Tecra A11-128 does not start - black monitor, only the fan is on

My laptop starts to boot, a few seconds later, the fan runs all the time and at full power. Here the detailed steps:
-Push the Start button (battery led is green)
-the hhd led is green for a short time, then off
-l' screen is black all the time
-After a few seconds, the fan starts at full power
-That deer situation change either, I must break with 5s on the Start button

I tried several keys (Fn + F2, ESC, F5) while starting up, as an external monitor. Nothing has changed.

Who has an idea? Thank you very much for your help!

Hello

If the start of the BIOS (or Toshiba) screen does not appear, it means that a serious motherboard hardware problem can cause this RAM modules or malfunctioning CPU would be possible
Recommends checking the memory RAM and CPU modules
The RAM modules could be replaced easily but it of difficult to replace the CPU and test it. Therefore, it would be a job for a technicians for laptop

  • Tecra A11 - 11N does not start after upgrading CPU

    Hello

I would like to do an upgrade of the processor for my Tecra A11 i5 - 430 M 11N to a probably much faster i5 processor. I thought that the i5 - 580 M'd, but the laptop does not start when I installed this processor.

I started the 430M, done some research on the internet and discovered that the 580 M has a very high FSB speed, and that is what probably does not work / not compatible with my machine.

    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/43537/
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/49653
    http://Ark.Intel.com/products/49652

    and also http://ark.intel.com/

Now, I went back to the computer store, returned the 580M and got an i5 - 560 M compared to its specifications as I've seen it would not compatible because it has the same speed of the FSB with the 430 M.

I then later in the day tried to install this cpu as an upgrade, BUT alas!
It STILL does not START ALSO.
I was dumfounded left. The processors in the same line of the family are supposed to be compatible between them provided: lithography, FSB and socket type are similar.

    Or what I'm missing here?
I did upgrades of CPU in many cases for desktop computers and laptops, and this is the first that has left me with no word to say!

    Please offer assistance or advice.

    Hello

Recommend to check this doc from Toshiba:

+ Can I put th CPU, screen, or motherboard in my Toshiba laptop? +
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/FAQ35006D000RR01.htm

Upgrading the CPU is not supported (officially).
The point is that, even if the chipset would support the new processor, it would be possible that the laptop wouldn't start because of compatibility problems between the BIOS or other components on the motherboard and the new processor.

Try to restart your machine and pressing F8 before the spash screen Windows appears.  Choose the option "last last known good configuration".

If this fails, you can try to repair your installation of starting for the original CD-ROM for Windows XP installation and choosing the option 'Fix' when prompted.

  • PC runs, but does not start. Monitor, keyboard and mouse with no signal.

PC runs, but does not start. Monitor, keyboard and mouse with no signal. Pretty much. And when you want me to remove the battery of the bios, or whatever, it seems tight and hard to get out because it is surrounded by other elements.

All fans work, the power/battery or anything that works I think that, since there is a fan on the right where it is and it seems to work. I remember what happens before, I don't know, but before that, there are many gels. This error below was made before all this happened, but I managed to run f8 and then run normally until it freezes again. Then, after that, it runs but does not start. No beeps etc. The best fans will have plenty of vouches and Bravo to wherever you like me to vouch or maybe send the great service that you provide to administrators if that's even possible, haha.

    Thanks in advance.

It is a sign of a lack of food.  Looks like you have a desktop computer?

Power supplies run about $50.  It is a rectangular box at the corner of the system in which the power supply will from the outside.  It's a pretty standard form in most of the PC and with a little investigation thorough replacements can be found.

It is usually held in place by 4 screws and can be held in place with a spring clip.

Most essential, is that you need to buy a replacement with the right number of straight plug forms to adapt to your PC.

This seems more complicated than it really is and takes about 5 to 10 minutes to do the replacement.

Look at the power output of the power supply failure and buy a new, more powerful.  New desktop PC usually come usually with a diet under size and what are the causes these failures is too strong a request for devices you have connected.  So, buy one with a higher power rating.  Usually about 500 Watts does the trick.

If you do not feel upwards to this task, a technician should not charge you much like this.

Don't listen to anyone who has you said that.

The best way to speed up your computer is to eliminate startup items which are unnecessarily run at startup.  Go to start | Search and type msconfig and then see what is running at startup and what other services are underway then as well.  You can eliminate selectively and then evaluate how fast your computer runs.

  • I have Windows 7, my computer does not start. I did the Startup Repair and he won't fix it. I did the system configuration information

I have Windows 7, my computer does not start. I did the Startup Repair and he won't fix it. I did the system configuration information. and that did not help. What to do now? The comment of Bios makes me fear that it could damage my computer forever. What should do? Help, please

    Hi Alan,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    I understand that the computer does not restart even after running Startup Repair and I will be happy to answer your query. I appreciate the efforts made to try to make it work. Let me ask you;

    • How do you run the Startup Repair?
    • Do you have Windows 7 repair disc?
    • Remember to no particular change in the computer before the show?
    • Have you plugged an external equipment, except the keyboard and mouse?
    • You are able to start the computer in safe mode?
    • What is the brand and model of the computer?

Note: BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

There could be several reasons why he's not leaving including hardware as well. In addition, it could be because the master boot record (MBR) has been damaged. When you try to use the Startup Repair tool to repair the MBR, the Startup Repair tool indicates that no problem was found or it does not work yet.

If you have any connected USB flash drive or other external devices connected to the computer, if you please, remove them and try to run the Startup Repair tool.

If you haven't tried using Windows 7 repair disc, you can try the following:

    1. Insert the Windows 7 disc
    2. restart your computer
    3. When asked if you want to boot from your DVD player, do it.
    4. Select your language, click Next.
    5. click on repair your computer
    6. Select the operating system you want to repair.

You can also perform the system restore by selecting the restore point when you think it worked very well. System Restore, choose advanced options using the disc.

Important: When you use system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, the programs and updates that you have installed after this date are deleted.

I also recommend to contact the computer manufacturer to get the done diagnostic equipment.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

Update your anti-virus software and run a full scan.

Then run a sfc/scannow to see what that brings.

  • Tecra A6 does not start with battery only

    Hi all
I'm having a strange problem with a Tecra A6 I picked up recently at the refurb because it does not start with a battery only: it starts only when / sector is also connected, but eventually DΘmarrer on battery alone (and works fine) with the power cord removed shortly after pressing the power button. It's just on battery alone, I get no answer by pressing the power on button (so the power outlet must be set at this first stage or I don't get anything).

Now I'm wondering if maybe it's the battery voltage? It seems that there are 2 options for this model, a 10.8 v and the other at 11.1V. With loaded Windows and Hardware Monitor reports running the battery is at 0% wear level and cool until completely (so I don't think that the battery is faulty), but it indicates that the battery is running at * 11, 1V, * but the battery installed is actually the * model 10.8v*. Could that prevent any power on only to batteries?

More information on the model I have:
    Tecra A6-PTA60E-0EJ013EN
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 Ghz
    2 GB of Ram.

Thanks in advance for any help on this one. Essential, I would like to know is if I have a 11.1V battery to run this model correctly (and get it) on battery alone. If the voltage makes no difference so I guess it must be a weird motherboard problem and I need bother not buy a new battery.

    > Will have to buy another battery and see if the same thing happens (I'll know then if it is the motherboard), but in the meantime if anyone can let me know if the voltage is serious I would appreciate it.

To my knowledge, the batteries for Tecra A6 should take in charge 10.8V
There's piles more strong for example 5200mAh but the voltage must be the same 10.8

  • Tecra M4-S435 does not start

My Tecra M4-S435 will not start.
When I turn it on, all I hear is a quick check of the DVD player, a hum of hard drive and fan.
I don't see anything on the screen at any time. I tried an external monitor and still see nothing.

Is this a failure of hard drive, the screen failure or something else?

    > That could tell if pulling the battery for 30 minutes he gets to start? (I have not tried with my original Tecra, but I will soon... I just have to put a hard drive in it first...)

I m not very well, but I guess that the BIOS would be defined default value that could help solve this problem.
I had this similar problem with my Toshiba laptop not and the same workaround helped also

    No, you can't.

If you have a true bootable XP with SP1 or SP2 installation CD, you can create a new installation CD with SP3 integrated using a process called "slipstreaming".

It is a pleasure to the project for a day and there are several methods, you can read on the Internet, such as BleepingComputer:

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial154.html

If you want to use the Recovery Console and is not a real XP bootable installation CD or are not sure what you have, simply create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console yourself (without XP media required)

    Here's how:

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

  • M17x R1 does not start - black screen - fan turns, turns on the keyboard, nothing on the screen.

    Hi all

    Newbie here and desperate.

I have a problem with M17x my son this morning. Everything worked very well and after some time, turned off the machine it self.  Now it does not start even - at least I think, it won't because there is nothing on the screen as it is empty.

I've tried several things, including trying to move on and outside, with or without a battery of the power cord.

I'm at a loss as to what could have happened.

    Help, please.

    Smakwam.

The gpu of cooking is very easy in fact, that you have designated your oven to about 275 degrees cover a cookie sheet with paper and configure the map out of it by winding 4 balls of aluminum foil and their definition on each corner of the map. you never want to have it put all directly on the sheet. do Cook for about 10 minutes then cool before coming back into the laptop. Always be sure to remove all of the components and the radiator and any residue of thermal paste. After sick cooking you need to reapply a fresh thermal paste. I use artic silver 5. It is has more detailed instructions on this online, as well as photos. You want to make sure it's your video card before you do it just to be sure. I just had to do it again last week, works like a charm for me every time.

  • Why Satellite Pro A300 does not start when you press the power button?

Suddenly my new Satellite Pro A300 does not start correctly when you press the power button. The situation is the following: when I press the power button is displayed the opening of Toshiba (Leading Innovation) and the disappers image quickly. Then there is a black screen for about 30 seconds. There is a rectangular frame with the text Microsoft Corporation under. And nothing happens however long wait.

In order to get with the trial starting I then shut down the computer by pressing the power button until the computer turns off. ("The hard way to close")
Now, I press the power button shortly to turn on the computer. Then, the computer starts normally with the photo to open Toshiba and after a few seconds, I wonder to open the computer in safe mode or in normal mode. I now choose to open in normal mode and the computer opens normally and is ready to work.

What should I do to get a normal departure procedure?

When the laptop starts normally (after choosing normal mode) stop your laptop properly using START > shut down option. Next launch should be normal.

When the OS is moving towards the low irregularly will always ask you how to start this new (secure or normal mode).
The same thing happen on my Satellite A300.

  • Satellite M50 does not start, go back to the screen with different start modes

My Satellite M50-130 does not start correctly. When you turn it on, it goes to a black DOS screen, saying: "We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this. "It offers me different start modes: Safe Mode, with networking and command prompt. Last good Configuration known; and start Windows normally.

I tried all the 5 options, gets the commissioning insofar as the Toshiba screen, but then with all the options, it returns to the initial screen offering the 5 modes of starting. Same thing happens when laptop works again.

The only recent software change, I've done was an update to Norton AntiVirus/Internet Security and I suspect that Norton is at least part of my problem, see history below. I know it's the Toshiba support site, but I tried Norton so many times without success, I gave up. Plus, I'm no expert at all, so I can't be sure that it is really the source of all my sorrows. All advice welcome!

The performance of my laptop has deteriorated seriously in the last two months. She is extremely slow, and cleaning of malware and unwanted General does not help. It began right after that I renewed the license of Norton last year and upgraded to the 2007 version. The worst downturns are always connected to direct upcoming Norton upgrade programs. I disabled the live upgrade, but programs always come to the top, and I can't stop them, a popup tells me that they are protected.

Wireless internet is also very capricious, even if another computer on the same network works fine.
During the last week, I had to relax a little internet security settings (from "moderate to severe" to "low to medium") because after an other update of Norton AntiVirus, I couldn't access to interactive Web sites.
It is perhaps a coincidence because Norton AntiVirus comes with updates at least twice a week - but what else could be the problem?

My apologies for the long rant, I am grateful for all the advice!
    Thank you
    I have.

    Hello

I think the only way to make your system works correctly again is to restore with the cdrom of onboard catering. Simply manage to save your data from your hard drive (the best way would be to put your machine's HARD drive in a USB - HDD enclosure and copy important data on another computer), then wipe the system completely off you hdd.

After that, the system must run again...

    Welcome them

  • Vista does not start after I disabled the service DCOMLauncher

Hi all.   I really hope that someone can help me with this, because I can't use my computer at all, and I have to use a notebook different to write this post.

The problem: Windows Vista does not start with the normal settings or Mode without failure.   To be more precise, after Vista starts, he has only a black screen and a limited mouse functionality.

The background & problem: I use Windows Vista Home Premium SP 2.   I have disabled the DCOMLauncher Service using the program Autoruns from Sysinternal.

What I tried: I tried to start Vista in Mode safe with no result.

Thanks to all those who are trying to help me.

When you choose Safe Mode choose last known good startup.

As long as your subsequent boots are deemed unsuccessful, which is perhaps not the case, this will start the configuration before using Autoruns.

    Safe Mode command prompt works?
