Tecra R10 - 10J - 3 G Broadband F3507G does not

I have a new toshiba Tecra R10 - 10J
I went down to windows XP

Even though the documentation says nothing, I found the thin slot; (it's behind the battery) I put my sim card inside (this sim card works in a usb key with my 3G provider).

In Device Manager, the toshiba F3507G broadband shows 3 times:
in network cards
in the com ports
in modem

But when I run the wireless toshiba (version 5) Manager, nothing is known.
He doesn't seem to see the slot and the device (the shortcut key is also well-positioned to plug brodband)

I've updated the drivers and firmware from the toshiba website: still the same problem.
I looked in the Bios: nothing is displayed regarding the brodband modem.

I don't know what else to do?

Thanks for your help

> But when I run the wireless toshiba (version 5) Manager, nothing is known.
Please post the error here.
Say the WM? "No modem found"? or "Radio OFF"?

BTW, did you also install the Toshiba value added package?
Also, the RF power control utility must be installed.

It is essential to get the 3G correctly to work.

> I looked Bios: nothing is displayed regarding the brodband modem.
It is correct.
There is no entry in the Bios about 3G.

  • Tecra R10 - 10J: BIOS update abandoned "this computer is not supported.

    Hello

    My laptop is a Tecra R10 - 10J PartNumber PTRB1E-00D002FR, 1.40 BIOS version 11/13/2008.

I recently bought and installed two modules of 4 GB RAM (8 GB). Enter the BIOS setup, I found 8 GB. Windows 7 64 bit also detects the 8 GB, but uses only 3.80! MemTest and diagnosis of CPU - Z are good for all of the 8 GB. I went from RAM modules from one location to another, but nothing has changed. If I replace a module of 4GB by a 2 GB memory, Windows 7 uses 5.80 is going well. Same result as any module of memory of 4 GB or slot I use.

I suppose that problem comes from the BIOS. The 1.40 version does not support memory mapped IO functionality.

So I followed the instructions on "http://fr.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/?download_drivers_bios.jsp?" to find the last good package to update BIOS for Tecra R10 - 10J. I downloaded and ran the BIOS310?. exe, but received the error message "this computer is not supported"?

Can someone tell me how to upgrade my BIOS or did someone has a better idea to activate the full 8 GB of RAM support?

    Thank you for all!

    Hello

You must install the VAP (value added package) or if this package is already installed, you must reinstall/upgrade to update it.

Disable the Antivirus software and disable things of security such as firewalls etc.

    Hope that you're lucky...

  • Tecra R10 - 10J - BSOD if I use WiFi

I have a new Tecra R10 - 10J. I installed Windows XP directly with the recovery disc, so I never used Vista.

At the beginning I had problems getting 3 G to work, it is now OK. But I have another question unresolved: Blue notebooks accidents or restart randomly when I'm connected via wifi.

I did three things to run:
-upgrade to the new version of BIOS, which is: 1.50
-updated the last driver WiFi found on the website of intel: Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN driver 12.4.3.9 version
-J' have also disabled in Device Manager the ability for the system to border/shock the wifi device (I found these tips on some forums because of driver Intel WiFi Link 5100 is not not reliable).

It seems to me that theses stocks have made things better. Blue screen are less frequent but they still happen. I also thought, there may be a conflict with the 3G device, so I have alwals turn off 3G using the shortcut when I'm on wifi. However, it crashes from time to time.

I'm beginning to wonder if there may be a hardware problem?

    Thanks for help.

    Hello

You also update the driver 3G or only the WiFi driver? I think you should try to update this driver too.
Check the Toshiba site for an update!

And can you please send the exact code of BSOD? This is very useful to identify what is the cause. In addition, you can search on the Microsoft KB for this code.

    I hope I could help a bit.

  • Tecra R10 - 10J - card reader does nothing

    Hello world

I have a tecra R10 - 10 days with a Windows 7 32 bit installed. I installed the latest driver for the card reader (ricoh driver for Windows 7 32 bit). In my admin panel, it says that the SD reader is correctly installed.

When I insert an SD (standard SD or SDHC) card it does nothing. I mean it doesn 't create a new icon in the control panel of my computer. I checked the battery management. The controller card is 'activated '. I also have the latest bios for TECRA R-10 10J.

    Any help?

    Hello

Which cards you are trying to insert? I have good experiences with SanDisk SD and SDHC cards. For my camera, I use San Disk Extreme III SDHC card. A high quality map which s and never had any problems with it.

Also have you checked Windows Disk Manager? Maybe the card appears in the list but not also formatted.

I downloaded the bios, but the pc has no floppy, I cooked up a cd bootable like this

When I start the pc, F2, press c to boot from the CD-ROM, I get in a dos environment. I went to the drive Z, "dir" and see the bios.exe that I've burned to cd. To run it I type bios.exe and continue to be 'command unrecognized file name' when I type dir *.exe, he does not see the file either.

    Hello

Your described method does not apply to Toshiba laptops.
Each computer laptop manufacturers supports various BIOS update procedures

    Toshiba on this page we:
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/support/JSP/downloadDetail.jsp?soID=356848&PF=true
Here you can download the latest version of the BIOS for Tecra 8100

The 4810.25 package must be unpacked everything first.
Then you should check the files available.
There is a readme.txt file that describes how to update BIOS using the ISO to CD.

    I hope I could help

  • Tecra Z50 - A - Intel Rapid Storage Technology does not

    Dear Sir

We bought a lot of laptops Toshiba Tecra Z50 - A with a hybrid HDD (with SSD cache).

    The exact model:
    TECRA Z50 - A
    PT544E-00D01TBT

We staged and repartition laptops via SCCM.
However, when you install all the drivers and the Intel Rapid Storage Technology software, I see that only rge WHAT HDD is used and no partition SSD with the Intel RST.

    How we enable this?
The problem is that the performance is incredibly bad.
Laptops are very slow, even if the specifications are good:
    CPU i5-4200U
    8 GB RAM
    Windows 7 x 64

No idea how to turn this Intel RST?
In the BIOS I find no option for RAID, as must be enabled for the RST to work.

    Thank you

To be honest I n don't know what you mean exactly the RAID mode. There is no RAID mode.
The laptop was equipped with a 500 GB SATA HDD HYBRID.

The part of the HARD drive is used for writing, the SSD part for the reading of the data.
The performance of SSHD can be placed between a HDD and SSD, but it s significantly slower than an SSD.

If you have already installed the - Intel Rapid Storage Manager driver, then the service should work

In the case where it does not run in the background, try to install the latest Intel RST page of Intel driver.

  • Tecra 8000: monitor and the HARD disk does not work - does not start

I have a laptop Toshiba Tecra 8000 given to me the year last by my uncle. I live in England, but it is and bought the PC in Italy. I do not know if this causes complications, but I thought it may be useful.

Since I got it it occasionally did not display any image of all system startup, so if I have given some time and restarted it would start working again. Happening of bagan more frequently and now I can't make it work. I have conections and found that everything was in place. Then he doesn't seem to be turning on, however when I replaced the front LED cable seems to be turning on and although I couldn't hear much the CPU was luminous heat. I opened the drive and it gave once more, succeeded him and he still wouldn't start. I had purchased and replaced the screws on the heatsink around this area but I did not handle it with many other things.

So now, I have a monitor that does not work and a gard drive that won't start... Any ideas?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Could be either the card mother, CPU or ram. The processor when it goes bad or is not locked in place (have had this before, install the CPU but forgot to turn the lock, so he cannot move) the computer will act as its startup, don't give any error and stay on a black screen. Verify that the processor is locked in place. Then remove the ram and try a stick of RAM that runs on another computer. If you try the RAM and the processor do not always start, then chances are your motherboard is dead and must be replaced. Hope this helps and that solve you the problem.

  • Tecra M7 DVD: CD/DVD RAM drive does not work since the installation of Vista

I did a clean install on my new Vista Ready M7. He had XP tablet in a first time, and the DVD player worked fine. In fact I used to install Vista (Home Premium).

Now it doesn't work at all. It runs but does not read. Device Manager tells me impossible to start the device. Tried to update driver and he told me that he has the most uptodate pilot.

Downloaded all the drivers from the Download Center of Tosh for upgrade of Vista of M7 (who got bluetooth, rotation etc. function properly the screen). But none of the downloads seems to be a driver for the DVD - Ram drive. He cannot find a driver anywhere else (including the Panasonic site).
    DVD player is Mat * a DVD - RAM UJ - 841 s

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

On the Toshiba driver page, you can find the DLA for Tecra m7.
Have you tried to install the XP driver DVD-RAM since the Toshiba page on the Vista operating system?

    Maybe it'll market

But listening the CD/DVD drive uses the current Microsoft drivers that are included in Vista or XP.
This is why an additional driver should not be necessary!

    An additional proposal;
Remove the drive from the Device Manager CD/DVD and restart the laptop.
After restarting again the OS should reinstall the drive and renew the software.

    Another tip:
    -Launch the registry
    -Choose the registry key;
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
-In the right pane, click UpperFilters and LowerFilters, and then click on remove.
    -Reboot the laptop

  • Tecra M4: EasyGuard advanced instant security - alarm does not sound

    Hello
    Instant EasyGuard Security Advanced
I followed the instructions to the "request of Iris' to support Toshiba, but the alarm will not sound.
I know that the motion detectors work because if I shake the phone enough, the hard drive protection popup will be displayed.

I even confirmed that the wav file that is listed in the registry exists.
Does anyone have ideas, what I can check next?
I already reinstalled all the toshiba utilities in the hope that could fix it.

    Hello

I put t know which unit you have (European or US model) but ask Iris is written for portable Setup US and the preinstalled image is not the same as on European models.

I checked the Tecra M4 user manuals and it is not listed as this device is equipped with advanced instant security. You see using indicated such CrossMenu about US page?

Either way, you make a small mistake. In your ad, you have written two different things. Please check HDD protection tool settings and you will see that there is no option for an alarm. What you're saying is a tool separately, but I'm not sure that it is a part of the package of software for your device.

  • Satellite A500 - modem broadband 3G does not connect to internet

    Hello

    Can someone please help
I am from Ireland and have a modem broadband three where you plug in the USB, Broadband Mobile it is called.

I downloaded the software ok but I can not connect to the internet, always says failed to connect, the modem worked well on another laptop.

I am using windows 7 and my laptop is a Toshiba Satellite A500.

Three told me to contact Toshiba as it is a problem with the laptop... What would be this,

    Be greatfull for help...

    Nigel

    Hello

You said that the modem worked fine in another laptop. But the other laptop uses the Windows 7 operating system?

I doubt s a cell phone number since you are using an external modem has nothing to do with the laptop.
Maybe you have installed some kind of security software (firewall, etc.) which prevents the software of modem connection of the ISP (internet service provider).

    Please check the firewall settings!

  • Tecra A2: Touchpad utility and Fn + F9 does not work

    Hello

I use a Tecra A2. I downloaded the touchpad utility power of http://support.toshiba-tro.de/tools/Tecra/ta2/win-xp/tpad-on-off-util/. It was not clear where he himself had installed initially (there was nothing on the start menu and no application during installation). However I entually found in C:\Program Files\TOSHIBA\TouchED, as an exe called hit. It seems nothing when I run it. He certainly disable the touchpad. Fn + F9 has also no effect.

How can I disable the touchpad?

    Thank you

    Hello

I guess that these options don't work due to the improper installation.
I checked the driver Toshiba page and it seems you have to install both applications.
First of all, you need to install the Touchpad driver, then turn the Touchpad on/off utility.
This utility should allow you to use the FN + F9 key combination.

But first, you must remove the old driver and application to clean the registry.

  • Tecra A3 - 106 SD/MS Card Reader does not work

    Hello guys,.

I have a Tecra A3-106, my card reader began to read the cards in these days... (I recently formatted my system using the recovery dvd) when I put my memory stick in the drive, I can see the icon of the card on my computer, but when I try to access the content, I get an error saying "card needs to be formatted" and I can't do anything... When I insert another SD card, the reader doesn't even... (As it is used to access these media successfully before)

I tried to uninstall the device and then by installing automatically, but without success, tried to download the SD Secure Module, but when I try to install it, I get an error message saying "SD Secure Module.msi can be found" or something like that...

Long story short, I can't use my card reader and I also checked these cards on a different system and they are readable.

What could be? Troubleshooting ideas are highly appreciated.

    Best regards
    Onur.

    Hi Onur

It is certainly not easy to tell what the problem is here. In my opinion it has not much to do. If the crack doesn't work correctly after the installation of recovery image, it may be a hardware problem. Material recovery image installation is configured on the right track and install wrong driver is definitely excluded.

Small jets, you can do is to test it with SD cards different (different manufacturers and also a different capacity.) I put t know what is the maximum capacity of decision-making support for SD card, but it is possible that the card will be unreadable if you use 2 or more GB SD cards.
