Tecra A10 won't boot windows 7

Dear forum
I used Easeus todo backup to backup my OS.
Later I stupidly formatted the hard drive probably clear in the important boot partition/sector that may have existed.

After that I "restored" the windows image file on my laptop 7

Unfortunately, it does not start

When I start the laptop I get the message "insert system disk... then press a key."

Nobody knows is anyway I can now do my windows 7 bootable again please
Ian

Try to start the Windows 7 disc.
Then you should be able to start the Repair Console.
In the console, you can use the commands * FixMbr * and * FixBoot * to repair the master boot record.
In case this is not enough, I think you would need to reinstall the system again

    Thank you
    Ian

    Hello
There must certainly be a hardware malfunction.

    > "Maybe someone knows if the special 'sequence' of the flashing is listed as meaning any lease of particular problem."

Knowing that you can read the flashing code by using the following procedure:

Short blinking means 0 and long, 1.
The code can be something like 0001 0001

Error code begins with LSB (least significant bit), the error code should therefore be read starting with the last piece. This means that the code: 0001 0001 appears as 1000 1000
This code you need to turn it into HEX and you will get the error code.

But in my opinion, even if you want to know what is causing this problem, especially it s any malfunction of the motherboard (maybe also part connected to the motherboard as a RAM module) and it means that the integer part must be replaced.

  • Re: Tecra A10-19 t on Windows 7 64bits successes?

    Hi all

I intend to buy a Tecra A10 - 19 t and its docking station (PA3508E). I'll order it with 4 GB of RAM so I'll format it the first day to remove Vista32 to install seven (I don't like Vista) 64 (want all available RAM).
Someone has a return facility 7_64 beta or RC (same RTM) on this laptop? No problem with drivers (video, BT, Wifi, audio,...)?

    Thanks in advance,

    BELOKAN

As a general rule, Windows 7 can use the Vista drivers, drivers Win7 beta on the Toshiba site there we.

So if you can find drivers Vista 64-bit for the A10, there should not be problem.

  • Re: Tecra A10 - can I install Windows 7 64 bit?

    Hello Toshiba & Forum

I want to buy a Tecra A10 1GV, but always delveres Toshiba laptop with a 32-bit Windows 7 Prof
In my eyes that seems to be a Ferrary with a steam engine.

The version of recovery sometimes offer 32 and 64 bit Installation.
Does anyone know, if this would be possible with the Tecra A10?

Is something wrong with a Tecra and a 64 Bit - system?

    Michael

    derEntwickler

    Hi Michael,

In my opinion the Windows version (32-bit or 64-bit) has nothing to do with the hardware of the laptop. If you use 3 GB of RAM or less in my opinion 32-bit is sufficient because it s not slower or faster for 64-bit. It is just necessary to use 4 GB of RAM.

But as Al - eX has already written that you can download all the drivers on the Toshiba site. Check this box!

  • Tecra A10 HDD SATA drivers (Windows XP)

I need to download drivers Windows XP SATA HDD for Toshiba Tecra A10.

I searched all websites of Toshiba in the world and the closest I can find is "Intel Storage Manager" stating "Intel Matrix Storage Management utility to manage your local storage space, including support RAID, including drivers, you will need to provide the installation manual to make the HARD disk available to the operating system OS installer" in the description

However, the Intel Storage Manager cannot be installed on a laptop with XP is already installed. There is no drivers for the SATA HARD drive included in the compressed package I downloaded (stormng - 20080903143138.zip).

The SATA HDD drivers are available for this model? These are needed when you press F6 during installation of Windows XP, so it can detect the hard drive.

    Thank you.

I think you should download the + 32 - bit floppy Configuration Utility for Intel Matrix Storage Manager.
You will find the unique SATA driver .inf and dll files.

    These files should help you!

  • Re: Blue screen in Tecra A10 during installation of Windows XP

    Hello world

I try to install XP in a Tecra A10 and I get the blue screen of death each time I try. It's all beautiful download initially, but when it goes to 'Windows Installer', then the blue screen appears. Any ideas?

    Thank you

I imagine that you didn t include the SATA drivers for Win XP operating system.
The new models of laptop computers supports the SATA HDD controller and a SATA drivers are required to properly install the Win XP or Vista.

The SATA drivers are part of the Intel Storage Manager which is on the European driver Toshiba page.

I recommend the snatch and read some threads here in the forum about the SATA and Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers

  • Only UEFI won't boot Windows Installation DVD

As you can see on my subject matter, my phone W520 won't boot from my Windows 7 Installation DVD when it is set to UEFI mode only. I get no error or anything, just the screen goes black for a second and go back to the Start Menu and when I select the DVD player. For what it's worth, my hard drive is already partitioned GPT, and I need to repair the installation.

Before you ask for help, I just want to mention that I created this particular Installation DVD of Windows 7 using the all-in-one tutorial that I have 32-bit and 64 - bit options all on the same disc. The drive starts very well in boot mode "Legacy/UEFI", so I don't know what the problem is. Someone saw this?

EDIT: I followed this tutorial: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=186440 and I'm in step 14.

  • Satellite Pro A10 won't boot up - where to get the disks

I have a Satellite Pro A10 that currently does not start up Windows (XP) as it says

The following file is corrupted or damaged:
    C:\windows\system32\config\system

Tools & Utilities CD that came with my laptop has unfortunately been scratched and will not start.
I have two system recovery disks, which are very good.

    My questions:

    1. is it possible to buy a replacement Tools & Utilities CD-Rom?
    2. If Yes, where to go?
    3. is there a way to restore my laptop without having to reinstall everything completely and lose all my files?

    Thank you

    With regard to the point;

    (a) generally, it should be possible to order the CD of tools & utilities but I ask why?
    (b) you can buy the CD of the ASP in your country
    (c) the older recovery CD is supported by an expert mode. You can use this mode to choose the partition where the OS is to be installed. In this case only, this partition will be formatted.

But look, man. You do not need to order the CD tools & utilities because on this CD, you will only find the Toshiba drivers can be downloaded from the Toshiba page too.

  • Tecra A9 won't boot up until I'm not going to put pressure on certain place

I have a problem with my PC toshiba laptop tecra a9.
It does not start normally when I press the power upward button, but in some cases, when I set the pressure at the bottom of the laptop (somewhere in the middle between the RAM and the CPU modules). [I'm pressing here somewhere, but both CPU and motherboard seems to be OK | http://i44.tinypic.com/1zzs0tg.jpg]

I disassembled the laptop several times, but I couldn't find anything about the cause, and I couldn't find the exact spot, because I didn't want to start while he was not assembled back.
When I turn on my laptop, the screen remains black, but HARD DRIVE control custom light normally and the CPU fan crazy at maximum speed until I turn the laptop off ("beep coming, but it's a pretty strange as sound, beep dying")
(don't know how to describe it, it's like I would have cut the power of the signal sound emitor and level wither away within 2 seconds).

However, if I do not put pressure at this place and it presents itself, it starts perfectly and resist not stable I turn it off. I can also suspend-to-ram, but if I close the lid, im unable to exert pressure on this spot when I open the lid.
So I can't suspend, close the lid, and then recover.

I think that this could be solved somehow avoid something in post-test or maybe theres a sensor (idk). I heard on the internet that it could be linked to the power supply inside the laptop which is not very well connected
[My symptoms are very similar as in this case | http://www.laptoprepair101.com/laptop/2006/01/02/toshiba-tecra-te2100-boot-problem/comment-page-20/]

Oh I forgot, I have this problem since the time when my daughter down my laptop on the ground of couch - like fall of 40cm (this is why I believe that some might contact had been damaged or something).
Thanks for any response or assistance.

    Hello

    > Oh I forgot, I have this problem since the time when my daughter down my laptop on the ground of couch - like fall of 40cm (this is why I believe that some might contact had been damaged or something).

It is difficult to tell what's exactly or what part is exactly.

I don't see any details that could be wrong on the picture

But the region on the motherboard that you have marked showing the CPU.

Maybe the CPU is not correctly connected to the plug. This could be due to the decline.

Perhaps it would be useful to remove the cooling module and CPU and check it again

  • All new Tecra A10 won't stop beeping... 3 beeps HI-LO-HI

    Hello there are experts...

I just got a new work for laptop Toshiba Tecra A-10, and it won't stop beeping.

Everything works fine, but every 2 minutes, or until you get 3 beeps, low high high. I can mute the PC so I can't hear it... But what the hell is wrong?

Beeps start as soon as I get to the login screen after you start the system. The start process seems fine, I get the beep POST so I guess it's all good.

The battery is full, and the beeps continue with the power cable in or out and any battery capacity. I restarted many times and still do not know the computer on top of his head and he's away until Monday. I just want to go to the bottom of this myself, I'm sure it's something simple. The laptop is brand new also probably isn't a BIOS warning (I'm no expert - it may be).

I wandered through forum after forum and no one seems to have the same problem, then it might be something like one of these Toshiba applications was trying to tell me something?

Please help, anyone out there with all the answers?

    Thanks guys,.
    Steve K

In addition, there are a few programs installed since the laptop is... including the ABECAS and a few other software packages business including the TREND. Could this be something to do with those?

  • Tecra M5 won't boot to the top with 4 GB of RAM

    Hi all

I'm new on this and have a problem. I read that the Tecra M5 laptop can support 4 GB of RAM. I did a scan on crucial.com and which confirms what I had read, so I bought 2x2gb DDR2 PC2-5300 modules DIMM. I tried an and he worked with 1 GB in second slot manufacturing place a total of 3 GB and works fine, but when I swap the 1 GB for the other 2 GB and turn on the laptop, the screen stays white and I all boot can hear but nothing appears on the screen. My brother has exactly the same laptop with the same specifications and its 4 GB works fine.

Anyone can help the Please this problem?

    Thank you very much

    Sunnynagra

    Hello

To me it sounds like that both modules are not compatible set. The modules you purchased exactly?

Have you tested both modules only?

From my own experience I can recommend Kingston modules. Never had a problem with these modules.

  • Tecra 9100 won't boot to the top

    Hello

My Tecra 9100 will not start at all. Battery and disc hard drives light up but the machine does not illuminate and etc. cpu fan does not turn. I don't know if anything burned on the main panel, etc. that would stop it boot in the bios.

For any help or suggestion would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Steve

Sorry, but if there is any sort of reaction and if you are not able to enter the BIOS settings which suggest serious hardware problem. On this path, it is not possible to say what the problem is. Unfortunately I put t see any solution it and I guess the unit must be sent to the service partner.

  • Satellite A10 won't boot up - bad sectors on HARD drive

    Hallo,

    I have a Toshiba Satellite A10
    Model No.: PSA10E-018EZ-DU

The problem is that you comp. won't start.
There are some areas of bad or damaged HD
I ran chkdsk a few weeks ago, it has helped but now there are still problems.
    If chkdsk is running again.
Is there a better program to check your HD or should I do something else?

    A new HD?
What kind of HD am I looking for?
is a HD for a nootbook oke?
Or are there restrictions for a HD satellite A10?

    Puts goede groeten
    Kees Folmer
    http://www.csfolmer.nl

    HEY Kees,

There are other utilities that you can use to check your hard disk (Norton Disk Doctor for example) but CHKDSK is as good as all the others.

If you get repeated hard disk problems, then this is a good indication to a new hard drive. I suggest you try to backup your data even if you can't always. I'm not aware of any restrictions on the ability of any hard drive that you choose for your A10, but it must of course be the same as your existing drive form factor. You can also consider using a drive with a speed higher than the original drive.

    Kind regards

  • Satellite Pro A10 won't boot to the top

I really hope someone can help, my laptop suddenly stops. Since he stopped, I can't charge the laptop in any mode including safe mode. It happens on the screen as much as windows xp with the bar running along the bottom, but that's.

in safe mode simply load the drivers and then simply do nothing

any help would be appreciated as long as it's not yet my laptop

    Hello

It is possible that the HARD disk you are using has bad sectors. You can check this with different tools. I can recommend HDD regenerator. You can also try PowerMax 4.23.

Google around and you'll find useful info a lot on this topic.

  • Tecra A10 - 12Z BIOS 1.6 wanted to move to 3, but 'not supported' - W7H32

There are many problems with this Tecra A10.

As Windows Xp is disabled, I tried Windows 7, which is too awkward, so I wanted to try the eSATA operating systems. Although I could install Lubuntu on eSATA it would not start (no hard drive inside most) to eSATA, but booted from USB.

Read in the forum and put the Windows 7 Home 32 disk inside again and downloaded the BIOS update only to get a response "not supported".

The A10 has a Windows Vista professional sticker slot, is the only OS where this Tecra can get BIOS updated?

We have no records of Windows Vista.

Installation of Windows 2000 or XP, it's really a lot of time, even for 9 x.

The last beta demoCD with eComStation, todays OS/2Warp, works fine on the Tecra, it has Windows integrated 3.11, is that not? Windows 3.11 on a SD card installation must be as fast and as possible. If there are drivers available?

ReactOS (freeWindowsXP) is usually able to boot, but it is still in the alpha stage!

As for flat BACK? There are the LiveCD with BACK.

You can also find Vista LiveCD socalled VistaPE CDs on the net, but their origin is unknown.

What is the best option? Is there only one option?

    Hello

    > Although I could install Lubuntu on eSATA it would not start (no hard drive inside most) to eSATA, but booted from USB
I guess that the BIOS does not support booting eSATA port but just the USB port.
But it's just an idea... that should be checked once more in the BIOS settings.
Maybe a BIOS update would also help.

    > Read in the forum and put the Windows 7 Home 32 disk inside again and downloaded the BIOS update only to get a response "not supported".

BIOS update may be run from under Windows system only. But the BIOS update also requires some software additional Toshiba which depends on the system.

In the case of Windows 7 or Vista, the value of added Toshiba package must be installed. In the case of Win XP, you must install the package of common Modules.

To be honest I don t understand what you want to do
Tecra A10 is a great unit. I have the successor called Tecra A11. I use Win 7 and its really awesome OS. Much better than the beginning of Win XP
