Tecra A20 + external mouse problem

Hello, I have some problem with a Tecra A20 which is connected to a docking station. If I start the laptop with the lid down and you start Microsoft Outlook the left button of the mouse on the external mouse acts as a right mouse click (the right button of the mouse serves as a right-click). Only, the fault occurs in Office applications and does not appear when the laptop is started when the cover is opened. I tried to reinstall all drivers for mouse/touch pad, Toshiba software and office software. I've also been through all the power save and docking of parameters, but the problem persists.

Hello

I use in my office series Tecra M with docking station and external keyboard and mouse. I have gift? t know how it is pre-installed in your case, but with my external keyboard and mouse, I myself? (troisieme party software? allows me a configuration complete external mouse.

Is the same situation in your case?

  • Tecra A6 - external mouse connected to USB erraticly port rolls

I have a new Tecra A6 with Windows XP SP2 running on it. The touchpad works fine, but if I use an external mouse connected to a USB port, the scroll wheel scrolls erracticly - jump an additional 6 to 10 lines every now and then, it's extremely irritating. Problem is there little matter which USB port I use.

The mouse is a new Logitech optical mouse. Have also tried it with a Microsoft Intellipoint mouse and a generic without brand name. In each case, I had the same problem.

I've updated the drivers - and turned off the touchpad (thought may have been a conflict), but the problem persists.

Any suggestions on where I should look for a popular solution.

    Hello

When you use an external mouse I recommend you disable the internal touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination. I do the same and there is no problem at all.

  • External mouse problems "shell common dll windows has stopped working".

I can't use an external mouse. When I go into the properties of the mouse it freezes and I get the following error message:

Properties of the mouse [trial version]
The Windows Shell common DLL has stopped working

    I am using Windows 7 32 bit
Any ideas on how to solve this problem.
    Thank you in advance.

Resolve the problem by uninstalling intellipoint a synaptics driver software in Add Remove programs. There is an incompatibility between these two software.

After you remove the software I installed the latest version of the Synaptics touchpad driver I installed direct driver update the Device Manager files extracted from Lenovo Touchpad Synaptics file 89te11ww\Synaptics\WinWDF\x64 and 64-bit Microsoft Intellipoint
This completely solves the problem with the windows common dll shell has stopped working message.
    Try it.
  • Tecra A2 external monitor problems

Recently, I broke the screen on my A2 and until I can afford to get it fixed, want to use a monitor tft external that I have. I use fn and f5 to enable vga but the resolution is all wrong, and when I try to change the tft screen is disabled and it is up to the laptop broken screen I can't see.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Hello

I put t know why you suggest that your resolution is fake because I checked the resolution display information and it seems that the max resolution is 1024 x 768.

In addition, FN + F5 key combination doesn't change the screen resolution but display devices. You can use this function to switch from an extended desktop, external display and two screens.
If you want to change the display resolution, so you should go to the display properties. Here, you can change the settings.

  • Tecra A2 - mouse problems

I have some problems with the external mouse on my tecra A2. The pointer seem to 'jump', sometimes across the screen, and it's pretty boring. I'm not sure of what the cause of the problem and still less what to do about it... The mouse is a Logitech optical mouse. I tried to change to a similar mouse but that did not help...
    What should I do?

    Hello

Try disabling the touchpad through FN + F9. Did you try it with mouse just wireless? You can try it with the mouse that is connected with a cable?

Sometimes I have the same problem, but it happens if the batteries are empty or if the mouse signal receiver is placed on the wrong place.

  • Tecra S1 - Accupoint / mouse Touchpad has become crazy

    Hello

I bought my Tecra S1 second hand about 2 years ago and it was working fine until I realized missed me the video card driver, once installed the cursor on the screen went weird, he kept by adhering to one side of the screen for a long time, I uninstalled the driver but nothing works She continued to do until I completely lost control of the mouse whenever I opened my laptop.

Recently, I decided to reinstall Windows XP Home edition to see if it was a software problem (of any kind) but still the problem of cursor. I don't know how an installation simple driver on my laptop has created such a hassle. I I am convinced that it is not a hardware problem since any device of mouse I use (mouse, touchpad, accupoint) the nuisance persists.

If anyone has any suggestions / solutions please let me know.

    Thank you

    Hello

I have older Tecra M1 and I had this problem. AccuPointer was defective and after Exchange of keyboard, everything was OK again.
Only thing you can do is to use an external mouse and disable the double pointing device in the properties of the mouse or by using the FN + F9 key combination. I did the same thing.

Of course, the touchpad driver must be installed.

  • Tecra 9100 + external keyboard

    Hello
I have a problem with a Tecra 9100. I want to use with a docking station and external mouse & keyboard.
The keyboard does not work, if I put it in the docking station, but the mouse is not serious.
I've changed some options in the bios, the keyboard works... after reboot it does not.
so I always have to go into bios, first of all, if I want to use the keyboard. But strangely, that I don't change something in biso, just the join and the left, that works for keyboard.

Get an idea what I could do?

    Hi paul

It is very interesting. Can you please explain what needs to be changed in the BIOS settings?

  • trackpad is not working I use an external mouse

trackpad is not working I have to use an external mouse.

Hey there, here are some tips that might solve your problem.

1 - Make sure you are on the last update. To see if updates are available for your trackpad, open the App Store and click the updates at the top of the window.

    2-

    Check your settings

Assuming that there were no updates available (or they do not solve your problem), the first port of call should always be your trackpad settings. Many complaints can be resolved simply tweaking a few options

  • External mouse and keyboard do not function correctly on the Satellite Pro C650

I have problem with my external mouse and an external keyboard. All started about 3 weeks ago. They freeze, jump or a stop, the most annoying is the mouse, I need to plug it back usually. This will work well about 1-5 minutes and once again. Touch Pad works well.

I have installed the latest Windows updates, also downloaded and installed the drivers from Toshiba web. I configured the default BIOS settings. Nothing helps.

I don't have a recovery disk to try it. Is there any solution other system recovery/reinstallation then?

    Someone had this problem?

    Hello

It is not easy to say on this issue.
Do you use wireless devices? Are the batteries OK?
Have you noticed the same problem with other USB devices?
I assume that the two uses of devices USB port of your laptop.

  • Satellite A350 - Touchpad does not work, but an external mouse works

Satellite A350 Touchpad does not work ok (unstable system and left button not loaded).

I tried to make the driver but nothing. No problem drivers (conf system). I have the driver for the touchpad stroped and with an external mouse everything is working properly.

What should I do? Don't you think it's hard or soft the problem. * The touchpad is NEVER worked.*

Thank you, and sorry for my bad English. :-(

    Hello!

The touchpad does appear in Device Manager or you have here yellow exclamation points?

Like Akuma says you can enable or disable the touchpad with FN + F9 key combination.
    Did you check that?

In the worst cases, you must go to an ASP. It seems to be a hardware malfunction, and this must be checked by a technician of the laptop. Here, you can search the nearest ASP:

  • Equium L40 - 17 M mouse problem

    Hi all

This afternoon, my right mouse button started playing up. When I use a browser - either Firefox or IE - and I right click on a hyperlink, it opens the new page in the current page. He mentions normal "right click menu", I want to keep, but I want to stop opening the page automatically in my current window. If I switch the mouse button settings, so that the right button is the primary button and the left is secondary, I don't have the problem. It occurs when the right button is the secondary button. I haven't changed anything that I know, not played around with anything... It just started doing it by herself!

Any help anyone has would be very welcome. Many thanks in advance,

    Hi shatteredroses

you use the keyboard or an external mouse?

try to uninstall the Mouse/touchpad hardware in the system running os in 'safe mode' Manager (start with pressed f8).
After reset the mouse hardware will be detected and reinstalled.
Make sure that the original toshiba touchpad driver is used! in case of doubt to install it manually. don't forget to restart.
    This should solf the problem.
you use a program like "mouseware" or installed programs that change the big picture?

  • Tecra A9 - external monitor black after closing lid

Greetings, I looked for answers to this but can't find so far.

    I have a Tecra A9.

My problem: I have an external display connected. Sometimes, when I get to work in the morning and open the lid of my laptop the monitor to the laptop and external monitor are black. I can restore the laptop using the shortcut key screen, but no matter what I can not do the external monitor to view anything until I restart. I tried turning power off and then on, by disconnecting and then reconnecting the data cable.

I leave my machine all the time, do not turn off during the night. I have the ability to shut down/hibernate/suspend on closing the lid off.
I have disabled all the management of the power supply for the monitor so that it turns off by windows.

I am running Vista 32 bit Ultimate Business and have a Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset Family. I checked Toshiba site for the latest version of the video driver Vista and have the latest installed. By checking on the Intel site, I learned that I have a custom Setup and you me advised to go to the provider's site for the latest version of the driver.

This problem occurs only occasionally and I failed to pin what make it even except what happens sometimes all night, maybe after I have use connection remote desktop to access the remote machine.

I think I might have a problem with the video card hardware, but of course I can't prove anything.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I test more?
    Thank you.

Try to update to other drivers, such as the package added Toshiba.

Updated the BIOS and try a new installation of Windows (run recovery) if possible.

  • Equium A100-147: can I use an external mouse wired or wireless

Hi just bought an A100-147, anyone knows if I can use an EXTERNAL MOUSE wired or wireless

    Hi Peter,.

You should, as far as I know, be able to use two types of mouse; I know that many people find it more natural and easier than the mouse pad integrated, but that is purely a personal preference.

A wired mouse plug directly into a USB port or a round PS/2 port, check the ports that you have before you buy anything, but you should have no problem with USB.

Use of wireless mouse a small receiver which plugs into a USB port and would be normally equipped with software to run it.

    I hope this helps.

  • MOUSE problem on y560

I just bought a new IdeaPad y560, works very well 4 now.

I have only 1 small problem.

When I turn on my Lenovo mouse (note pad works fine) will not work. If I unplug & plug it back the problem goes away. This pluging and unpluging is very annoying. Is there a relay 4 this problem?

I have installed the new BIOS, watched 4 new drivers, deleted all ports.

PS: I think im almoste here, but I'm not!

You can check if the problem persists with another external mouse?
