Tecra M11 - 120 Mini Displayport to HDMI
I received my new laptop and bought a HDMI adapter mini display port.
On my television, I asked the connector, so I made to the map.
I also introduced the option in windows 7, I would like to ampilfy my TV, screen went black.
then I tried only to use television as the main screen, it worked only the solution of 800 x 640 pixels.
Can you please tell me, what am I doing wrong? Mini Displayport is expected to be able to perform the Full HD 1080 p. And I only wanted to 1360 x 786.
>.. .She works perfectly with my pc monitor (LG), but not with my TV (MEDION), it could be something wrong with her as well.
I agree with you. From this sentence we port the most important information about your laptop work properly. Why you don't have pic on your TV is another question.
Check the settings of your TV. Perhaps something to be activated it.
I posted a question, but it was published, and I think that I misunderstood.
So I'll try to ask better now...
I own a Tecra M11-103 it has both a vga port/bus (I'm not sure what to call it) and a mini displayport.
Everything worked fine until, in the middle of watching TV (laptop was connected to the TV via hdmi adapter mini displayport has) something was wrong, and since then the port is not identified... the vga port works fine but the mini displayport simply ceased to recognize each time a cable is plugged...
How can I reinstall the port itself?
I tried to reinstall the display driver, but it did not help, I thought maybe reinstalling the chipset utility, but I don't know what this means and what is the danger...
If my question is still not clear please help me go the more accurate information...
Please do not always start new threads on the same topic.
Please follow this first thread to avoid misunderstandings:
Support of the Helix Mini Displayport audio output?
Because it is not specifically mentioned on the Lenovo spec sheet, I was wondering if the owners of Helix have successfully connected to the AMD to HDMI with clear audio?
on the ThinkPad miniDP supports audio passes through.
I hung my Tecra M11 via one-adapter mini DisplayPort to HDMI on my TV, but it seems that the best he can do is 800 x 600! (WIndows XP)
How can I get 1920 x 1080 on this laptop?
Remove drivers Intel?
Add new drivers Intel?
Patch from Microsoft?
Is it possible to also output audio HD via this port?
Other laptops with ports HDMI can do everything above, why don't the M11?
So, you have all the rights HD TV?
I hope you can help me so solve my problem.
I want to connect my Tecra A11 with a Logilink mini Displayport 2 HDMI adapter for my Toshiba Regza LCD.
The video connection was quiet easy, but I'm not able to get the sound of the LCD screen.
Is there a setting shit I forgot to put?
I am frustrated, after 2 hours, only to find no way, especially as an IT Pro.
I found 2 Audio device in Win7 x 64 Device Manager but nothing in the Windows sound settings.
Audio Realtek... (external chip!)
Intel HD Audio, I think that what comes from the CPU/GPU (Core i)
I hope someone can helf solve me this problem.
Thank you very much

As far as I know to choose the HDMI output as the primary device.
You can do this in Control Panel-> sound-> playback.
If you n t all devices listed in this category, then you should try right click and must have activated options called; Show hidden devices and show disabled devices.
I hope this helps.
I really need your help,
Until today, that I used a mini adapter displayport to HDMI to connect my Tecra M11-103 to the TV while doing something today that happened and all of a sudden, I got video with no sound on the tv when I tried to unplug the device and plug it in again, he would show at all and would not recognize the tv in the future...
Now when I go to the windows Mobility Center when the cable is conneceted as usual, I predd on connect monitor, it behaves as if there is an external display, but on the display when trying to identify the motiors example I plugged under the option double screen.
so he recognizes my laptop as external screen and the pc monitor...
Way the easiest would be to display an image on the screen of what I see, but I can't do it here...
Anyway all of a sudden he tells me it's a vga connection, regardless of wethear or not theres even a cable connected...
I need to recover my back... mini display port where I can c what happened if its damaged or something please Ive spent hours trying to sort and nothing works... it isn't the TV for sure...
I run windows 7 pro 64 bit and I tried to restore the operating system...
Generally the connection to the TV shouldn't be very difficult.
Must connect two devices with a compatible cable, and then you have to go to the external video output using the FN + F5 key combination.
In addition, you can check the sound settings in the control panel-> sound-> the Read tab.
Here, you choose a digital output (hdmi) as default setting.
My other idea is that something could be wrong with the display driver.
Try to reinstall the graphics driver and check if it helps.
It s worth also set the BIOS to the default settings, I doubt that the BIOS could be the problem here, but it of certainly worth a try...
I recently bought a mini DisplayPort-> HDMI cable to use with my Tecra A11 Notebook. My intention was to run two external displays by running a cable VGA for my LG W2242 monitor and run the mini DP to HDMI Cable to my HP 2509 m Monitor. Unfortunately, I can't get my HP Monitor to recognize the video Signal from the mini DIsplayPort.
I downloaded the latest drivers for my laptop, but still no luck. Is there something special I should do to get the mini DisplayPort to send a video Signal?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Now to maybe stupid question, but where did you get the info that you can use two video output ports at the same time? What is this described in manuals s?
In front of me, I have Tecra A11 - 19 M and would like to know how to use it. as far as I know that a single external display can be used with this laptop.
a few quick questions,
1 should. which cable I expect to connect my laptop to tv HDMI preference?
I only have a mini port something and a SATA Sockets...
2. I would try to use my laptop for the fax however there is no modem can I buy one?
What exactly should I buy if yes? cause I don't have the phone jack to connect a telephone line...
Help a docking station? who is in the docking station?
Which Tecra M11 you exactly (M11 - xxx)?
I just want to check which video ports are available on your laptop.
Akuma is right. If you are looking for an external solution (USB or ExpressCard Modem), but Internet slution is also very good option.
Can I use a mini display HDMI Dual link adapter to connect 3 HDMI TV to a Mac Pro?
I never heard of a "Mini display Dual HDMI link.
There are double-ling mini displayport > DVI adopters as the double bond is required for DVI so a resolution higher than 1920 x 1200.
You can get the dispatchers who will share a single HDMI into two identical signals. You may be able to get one which divides into three signals. A power supply may be necessary for a this type separator
A dispatcher will give identical screens on each monitor.
What model Mac Pro?
What card graph (s) installed?
Want a different output on each monitor?
I have a Toshiba Tecra M11 - 11 M, which was blocked from password. I stripped the computer laptop and removed the BIOS during 10 min but the rest password battery still IE on the screen it still reads PASSWORD - *.
There is no way to get into the BIOS through a combination of keys.
There are no markings or letters on the motherboard whether ie: C35 - C36 or J12 - J13 out short which would in most cases to remove the password and allow access to the BIOS.
The technicians out there with any ideas would be much appreciated.
Some people asking for help with a password of bios are not thieves but crazy just forgetful.
As far as I know Toshiba uses several methods to remove BIOS password. On commercial machines like Tecra and Portege method is not the same as the Satellite models.
Remove battery BIOS works on desktop computers, but not on mobile machines.
Mobile machinery must have better protection due to the fact that can be stolen easily and it is very important against a misuse.
> Some people asking for help with a password of bios are not thieves but crazy just forgetful.
S OK, but you can't wait this BIOS password removal method will be described on the public forum. Contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and they will do it for you. All you have to do is show an invoice validates and prove that you are the real owner of this Tecra machine.
The mini displayport on the Satellite Pro S500 is also audio?
That display the port do you mean exactly?
Only display port that carries the audio is also the HDMI port.
For all other ports display as VGA, DVI, S-video, etc. you need an extra cable for audio.
I recently bought a HP Envy 32 monitor and hooked it up to my Mac mini using a mini DisplayPort (i.e. Thunderbolt) DisplayPort cable. The video works fine @ 2560 x 1440, but I have no sound. The output sound in references to system preferences "the selected device has no output settings" for the 32 envy. The sound works fine when I use a HDMI cable, but then, the resolution is limited to 1080 p. The Mac mini is a mid 2011 model, which is able to transfer the audio via DisplayPort, SAA as far as I know. Any suggestion on how to solve this problem?
Figured out how to get mini-displayport audio to work with the HP Monitor (I have a Macbook Air)
In addition to choosing the HP monitor HP ENVY 32 audio in the PREFERENCES SYSTEM-> SOUND->-> OUTPUT
An adjustment should also be made to the AUDIO and MIDI CONFIGURATION. You can either do a search for it in the finder, or it is in APPLICATIONS-> UTILITIES-> setting up Audio and MIDI
- Open the app
- In the left menu, select DisplayPort
- Format of... Replace with 48000,0 Hz 2-channel 24-bit wide
Once changed, you should be playing audio from your monitor.
I have a Tecra M11 which I want to connect to my onkyo AV 7:2 receiver so that I can listen to music through my stereo and watch movies on my TV.
The amplifier has a range of input - RCA, hdmi, vga ports, digital coaxial and optical jacks.
What happens to be the best way to connect the laptop to the receiver to get the best sound and picture quality? Is there an output high definition on the tecra?
For the moment I do not have my hhoked receiver to my TV so I could not test any video output of the laptop via the vga connection. I tried to connect the two using a jack plug 3.5 over phone from the analogue headphones on laptop phono amp output input but does not have all the sounds (I get sound out of headphone jack when I plug in headphones).
Tecra M11 is a portable laptop professional not multimedia.
As far as I know that the book contains only a monitor VGA (RGB) output port.
I didn t find info on s/pdif user manual and I guess that this laptop doesn't support digital audio output. I think that you can connect to the laptop to stereo by using the headphone jack.
This will help get an audio output to the stereo.
You should not use such cable: [Y Audio splitter | http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B00004Z5CP/ref=dp_image_0?ie=UTF8&n=172282&s=electronics]
I have problems with DisplayPort to HDMI on one of our Dell S2415H monitors.
We have a ThinkCentre E73 Tower. 8 GB of RAM, 120 GB SSD, Intel i5 4460S (memory)
Current configuration is VGA to VGA on a monitor S2415H monitor and the second is link by a DisplayPort adapter to HDMI cable on a S2415H
This one to be more precise:
The problem is that the screen is not detected by the DisplayPort, unless I unplug it and plug it in again. When I do that, everything works fine. As soon as the Lenovo is powered and turn it back on, the display is not detected which means you must unplug the display port at the back of the PC and then connect again
This happens when the VGA and DisplayPort are only in use and DisplayPort.
I did some research and checked the BIOS for DisplayPort parameters, but they are not everything. BIOS is the latest since last week. There seems to be a lot of problems of DisplayPort, but none is exactly how I feel.
Any help appreciated
Thank you all
Just to add a little more information to this case.
With the help of a good DP to HDMI adapter like this one and a 2 M HDMI cable solves the problem
The problem was due to the direct DP to HDMI cable. Do not know why.
Yesterday, I bought one of the brand new 14 Yoga from Best Buy, the one with the stylus, which is basically a 460 yoga.
Mini Displayport does not work. Hook up a monitor makes the system to hang for about 15 seconds, and no screen is detected.
All Windows and Lenovo software are up to date.
I use a Mini DP--> HDMI adapter, but I've never had problems with it on other computers.
I have ordered another cable converter and will try that tomorrow.
Lenovo is aware of this problem? Is there a solution?
