Tecra M1 full installation - no recovery disk

I want to install Windows XP pro on my Tecra M1. It can not recognize the wireless card, and I just tried all the drivers in the download for Toshiba Tecra M1 section. The only error I have found on the Net controller in Windows XP hardware device.
ON my laptop, I have this kind of WiFi: PA372U-1MPC, but I don't know if this is a cisco, intel... MINI PCI CARD

Hello

Have the same specifications as you and WiFi card with PA3272U-1MPC part number is listed in the Device Manager as Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter.

Good bye

  • Satellite Pro C650: Questions regarding the installation of recovery disk

    Hello

can someone give me some help please?
I will have to purchase and install a recovery for my C650 Pro Sat disc.
When I get it I just plug and play. I also lost windows 7 which was preinstalled, or I can also to buy a new copy of windows 7 and install it too?

It will then just go back to how it was when we brought.
Or should I do something else after the recovery disk is installed.

    Thank you
    Tina

    Hi Tina

You must boot from the recovery disk to put the laptop in the same State as on the first day of purchase.

The Toshiba Recovery disk format the whole HARD drive and automatically installs Windows 7, Toshiba tools and utilities, drivers, therefore, boot from that disk and you will need to follow the instructions on the screen.

  • HP all in one 21 - 2035 t: installation of recovery disk when replacing failed hard drive with small HD

I have a 1 TB HD failure I want to replace it with a 250-500 GB HD SSD. Do I need a HD 1 TB replacement using the recovery disk? The only programs/applications are MS Office software and printer, so I know that there is enough space.

    Thank you, Paul.

The system would expect the 1 TB drive.  If the defective disk can last another cycle, you can use the migration software in the smallest drive. Just read the procedure to reduce the original smaller size.

  • Re: Satellite U305-S7477 - problem with a clean installation of recovery disks

I'm trying to do an OS clean installation of Vista on a new hard disk, the installation proceeds correctly, but in the end, instead of asking me to create a user id and password as the machine makes first start upward when it is new, it shows a login for the administrator with a message that the administrator account has been disabled , and enter another pre-existing user name and password, that I have not since this is a clean install.

Toshiba wants to get only the recovery on top a pre-existing installation of OS? It would be quite a limitation and would prevent one to recover their machine after the death of a hard drive.
Any thoughts? I look through the docs for a password by default, but if it's there I have not found it.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

To be honest, your question is strange to me. The fact is, for the installation of an operating system you can use Microsoft DVD or DVD Toshiba recovery facilities. In both cases the installation is almost complete you must enter your user name and password (optional). There is no difference at all.

I made repeated several times on WXP and Vista installation. No difference at all. Username must be entered always and I didn t notice such problem, as described in your ad.

So please try to reinstall the OS and pay attention to every step of facilities. Images of recovery facilities are tested, and I can't imagine Toshiba s people can control something like that.

  • BOOTMGR is missing: no installation or recovery disk!

    Hello.
I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 and run Windows Visa Home Edition.

I wanted to restore my laptop to its factory settings, but the Recovery Manager would not work. When I click on it it would just restart the computer without anything else happening. I then right click on computer > manage > Disk Manager and made the recovery partition active. When I restarted the computer it has started to show:
    BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
Of course, brings us to the same message after restarting the computer you. I can't access the F8 button. F10 only works (Bios). I do not have a recovery or installation CD because it came not with the laptop when I bought it.
Is there anyway that I can change the active partition in drive C, this deactivation of the recovery partition? I read that it was possible to access Disk Manager cmd window, but I do not know how to access since the key F8 does not work (makes just a bipping sound when you press on)?
I'm also abroad so cannot send my laptop to HP for fixed it. Any ideas?
    Thanks for your suggestions.

Scroll down the page and get > Bootable CD ISO and > ImgBurn to burn the iso image to cd, a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here. Once created, boot from it and allows you to change the active partition.

  • After you have reinstalled windows Vista is full and my recovery disk (d :))

When I restart my computer, it seems that I have now 2 versions of Vista installed on the D: drive but Boot Manager does not let me start the 2nd version - how can I delete this version without removing the working version?

It cannot be, if this is the case, you have just two entries to startup, and isn't a working installation. To delete the boot entry, you don't want to, follow these steps:

    Click Start, type: msconfig.exe

    Press enter on your keyboard

    Go to the Startup tab

Select the entry, and then click Remove

    Click apply and OK

When you are prompted, restart the computer.

You use it to restore your system.

You are NOT supposed to touch it... not for nothing is add or remove anything from.

You call the manufacturer of the computer, tell them the situation...

  • Recovery disk Tecra M2 installs but happens with incomplete installation

Tecra M2 worked fine, it's a good little machine without running out of space.
I tried to install a new drive HARD 160 GB (Seagate) was 60 GB (Hitachi).
I used the recovery on the new HARD drive disk, it formats the drive sets up XP Professional, gets that me recorded by Microsoft OK, but when the laptop wants to run Windows it bombards gives me a blue screen ('dumping' memory etc.).
When the laptop reboots, in "Safe Mode" message pops up that the 'Installation was incomplete. Re-install Setup.
    First question: -.
Is it possible to 'fix' the installation with the recovery disk?
Another disk of Windows XP CD - seems unable to repair the installation.

    Then
    Second question: -.
I tried to do a complete reinstallation from scratch, with the Windows CD - no problem. But then I need to install the drivers - got the support of Toshiba OK and I see the recovery disc has a whole bunch of the 'fix' but the June 10, 2006 forum thread "necessary driver after installation of Windows on TecraM2, gives the order of installation: no problem except that I cannot locate"Microsoft Windows XP Professional Step by Step Interactive"anywhere - I looked everywhere for it?

    Hi Ollienz,

I'm a little confused about your Mr. ad you want to install Windows from Toshiba Recovery disk or normal drive of Microsoft? What do you do now?

Theoretically, the recovery disk might be scratched so that installation can t be completed so successfully in your case, I would like to try a Microsoft Windows XP disk.

I did a Google search for this Microsoft Windows XP Professional Step by Step Interactive and I found it s an update of safety for interactive training but it doesn t seem to be important for the driver installation:

  • Need recovery disk or recovery for my Tecra A11 image

I have a Toshiba Tecra A11 and had a problem with the operating system, so a friend offered to fix it for me, when he said fix what it meant try and install completely wrong Windows 7, but at the same time destroy the removal of the partition, all built in Windows 7 pro installation.

So now I need a file or a CD specific boot to a USB key. Anyone know where I can get one or download one without having to pay 35 quid for a new Toshiba?

    Thank you
    Tom

Recovery file cannot be downloaded. Toshiba offer as only recovery disk. Download an iso file won't help you much because you will not be able to start the recovery image installation.

Either you find someone who has the same Tecra and use its disk or you must order one on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

    Hi all

My thoughs is that the image is corrupt.

The error that you declare, is a fault with the Vista disk image cannot be applied to the hard drive.

Which you used 2 recovery discs of different product, which would indicate that there is not support for product recovery but a defective hard drive, possibly bad sectors on the hard disk.

If the laptop is in it duration of warranty, then give Toshiba a call for the book on deposit for a repair of the equipment.

  • Re: Blue screen on Tecra R850-1HU install Win XP Recovery disk

    Hello

I have a Tecra R850-1HU that comes with windows 7 pro

I stopped the media recovery for win xp

The installation is correctly with xp and when I reboot, I see the logo win xp for 1 second and then screen (0x0000007B) Blue

    I try safemode... nothing works

I have load mini windows xp from a cd and I see all the files on the hard disk from the cd of recovery if it s installed

I try to put the bios sata to ahci or compatible with the same problem

I try many times with the same problem on a different machine with the same problem

The laptop is returned to Toshiba (they have installed win xp from an original cd of microsoft, so I need activation, and I have to do this on 20 computers laptops and good course that no, the toshiba cd creator app, win the dvd...)

I contact toshiba, I'm not sure that they understand what I want, I got a new dvd of restoration with the same problem

Anyone has a solution I would be very happy

Maybe something to change in the bios but I don't know what?

    Thanks for any help

In General original Toshiba recovery image is tested and should work properly on certain model of laptop. If there is a problem with recovery original you should clarify this with Toshiba directly.
As far as I know the BIOS should be set to default settings and nothing should be changed in the BIOS settings when you want to use the recovery image.

All I can imagine is that there is something wrong in the image itself. In the past, I had a similar problem with old Portege 2000.

Is done: If you want to use the original image you must clarify this with Toshiba. Toshiba must offer good job recovery image. If you want to use own WXP then you must purchase the license for this. Toshiba has nothing to do with the activation of the OS.
(> I have to do this on 20 computers, laptops and of course not, the toshiba cd soft > creator, win the dvd...)
    How to understand this?
You want to buy a recovery disk and install it on 20 laptop computers Tecra absolutely identical?

    Hello!

I want to know if it is possible to upgrade my Tecra M9 about RAM - memory? I think that I now have 2 GB.
I also need to know if Toshiba sells a recovery disk to my computer with Windows 7, or do I have to buy a Windows 7 disc and serch for drivers on my own if I want to have the new operating system?
My language on the portable computer setting is Swedish.

    Cordially Mikael

    Hello!

I also put t know how much RAM have been mounted, but I checked the Tecra M9 user manual and it can be upgraded to 4 GB of RAM. This means that you need two modules with specification of SO-DIMM DDR2 200pin for upgrade. In the user manual, you can find some information about it.

On the issue of Windows 7, I think that Toshiba will not release a Windows 7 recovery disc because this model isn't Windows 7 supported:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/KBA9A02PX0000R01.htm

You can install Windows 7 from a Microsoft disc but you will have to collect the drivers on different websites or other, you use the Vista drivers.
