  Before considering the upgrade to Windows 7, there are a lot of things to consider.

  To your original problem, you can try this scan:

  The only problem is that it do not work if you have serious problems of file system.

  That's when you need Installion repair to fix things with a Microsoft DVD as above or replace the files, but you still need this DVD. Catch 22!

  Unfortunately, it does seem that the divers from 32-bit (no matter if it s Vista or XP) are available on the European driver Toshiba page.

  Welcome to the forums! I can't wait to start your experience here with a negative, but the game you order from HP is the same as the recovery set, you can burn using Recovery Manager on your computer. HP is not the finish plain Vista install DVD for class of consumer machines.

  The sales representative may have thought class machines business, which I guess still has this option as they did on XP machines.

  The easy way to upgrade is to use the Vista Business 64 recovery disks. Like you bought Vista Business 32 Microsoft license is also valid for Vista Business 64. Unfortunately Lenovo support don't honor the Microsoft licensing system and refuse to embark a recovery disc Vista 64 for you if your system came with Vista 32.

  But if you google on thinkpad recovery disks, you'll find U.S. resellers of spare parts online who are willing to sell you the Vista Business 64 recovery discs you need.

  All your drivers/program installers are in C:\SwSetup on your hard drive. Copy it to a dvd for safety before changing anything. Most of the drivers from HP are 32/64 bit compatible. (Check some of the descriptons of driver in the links above, most say 32/64-bit).

  The links above I posted just in case one of them was actually your model, although the pilots would probably work.

  BTW, if you do not so_make your recovery set before installing the new operating system or modify the partitions of hard drive somehow:

  The laptop has ATI HD3470 Hybrid Crossfire display system. I'm trying to install the driver in Vista Ultimate, but it does not work. The ATI Catalyst control cannot install and ATI driver file is empty. Shows Device Manager still there are two graphics card with «!» I tried so many ways. Install framework 3.5, pilot of the AMD 7 series, last version of the ATI driver, driver of the same other computer brand who says that worked.

  Have you tried to install the driver to display on the Toshiba site? You can find it here:

  Before you try to install a new display driver, you must remove any old version in Add/Remove programs. Then, restart the laptop and use CCleaner to clean the system. Restart again and then install the new version.

  You have the same problem with the factory settings? In the worst case, you must reinstall Windows using Toshiba recovery disc.
