Tecra A4 hangs on Win 7 logo

Dear Advisor.

My Tecra a4 goes beyond installing but crashes on startup with windows logo 7.

I have tried several things but all fail, I see guys have an option to delete files on the command line but I don't know how.
Please guide me so that I can get this windows 7 works as I have no operating system. Only the tools of den of discs.

Thank you very much

Hello

Are you able to repair the operating system using F8?
Check it!
Press F8 during the startup of the laptop to the top, and then select Safe mode or fix my computer.
There should be option that would repair the OS.

If this is not possible, then you must Win 7 disk to reinstall the OS again...

Boot from that disk again and try to reinstall win 7 again.
If this is not possible, then it might be something wrong with the HARD drive or any other parts like for example RAM

I have a weird problem. My Tecra S1 'hangs' during the installation of a 'normal' Windows XP Pro (instead of using the ' image DVD). The fine installation until the 9 last minutes... then it 'hangs', and the laptop is no longer. Only possible solution is to get out the battery & cut the current. Hello

Just a small comment. In my opinion, if this should happen just with the Windows CD and every time in the same place, it may be just an error on the CD. Is there any scratch on the CD?

  • HP RP5800 - slow reboot - sometimes crashes on Win XP logo

    Hello world

We have at least 1,000 HP RP5700 installed in the cashier of supermarkets and we are starting to install HP RP5800 (in this moment at least 100 workstation).

With the HP RP5800, we have a problem that we have no idea how to solve. It happens that if the power is suddenly cut sound without turning off the RP5800 when restarting the PC is very slow to restart (sometimes more than 30/40 minutes) before the Win XP Logo. Sometimes, not even when restarting and crashes on Windows XP logo.

In the PC is installed as an application and some Opos Driver for devices (usually a fiscal printer Epson - a touch screen - a hardware protection key for the driver for the software)

Cash usually are not often after installation.

Yesterday we have experienced this problem at the same time on six hp rp5800 on a way to cash in six places paid with a stop of supermarket activity.

    HP RP5800 4GB HD500GB G850 POS PC
    OS Pos Ready 2009

Solved. It is not a hardware problem. The problem was due to a not well configured Intel AMT service. In fact, if this service is not defined in INF mode and the pc works for long periods it will create very large log files that are loaded at startup.

    Hello

Do you run a specific application while the laptop freezing?

These symptoms may be related to some software conflicts between installed applications or some drivers not work.

Have you ever tried to recover the laptop back to factory settings?
Otherwise, I think you should try this procedure and it must conduct audits after the device has been recovered...

Please also keep an eye on the MS updates would install automatically... sometimes it may happen that MS updates could confuse the system, and finally the windows would start freezing

  • Tecra 8100 hangs after startup

    Hello
My Tecra 8100 has the same problem as described some time ago: the memory locations of MB were broken and doesn't have a connection properly. Even when I put paper or anything else between the cover and the memory module, it did not work and often my laptop has not yet started.

I bought the new MB and now the laptop still start (I can see BIOS etc.) BUT crashes after Windows XP logo with notice: windows cannot start because the pci.sys file is damaged... The names of 'corrupt' are different, not only from pci.sys.

When I portable computer boot from CD Win (to save the system) it blocks (crashes after 2-3 minutes). I tried to boot from Ultimate Boot Cd to detect the problem, but I can't do anything - always crashes after a short period of time - never start to run tests or Tools CD.

I think that there is a problem of memory - I have 2 modules Kingston KTT-SO100/256, I tried to place them in different locations, together and alone, but nothing changes.
These modules have worked with my old MB all the time.

    Any ideas?
    Radek

I read on other forums that this error can appear if the modules of memory are corrupt or not compatible or the memory on the motherboard slot is faulty.

Well, you have replaced the Board but do you use 100% identical to that of first?
Perhaps modules of memory are not compatible with the new Board of Directors.

The laptop is returned to Toshiba (they have installed win xp from an original cd of microsoft, so I need activation, and I have to do this on 20 computers laptops and good course that no, the toshiba cd creator app, win the dvd...)

I contact toshiba, I'm not sure that they understand what I want, I got a new dvd of restoration with the same problem

Anyone has a solution I would be very happy

Maybe something to change in the bios but I don't know what?

    Thanks for any help

In General original Toshiba recovery image is tested and should work properly on certain model of laptop. If there is a problem with recovery original you should clarify this with Toshiba directly.
As far as I know the BIOS should be set to default settings and nothing should be changed in the BIOS settings when you want to use the recovery image.

All I can imagine is that there is something wrong in the image itself. In the past, I had a similar problem with old Portege 2000.

Is done: If you want to use the original image you must clarify this with Toshiba. Toshiba must offer good job recovery image. If you want to use own WXP then you must purchase the license for this. Toshiba has nothing to do with the activation of the OS.
(> I have to do this on 20 computers, laptops and of course not, the toshiba cd soft > creator, win the dvd...)
    How to understand this?
You want to buy a recovery disk and install it on 20 laptop computers Tecra absolutely identical?

  • Tecra 8100 hangs up and CPU gets hot

I updated the bios and the performance max cooling and the dynamics processor and then put in a new HD. I then installed Win XP.
During the installation of the cooling fan was still running and completed the installation of the OS. Now, my laptop crashing all the time. The hanging of the changes of time (between 5 and 60 minutes).

I noticed that the fan rarely during 5 s maximum, and the computer gets very hot. The fan is supposed to turn all the time by running and changing speeds according to temp or is it normal that it be turned off. Are there steps that I missed during the installation or special drivers to install.

    Hi frank.

Tecra 8100 is a little older. Am I wrong? I checked the page of the Toshiba driver and there is not a lot of XP drivers for this Tecra series. Most of the drivers are for OS W2k Win98and.

I recommend you to check the cooling fans. Maybe dust and debris inside prevents air flow correctly and so the laptop can not be cooled very well.

It s a fact that stuck fans are mainly responsible for overheating problems

  • Tecra M9 - need to Win 7 driver for PCI communication controller

    Hello world

I've been clean installation Win 7 32 bit on a Toshiba Tecra M9 and thereafter, all drivers.

Now in the Device Manager it is still an unidentified device called "Communications controller PCI (single)", with several starting hardware ID by "PCI VEN_8086 & DEV_2A04 &.

I can't identify what device it is, I searched for hours and a lot of people seem to have this problem. Everything works, except that a Campbell Scientific device (USB adapter to an owner interface) does not work and I fear that this could be the cause.

    Can someone help me?

    Best regards

  • Store.E Canvio HDD - Win XP logo test has been placed correctly.

Try to install this drive but says that he has been testing windows logo for XP compatibility.

    Why?

    Hello

To my knowledge, this error pops up to avoid errors with Windows hardware and related software that is installed. Mainly the indication that the software or driver or one of the files is not signed for the version of Windows that you are using in your case of Win XP.

Windows system conduct detection signature each time an INF file is used to install the equipment from a designated device class. You can simply the button continue the installation of the software

For the future, you can turn off this kind of message.
    1. open system in Control Panel.
    2. on the Hardware tab, click driver signing.
    3. under verification of signatures of file, click on ignore, warn or block
Click Ignore to allow all device drivers must be installed on this computer, regardless of whether they have a digital signature.

  • Tecra A3x hangs at "Setup starts windows" during the XP installation

    Hi again
I posted another thread on this laptop. This question was cured by adjusting the correct CPU.

So, now everything seems fine. Everything seems to work except very well.
During the installation of XP, the drivers all will charge them and then we get the text 'Setup starts windows' the lower left of the screen.
It does not further, just sitting there.

I googled this problem and read many old threads on the subject, I went to the Microsoft website too.
So far I tried (on the basis of these old threads)

    Different installation discs
    Different memory
Disable (in bios) that anything not reqd such as Lan
    Reset the default bios settings
You press F5 when invited to press F6 for scsi drivers. From there, I tried different setting options.

The current bios is 1.30, I understand there is a update available for 1.4 but it is a basic installation Win rather than back may be done without THAT installed XP.

Suggestions for what the problem maybe?

    Hello

What version of Win XP you try? Win XP contains the SP3?
Please include to the Win XP SP3 using a tool called nLite and then try to reinstall Win XP.

AFAIK the Tecra A3x support a common IDE HDD so no driver RAID or SATA is necessary.

You can also check the HDD of the Tecra.
Use the tool called Drive Fitness Test to test the HARD drive

    Good luck

  • Tecra A9 move from Win XP SP2 to SP3 - questions?

Anyone have trouble with their Tecra A9 when upgrading to Windows XP SP2 to SP3? I've heard horror stories with other laptops that users lock their systems or lose functionality.

Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences.

    Hello

I m not Tecra A9 owner but I already installed the SP3 Win and I didn't notice any strange problems after installing SP3.
Of course, it might be possible that some drivers would not fully compatible with some fixes and patches but it seems that I m a lucky guy and there is nothing wrong with my operating system.

But to be honest; I didn't notice any improvement after the installation of Sp3.
However, you can install Sp3 on your system and if you have great compatibility problems you'd still be able to remove the SP3 of the system.

    Welcome them

  • Tecra A8 hangs sometimes

    Hello

My Tecra A8 freezes, sometimes several times a day, sometimes once a week. The only thing I can do is to shut down the computer with the power button.

Sometimes it freezes completely, but the network connection drops and the mouse does work only intermittently. I have also noticed once when I plugged the USB mouse, LAN does not work anymore, and when I disconnected the mouse, LAN began to work again.

I think that the gel is also linked to some kind of conflict between the mouse and LAN, but Device Manager shows not all conflicts.

I'd appreciate any help. I'm on WIN XP Professional with SP2. Thank you in advance!

    Hello

Can I ask you if you use the Toshiba pre-installed factory image?
This image of Windows has been tested and verified several times and it should work without any problems!

For me, it looks like a software conflict.
So, if would be very interesting to know if this strange behavior would happen after installing fresh OS from CD recovery of Tosh!

    Try this!

  • In the start-up procedure, how can I remove "press ESC to access the Start Menu" when the machine hangs at the HP logo screen?

    Hello

I am running 64 Win7HP on a laptop HP dv3, processor Core 2 Duo 4 GB DDR2 Ram, 320 GB HD, just as it came out of the box when purchased directly from HP replaced EXCEPT Vista OS with 64bits Win7HP.  Machine worked fine until the LAST update of Windows, where during the reboot, I got to the HP logo screen and in the lower left corner of the screen appeared the statement (for THE FIRST TIME) "Press ESC for the Start Menu."  Pressing Esc translates into another command "press Esc...".  Break. " When you press ESC, you get a black screen until the machine goes to sleep UNLESS you press Ctrl + Alt + Delete. If you press the 3 key combo, it will continue to start and brings you to the screen of your password for access and then operate nicely, until you turn off the system. So, how can I get rid of the superfluous instructions and get this thing here where he turns and goes directly to the screen of password without intermediate steps?  Restore points are long since gone for immediate access to the front last Win Update.
The answer may be simple, but until now it has escaped my low range.  Any help is appreciated.

  • Tecra M10 hangs when booting with the new OEM battery

    Hello world

I bought an OEM battery for my tecra and now the laptop freezes at boot (the screen remains black with a flashing underscore) with the battery connected.
I have to remove the battery, connect the AC adapater, turn on the laptop and, after loading of windows, and then connect the battery.

    Any idea?

    Thank you

    > I bought an OEM battery for my tecra and now the laptop freezes at boot (the screen remains black with a flashing underscore) with the battery connected.

In most cases underscore flashing is related to the problem of faulty RAM or HARD disk.
In my case, the HARD drive was defective and so I had the same symptom for laptop.

I m not very well where is the link between the blinking underscore and the new battery but the computer world everything is really strange sometimes and a lot of strange things can happen so maybe the new battery is defective

Have you noticed this problem with the old battery?
If not, then I recommend test another battery maybe it helps
