Tecra M11 - 11J - cannot install Windows 7 64 bit
Tried to upgrade a Tecra M11 - 11J for Windows 7 64-bit.
The installation gets all the "Loading Windows files" screen, then turns off and freezes, with the release of maxing out CPU fan but no HARD disk activity.
Have tried to reinstall XP (works fine), flashing the BIOS to the latest version, re-seats of the RAM, change the HARD drive in "Compatibility" mode and reinstall Win 7 - same problem.
Have you tried Win 7 32 bit - the same problem.
Installation of USB, instead of DVD - same problem.
Different flavors of Win 7 - same problem!
It's extremely frustrating.
I upgraded the memory up to 8 GB, hoping to take advantage of this with W7x64 and now I'm stuck with a XP machine and 4 GB of of of the RAM to lose.
Would be very grateful for any suggestion.
Thank you.
and installation of Win 7 does not even using the old 4 GB of RAM?
Or have you tried to install Windows 7 on the Tecra M11 using the new 8 GB of RAM?
What of the HARD drive? The HARD drive is displayed on the first page of the BIOS?

Cannot install Windows 7 64 bit
I can't install Windows 7 (64-bit), because it shows that my hardware cannot support. I installed the 64-bit version earlier, and there is no hardware changes since then. In addition, on the same system can be installed Windows 8 (64 bit)! Suggestions how to install Windows 7 (64 bit) on this system.
If you have compatible hardware and your computer still stops responding, disable any unnecessary material. Remove (USB) universal serial bus devices. Remove or disable network cards, sound cards and cards of the series; and then restart the installation.

Hello
I have Lenovo g580 which had pre-installed BACK inside {i5, 500 GB, 4 GB} and initially I had installed Win 7 32 bit on it. At that time, there was some problems while rebooting the 1st time, but I ran windows repair option and everything went well.
But the problem came when I tried to install windows 7 64 bit on the laptop with a DVD, no matter which drive to choose, it only allows me to move forward. When I checked the details, I got the error message which is attached here.
There is no option of disk controller in the BIOS, or anything whatsoever the UEFI systems tto.
I did the r & d on uefi systems, but I want to be sure of everything until I get ahead of what it is.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for no help guyz!
but I found a way... so for anyone else out there... Here is the solution...
- When installing to the partition screen, press SHIFT + F10.
- At the prompt, type diskpart and press ENTER.
- Type list disk (not the number of the disk to be used)
- Type select disk X, where X is the number of the disk to use.
- Clean type. This erases all data on your system.
- Type convert gpt
- Now reboot the system with the DVD/USB, and you will see only the unallocated space. Use to install the new windows.
Be warned however, this clears the partition table on the disk; Make sure that you have a backup before attempting this, if you have important data

Can Tecra S10-176 - I install Windows 7 64 bit?
Hi all,
I'm new to this forum. I just bought a Tecra S10-176 with Vista Business 32 bit and I could upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 32 bit pay 29 euros.
However, I'm tempted to buy a license for Windows 7 Professional 64 bit OM. Since Toshiba support center (Italy), I have not received any clear indication of the benefits of the Tecra S10-176 with the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Professional. Can someone tell me if it is (or is not) a bad idea to install the 64-bit version on my Tecra S10-176?
Thank you
MarcoHello
Theoretically, you can install what you want on your laptop. It s yours! ;)
And I don t understand why you think that Windows 7 64 bit n t be a good idea.I checked the Toshiba for Windows 7 64 bit drivers page and it seems that they are all available. This means you get all drivers! :)

Re: Tecra A10 - can I install Windows 7 64 bit?
Hello Toshiba & Forum
I want to buy a Tecra A10 1GV, but always delveres Toshiba laptop with a 32-bit Windows 7 Prof
In my eyes that seems to be a Ferrary with a steam engine. The version of recovery sometimes offer 32 and 64 bit Installation.
Does anyone know, if this would be possible with the Tecra A10?Is something wrong with a Tecra and a 64 Bit - system?
Michael
derEntwickler
Hi Michael,
In my opinion the Windows version (32-bit or 64-bit) has nothing to do with the hardware of the laptop. If you use 3 GB of RAM or less in my opinion 32-bit is sufficient because it s not slower or faster for 64-bit. It is just necessary to use 4 GB of RAM.
But as Al - eX has already written that you can download all the drivers on the Toshiba site. Check this box!

Tecra Z50 - A - cannot install Windows 10 due to bluetooth rfcomm
I have a Tecra Z50 - A - 11 C and the app to get Windows 10 mentions the following meesage: "device manufacturers didn't have these Windows 10-compatible devices, so they do not work. Check with the manufacturers for support".
Suggestions for the specific driver would be appreciated.
Try to disable it in Device Manager before installing Win10.
Windows Update should install a new driver, installed once Win10.

Cannot install windows 7 64-bit on a 64-bit computer ultmate
Here's an update: I have indeed checked the system properties and it shows the CPU like AMD 6 core 64-bit and the 32-bit version of Windows 7. I also made sure I was using the installation titled disck 64-bit software. Just to be sure I still once wiped the hard drive and loaded the software 64-bit with the same results, and then re-cleaned the hard drive and loaded 32-bit software with the same result.
Probably you got a disk of classified. Try to download a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate by following the instructions I provided:
How to: What are my options for Windows 7 reinstall media?
Make sure you scroll down and read the section:
What to do if you cannot get your manufacturer recovery media, refuse to use or to buy it or the Microsoft Software Recovery Website does not work?

Please help: cannot install Windows XP (64-bit) on my Macbook Pro.
Hi all
I desperately need help! I've installed and upgraded to VMware Fusion 2.02, then created a Virtual Machine (Windows XP Professional) and inserted my XP Pro. Editing student (64-bit) in my disc drive.
The virtual machine starts, and moments later he said: "trying to load an x 64 operating system, however this CPU is not compatible with this mode. Please install a x 86 32-bit operating system"
Now, I tried to do some research to solve the problem, and VMware says that any version of 2.0 + would make 64-bit Windows OS works. Apparently, this isn't the case! VMware Tools is installed, either, but you do not have to install the guest operating system to install the tools? I'm certainly in computing, but not knowledgeable like any of you. What can I do to fix this? I'm really bummed that this cool software I bought does not work for me. =(
I have a Macbook Pro Intel Core Duo 2.16 GHz under Leopard.

Server 2003/2008 drivers for Tecra M11 - 11J
Hello
I had to install Windows server 2003 on a laptop (don't ask) and cannot find a driver anywhere. Have tried all the windows drivers on the drivers page and had no luck.
Thought that I'd stick 2008 there to see if it automatically recognized but no luck there either.
Anyone know how I can get around this?
I also tried to figure out what model NIC is installed, so I can get the drivers directly from the manufacturer (Intel I guess), but Goggling it comes with anything.
Hello

Hello
Here is another solution, you can try to see if you can get Windows 7 to install correctly.
Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).
An example of a COA label can be seen here.
You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the version exact same origin supplied with your laptop ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write that an ISO on a disc is here. These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.
Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit
Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

All pilots additional and the software, you may need can be found here.
Kind regards

Description of the problem: same problem on the computer desktop and laptop at the same time began: cannot install Windows updates (has no status)
No hardware changes or software recently made to the system: I followed the usual procedure to install Windows updates.
Method of connection: wireless
Technical expertise: intermediate level
Performed troubleshooting: because the error # 80071 A 90 type indicated by the system, I followed the instructions of Windows Help and Support, for example to run Microsoft Fix it which did not work; a more advanced method has also been used, who recommended to start Windows Update in Mode safe, then open Windows Update and install the updates and then restart normally. At this point, the problem was that any stage of Windows Update was available.
Hello amib004,
As much as I know, only Windows Update cannot be run in safe mode. That being said, I saw where install several updates may conflict with each other. Try to disable all updates installation and install the updates failed one at a time.

Looking for a driver for Intel active management technology (AMT), on my Tecra M11 - 11J

Why the Tecra M11 - 11 M got only the 32-bit version of Windows 7?
Why the Tecra M11 - 11 M has only the 32-bit version of windows 7 and 64-bit?
Surely the i7 and 4 gb can deal with applications and the 64-bit version would allow a more efficient use of computing power.
Thank you very much
Hello
You can try the 64-bit Vista for Windows 7 64-bit driver, most of them must be compatible. I don't know why Win 7 64 bit drivers are not available, there is a user forum and nobody can answer you, I guess.

Cannot install windows XP on the Satellite Pro A200-1N2
Jin
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 - 1N2 PSAE3E and I don't want Vista on my laptop. I downgraded the bios to V5.30 but still cannot install windows xp and there is still no optin for SATA in the bios.
Can someone help me?
Thank you.
Hello
Did you install the SATA drivers first?
You need this driver to recognize the HARD drive! You must download the Intel Matrix Storage Manager. You should find it on the page of the Toshiba driver or the Intel Web site.
You must perform the installation of an external USB FDD drive using the F6 key during the installation of Win XP.
