  • Tecra A7: Two unknown devices after installing the OS Win

    Hi all
Recently bought an A7 and was convinced all the preinstalled software Toshiba slowed things. Managed to fresh install windows, then use Toshiba Apps Installer to restore items that I really wanted to. Everything went well and the computer is about two times faster now. However, I have two following unknown devices:

    (1) device type: other devices
    Location: on Intel(r) 82801GBM (ICH7-M) LPC Interface Controller - 27 b 9
    Hardware ID: ACPI\IFX0102

    (2) device type: other devices
Places: On system compatible ACPI Microsoft
    Hardware ID: ACPI\TOS620A

I installed the latest Intel Chipset drivers and no luck. Perhaps one of them is the sound card (although I have installed the drivers as well) and one of them HARD drive Protection (that I have no intention of installing anyway).

If someone can confirm what they are it would be much appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Christin

    Hello

Installing drivers and utilities Toshiba should be made in the right order.
The chipset utility must be installed at the beginning and then the common modules.
You must use the form chipset the Toshiba site.

The Tecra M7 also supports the protection of the HARD drive. Normally you will find it at the last position under "Audio, video and game controllers" in Device Manager.

I found this document Toshiba how to identify an unknown device:
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB57014E000QR01.htm

    Maybe it helps.

  • Satellite A200-1The - peripheral unknown in Device Manager

I have the suite listed under question marks in my device manager:

    ? Multimedia controller
    ? Network controller
    ? Unknown device

I installed the sound and it works
I installed the network card and it works

    What are the above devices?

Stand by. Which operating system you are trying to configure?

Have you checked on the Toshiba download section if the installations Instructions document is available? If you follow this document you will install everything you need and everything will be OK.
Anyway, multimedia controller can be peripheral multicard reader, network controller is probably wireless card. I can't say what unknown device because I know not what drivers you have installed.

  • Portege A600 - peripheral unknown after Windows 7 installation

    All the g ' Day.

I've got an A600 (original Vista) I recently installed Windows 7 Professional 32-bit (reformat/reinstall). I was careful with the installation order. All right except the built-in camera does not work and there is managing an unknown controller PCI Communications Simple in the device. Without a doubt, the two are linked.

I tried to reload the drivers for the chipset without result. The unknown device is bus PCI 0, device 3, function 0. Is it possible to determine what this device is so I can find the missing driver?

    Hey Buddy,

Can you post the vendor and the device of this unknown device ID? It would be useful to identify it.
=> [How to identify an unknown device (e.g. LAN wireless module)? | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=78]

But the PCI communication controller could mean the webcam in your case I would try to install the driver for the webcam of the official website of Toshiba. After installation, you should be able to start the webcam software, and use the webcam.

Yes, I installed drivers for the fingerprint and Touchpad.

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)

The first should be fingerprint sensor and a second module BT. If you have installed BT stack installation activate BT (FN + F8) to complete the installation of the BT module.

  • Equium L10: Windows Vista Beta2 - peripheral unknown

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Equium L10 with Windows XP loaded as default but I installed VISTA Beta2 "public dissemination" on this issue and because it is only 1.5 GHz Celeron CPU with 512 MB of RAM, it worked fine, but I have a problem that I hope I can get help with users in this forum, and especially those who have the same or similar Equium model as I have?

Okay, after VISTA installation, I checked in the Device Manager and noticed "unknown device". After checking the info given in its properties, I've detailed below:

Geographical area: ACPI Microsoft compatible controller built-in
    Value: ACPI\ACPI 0001 * ACPI0002

When I reinstalled XP again, I went to the Manager of devices/batteries/Microsoft SMART Battery, the entry for Microsoft SMART Battery subsystem 'ACPI\ACPI0002\6 & 28CA 2229 & 0'.

Notice the "ACPI0002" info given for the "unknown device" in VISTA is the same info given for "Microsoft SMART Battery subsystem" in Windows XP. So I'm left wondering if the unknown device Vista is Microsoft SMART battery subsystem and if yes, why VISTA installed the driver for it?

Can someone help to find a driver for the "unknown device" in VISTA?

    Hello

The unknown device appears because the driver is missing.
Unfortunately, at this time you will not find any what Toshiba supported drivers for Beta 2 of Windows. It is a beta and not official version on the market.
I think that if this OS will be official, supported so you will also find the necessary drivers.

on another site was recommended to install the toshi driver "tc00474200k.exe".

    Hello

Would it be possible that the 3rd party software that you have installed to use the USB ports has tangled up the whole system?

The driver for the unknown device that appear in Device Manager can be identified very easily.

    I recommend this HowTo:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=78

You have the Vendor ID and the device ID and the use of these two IDS in pci database would help you to find the right driver.

By the way: If your Wlan and cam n t work, install the drivers matrix, you've already tried this?

  • Qosmio X 500-10T - peripheral unknown 64 bit of Windows 8: ACPI\VEN_TOS & DEV_6205

    Hello community,

I recently updated my Qosmio X 500-10T with 64-bit Windows 8 and there is an unknown device listed in the Device Manager with the hardware ID: ACPI\VEN_TOS & DEV_6205

I did some general research on the internet and it seems that it is to do with Bluetooth.
I downloaded the latest version of the software from the Broadcom website (the manufacturer of my Bluetooth device), but this has not solved the problem.

In Device Manager, when I try to update the driver by selecting the device in the list (as an automatic search does not find anything), but I can't find the correct Bluetooth module shown: Broadcom BCM2046, an error is listed in the device window indicating that it cannot be started.

Can I get the driver, preferably only (not with other software that is downloaded with the battery Bluetooth)?

    I appreciate your help.

    Hello

You must install the battery Toshiba BT.
As far as I know the 10 X 500 - t was equipped with a BT module and there BT stack.

    See this page:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/downloadDetail.jsp?soID=3461138&PF=true

You can download here the v of the 9.10.00T Bluetooth stack

    Hello

a week after the purchase, I decided to replace the OEM Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional.
(I am a student and I need the professional version). Everything works perfectly except the safety edge. With the Windows OEM, it worked fine, but still it no longer responds.

When I open the Device Manager there is an unknown device. (Details: ACPI\TOS6205) I don't know what it is.

I hope I explained my problem properly. English is not my mother tongue...

    Thank you

    Hello

With edge, you mean the buttons illuminated on your laptop, right?
Well for these buttons, you need to install Toshiba Value Package added that you can download from the Toshiba driver download page. This package contains drivers for the illuminated buttons, FN keys, etc. then you need to install it:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

ACPI\TOS6205 must be Bluetooth device then install the software portal BT BT:
