• Tecra M5: Questions of Protector Suite

  Hello:

  I installed my protector following the version 5.4.0.
  It was working perfectly before the upgrade. I'm running a Tecra M5 with XP.
  Now when I sign on an application with it, the first field is filled just in all areas in demand no matter what I choose.

  For example, if the first field of the sign on is a "bob" name and the second is the password and then address, the protector suite will bob in all areas.
  When I look in the registered applications, all the fields seem to correct it.

  Someone had this problem as well?

  My Tecra S5 does not have same German air smelt, but when you change another user account, the software of fingerprint (Protector Suite 5.6.0) suddenly talk to me in German. All messages are in German, the Internet Explorer help page in German, and I have no idea why.

  Can I put this somewhere? Why Microsoft suddenly decides that I need to speak German?

  I have a laptop of VGZ-Z590 series. I tried to update my program Protector Suite and driver to support a newer version of Firefox. After several hours of frustration, I lost all the features of the fingerprint reader. Nothing of what I'm doing, including roll using the system restore works.

  I downloaded the drivers for Win7 and good program from the eSupport site. When I install it, it seems to have completed since I get the message "Completed" in the program. After I finished, I get a Windows error install saying it didn't install properly!

  Someone had a little luck upgrading the Z Series notebook to the latest version of the drivers UPEK and Protector Suite software? Are there special methods or tricks I have to respect?

  Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I want to disable the fingerprint reader and bios password at startup of the computer.
  I already uninstalled upek protector suite ql 5.4.0.2934, but at the start, I'm still prompted to slide my finger.

  In the field "Enter new password" press only in order to remove the old drive HARD password... Repeat this in the field "confirmation"...
  Then he must change the password for HARD drive status to "unregistered".
  After that, save the BIOS changes and exit the BIOS.

  I used to use VISTA and I have registed finger the index print until yesterday. I deleted all the partition and then installed Windows 7 and installed all the drivers. I could all registry middle finger, but I was no longer able to index regisger.

  Another reason, I created a new windows profile and delete the old profile of windows. After that, I could not record not only the index, but also major as well. I guess these finger print data stored outside the windows user profile, but I can't find where it is. How I remove registerd information?

  I have Toshiba Satellite! 100-906 with Windows XP and experience the following problem. Earlier this week, I had a problem of Trojan and virus one of the programs that I used to solve it identified the exe of the protector suite as infected. Right there I can't remember that "protector suite ql ' does 'my safe' and deleted.

  So I don't have access to my safe. I double click on the shortcut and nothing happens.
  I have precious files there and in no way want to lose them.

  What can I do? If I managed to find the exe file somewhere it'll work?

  I appreciate all the help which will lead not to my loss of files in my trunk.

  (1) Protector Suite 5.4 sometimes generated a crash of Windows XP on my Portege M400.

  (2) I followed the suggestion of WinXP and upgraded to version 5.8. Unfortunately, this way I lost the automatic access features to Web sites protected by (the online help 5.8 says that this module is optional, but I have not found how to install it).

  (3) so I uninstalled the 5.8 and put again on the 5.4.

  However, as far as I know, you can use ONLY PS to enrol fingerprints.
  Have a look here:

  There is an option that can cancel the stored fingerprints.

  If uninstalling the software didn't help then use and clean the BONES and using a tool, for example, the registry CCLeaner.
  It deletes all files and data on the HARD drive (in the registry) which have not been removed by Windows.

  The Protector Suite QL software has been bundled with the Toshiba laptop and found only in the image of Toshiba. If you want to use, you will need to retrieve the X 200 with the Toshiba CD.
  There's no other way to install this software because the program cannot be extracted from image on the other way.

  To be honest I don t use Protector Suite and I don t decrypt my files but I know you wouldn't be able to decrypt the encrypted file if your fingerprints have been deleted and you didn't set a password.

  Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.
