum and put the Windows 7 Home 32 disk inside again and downloaded the BIOS update only to get a response "not supported".

The A10 has a Windows Vista professional sticker slot, is the only OS where this Tecra can get BIOS updated?

We have no records of Windows Vista.

Installation of Windows 2000 or XP, it's really a lot of time, even for 9 x.

The last beta demoCD with eComStation, todays OS/2Warp, works fine on the Tecra, it has Windows integrated 3.11, is that not? Windows 3.11 on a SD card installation must be as fast and as possible. If there are drivers available?

ReactOS (freeWindowsXP) is usually able to boot, but it is still in the alpha stage!

As for flat BACK? There are the LiveCD with BACK.

You can also find Vista LiveCD socalled VistaPE CDs on the net, but their origin is unknown.

What is the best option? Is there only one option?

    Hello

    > Although I could install Lubuntu on eSATA it would not start (no hard drive inside most) to eSATA, but booted from USB
I guess that the BIOS does not support booting eSATA port but just the USB port.
But it's just an idea... that should be checked once more in the BIOS settings.
Maybe a BIOS update would also help.

    > Read in the forum and put the Windows 7 Home 32 disk inside again and downloaded the BIOS update only to get a response "not supported".

BIOS update may be run from under Windows system only. But the BIOS update also requires some software additional Toshiba which depends on the system.

In the case of Windows 7 or Vista, the value of added Toshiba package must be installed. In the case of Win XP, you must install the package of common Modules.

To be honest I don t understand what you want to do
Tecra A10 is a great unit. I have the successor called Tecra A11. I use Win 7 and its really awesome OS. Much better than the beginning of Win XP

  • Tecra A10 with replicator - no output to the DVI port but analog works very well

Hi all. It's driving me crazy. Brand new Tecra A10 with a nine port replicator and a new external LCD. When I plug them all in all and connect to the screen using the blue/analog/d-sub cable, the image on the screen of the laptop automatically turns on the external screen when the A10 is docked. But when the external display is connected with the white/digital/DVI cable, the Tecra and/or the Replicator is auto-switch the output to the external screen.

In addition, when you press Fn + F5 to switch the LCD only to LCD + CRT or CRT output only, the Tecra is so "smart" as to "realize" there is no screen, and it switches the output to only the Tecra.

Now, we would put in place with the blue/analog/d-sub cable, but the picture is wavey and not satisfactory at all.

Just so we're clear - when the display is plugged into another computer, there is a beautiful clear picture on/through the white/digital/DVI cable, so I don't think it's screen.

Can anyone help with this please? Is the Replicator defective? Or am I missing something?

    Thank you very much

As the portable Akuma (graphics card) does not have a DVI output.

If you use the VGA cable, but image quality should not be worse as with the DVI cable.
Choose the display resolution higher than the monitor supports and 60 Hz.

    Hello

Board of Directors of the BIOS is 3.00

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

As far as I know the unknown device ACPI\TOS620A needs the Protection of HARD drive utility.
Eventually it s an acceleration sensor built into the computer.

Visit the page of European driver of Toshiba and download the utility of the HARD disk Protection.

  • Boot Linux on Tecra A10 SD

Hi, I have a fairly new Tecra A10 running Vista. I would use a SD card (SDHC, ideally) to boot Ubuntu/XUbuntu.

I can do the Linux work from a USB startup key, but can't seem to work on the SD card. the methods that I used for the USB (taken from the site PenLinux) do not seem to transfer.

At the start of the machine, I use F12 and try the option to boot disk/SD or USB port, or causes my boot SD card.

I guess I have to do something with the "SD Boot Utility" to force the card to look like a floppy disk. But I don't have the slightest idea how to do it.

    Any thoughts?

    ; Nigel.

I am wanting to do exactly the same thing with a nice shiny new Portege R500. I installed 'successfully' Ubuntu 8.10 on my 8 GB SDHC card (it has detected, partitioned correctly etc.). I put the bootstrapper on the map, I thought it would be able to see that, as partition bootable, but it did not work at all.

I considered if I have to install the bootloader on the physical hard disk, but do not know if it will help (i.e. put something in pointing to/dev/mmcsd hd0 (or whatever it was called).

Assistance (we two) would be greatly appreciated! I'm sure that it's possible it's I have to be. I also had same experience, that Linux would boot 100% AOK off a USB key, but it would just do nothing on the SD card.

    Thanks in advance.

  • Tecra A10 - "no data connection '.

I have a Tecra A10 - 1HP under XP Pro SP3 with all latest drivers. I have the 3 g drivers, Wireless Manager and the power plant installed and it works well. After a few hours of non-use, the grey globe down my clock has a question mark orange appear with 'No data available Connection' appears in the Wireless Manager when it is open. Drivers, etc. are later. The only way to retrieve a connection is to restart. Reinstalling the drivers / Manager does not clear this error.

I tried Vista and Win7 and still have the same question. After a few hours of inactivity... available data connection. My 3g provider is BT Mobile Business and creating connection works fine.

Why he died after a few hours of inactivity? Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

Have you tried disabling the power saving for the 3G and WiFi?
If this is not the case, this!

You can change the settings in Win 7 Power Management.

You can try to disable the option in Device Manager-> Wlan card-> properties for energy savings

Last tab called Power Management contains this setting.

    Good luck

  • Tecra A10 - pad touch and the keys do not work on Windows 7 x 64

We have recently done a new install of Windows 7 x 64 on a Toshiba Tecra A10.
The operating system has taken over most of the drivers, we had to install drivers for the card reader ourselves.

Our problem is that the touchpad and the buttons work at all.
The driver displayed in devices such as manager being installed, but that's all. I even installed the control panel of the Alps (Vista x 64) which works very well.
Have tried the settings "stick and touchpad are automatically invalidated" when you use an external USB mouse, all to nothing done.

The equipment worked perfectly okay with Windows 7 32 bit installed.

    Is there a fix here?

    Hello

Maybe it of just a driver issue, I checked the downloads available for Tecra A10 on page of Toshiba and Windows 7 32 bit there is a newer driver available for Windows 7 64 bits do not (no driver). If you use the Vista 64 bit driver

What you can do is to test the driver for the touchpad for Tecra A11. There is a version more recent for Windows 7 64 bit of Alps Electric so correct. Touchpad driver is not linked so I sure it will also work on your model of m.

Take a look at the Web of Toshiba Tecra A11 driver site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

OK, I bought a Tecra A10 - 1 h from the local dealer here in the UAE.
I know that I should go on the site of the Gulf to look for pilots and others, and I was able to find the model from there, but when I click on the 'Go' it gives me:

We're sorry. The page you requested is not available.

I get the same response when I entered the serial number instead.

Now, when I discover that the product, the specifications mentioned on the site are close to mine, but not exactly the same thing, for example, on this page:
    http://Gulf.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/en/series/Tecra-A10-serie/1056184/
He mentioned the graphics card like Intel® | Mobile Intel® GMA 4500MHD. But the one I have here is a Mobile 4 Series Express Chipset Family. Which is different.
Edit: Utility Intel tells me that I have: Chipset Mobile Intel® GM45 Express. I'm confused now lol.

I know I have to use the site of Gulf and not him Europe site, that's what I did. I don't understand why the specs on the site are different than real.

  • Tecra A10 - 14Q - no external screen 1680 x 1050 resolution

    Hello

I want to use the native resolution of 1680 x 1050 on my Tecra A10 (analog) external port. I can't get this to work - the display shows "out of range" (?) - very strange.
The best resolution that works is 1400 x 1050. When we look at the possible resolution of construction in the Intel G45 Chipset graphics, it goes up to 1920 x 1200 and more. So it must be possible...

You use the most recent driver, tested on 3 screens (Samsung, Benq, HP). I think out of reach of the means that there is a signal from the port, but not at the right frequency. Specifications of the pilot at this resolution say 60 Hz, which is the norm.

Can anyone help? Is there a tool to tweak the display settings for the graphical interface Chipset Intel G45 (like ATI)?

    Your B.

    > The best resolution that works is 1400 x 1050. When we look at the possible resolution of construction in the Intel G45 Chipset graphics, it goes up to 1920 x 1200 and more. It must be possible

First of all not all resolutions are available and taken in charge by a graphics chip or a graphics card driver!

In order to use such a resolution, both parties (the graphics chip and graphics driver) should support, but if one of the parties would not support the resolution of your favorite, then you won't be abele, use it!
    That is a fact.

I recommend that you check the manual of the user that was preinstalled on your laptop
You can find the emanations of the resolutions available and supported.

  • Tecra A10 - Firewire chipset that is used?

    Hello everyone,

I plan to buy a tecra A10, but I have a question on the left.
For my FireWire cards that I use, I need to know what kind of brand FireWire chipset does build to the A10.

Does someone knows or can verify this for me?
It is visible in 'Device Manager' there you can see what FireWire chipset brand it is.

    Thanks in advance,

    Dave Schinkel

In the last 10 years, I've used 5 different models of Toshiba and one of them was old Tecra and each of them had Texas instrument FireWire chipset so I m 99,9% this Tecra has the same.

I just hope that someone here As Tecra A10 and can tell us what device is listed under IEEE 1394.

  • Tecra A10 with Intel WiFi 5100 running Vista 32 bit fails to connect WiFi

    Hello

a whole new Tecra A10 with buildin Intel 5100 WiFi fails to connect to the Wlan router, using the pre-installled Vista Business 32-bit. Vista has always said: wrong password.

Yes, Wifi hardware is enabled, of course. And Tecra WiFi OK MAC is stored in the config of the router. Also the WiFi settings were correct (wpa2-psk aes), corresponding to the Wlan router. Password WPA2 is 13 characters. Connect all the other machines with a Wlan successfully turns a working Wlan configuration and use of the correct password.

I installed the latest driver on the Toshiba site - without success. I also installed the version of the driver from the Intel site will, too--without success. Doesn't matter what tool I used to connect, Vista itself, or the specific tool of Toshiba (Radar), choice to get an encrypted Wlan connection.

WPA2 and WPA or WEP can be used. I can't get a Wlan connection when encryption is totally * disabled *! Currently, I use a * clear * Wlan to use this Tecra A10 in the network. Real gross and no solution for more than a few days.

All other devices in the same network can connect the router Wlan with WPA2-PSK and WEP, no problem. Only the A10 / WiFi 5100 fails.

Searching the Web I found really many reports all issue of WiFi with a WiFi 5100 devices, so it seems to be a generic material or / and driver issue.

How can I correct this Wifi 5100 connect problem and use encryption WPA2-psk on Tecra A10 and WiFi 5100 with Vista? If this is not possible, I have to return this laptop and get another model with a working Wifi / Wlan Hardware.

    Thank you.
    -Thomas

    Hello Thomas

Have you tried to connect your laptop to another router by friends or elsewhere?
It is really strange that you can use any of the WIFI ciphers available.
Have you tried to reboot your router?

I have Satellite A300-1LI with the same card, WLAN, preinstalled with Toshiba recovery WXP image and I use it sometimes linked to the WLAN with WEP encryption.
Have you tried to contact Toshiba or your local dealer for advice?

  • Tecra A10: Remove or disable 3G - map

    Hello.

We prepare a roll-out of Tecra A10 on several sites.
In some sites, we would like to remove or disable the build-in 3 g-card (Modell F3507g).

How to disable the fingerprint sensor, we use a very old version of tsuruwin.exe, but I do not see how to disable the 3g card. Requests for a version more recent or better are unanswered of our toshiba-sales-guy but his _months_ only 4 so I just have to wait a little longer.

If the sales guy does not, what are the options in question?
How can he be physically deleted (and reinsert 3 years later when the lease is in place?)
Or is there a software solution? Do not install the driver is not possible because of our environment, for example to allow us and supporting operating systems not supported toshiba, but some scripts don't behave well with a second connection to the "wired" LAN (what windows calls)... The scripts work with _one_ wired and unlimited "wireless" (what windows calls).

Yes, because of the existing scripts, I can "fail" the A10, which can cause red faces, but at least my ass is covered by papertrail.

    Thanks & bye.

    Hello

I doubt that you will be able to physically disable it without removing the motherboard to be honest I put t know any software that would do that too

In my opinion you just disable it in Device Manager
I put t average a driver uninstall but just disable
