  Well it's certainly a surprise that the driver that you require for the ethernet controller is Atheros and I can find no reference to this HP.

  However, try the following.

  Download the 64-bit inf file for AR8151 on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  It is a compressed file, so if you need an extraction utility, download and install 7 - Zip from the Installer x 64 64-bit .msi on the link below.

  http://www.7-zip.org/

  With 7 - Zip installed, right click the file zipped you download, select Extract 7 - Zip, select the files and then click Ok.

  Cut and paste this folder newly extracted to your desktop for convenience.

  Now open the Device Manager, open network adapters, right-click on ethernet controller and select "Update Driver Software".  Choose "Browse my computer for driver software" then click Browse and navigate to the folder on your desktop and click Next.

  This installs Ok?

  Well, I doubt it is a Toshiba related issue and you should contact this PCMCIA card making.

  What you can do is to check the Device Manager if there are yellow exclamations points. Usually, the PCMCIA card must be properly and then you will find WLAN networks in range.

  I have a new S11 with Win7, 64-bit and a disc Toshiba StorE art. The S11 will not see the drive, but my other machines running XP and Vista have no problem to recognize.

  Any ideas on how to access the drive with the S11? Input much appreciated!

  I recommend you to follow:
  -install the OS using the Toshiba recovery disc or HARD drive recovery procedure
  -Install all updates from Microsoft
  -reconnect the HARD drive

  Must work on Win7 32/64 bits.

  You are using Windows XP Home SP2 or SP3 edition? Please use WXP SP3 for installation of Windows XP Home edition.

  Mobile Intel QM57 chipset on your Tecra could be and I think that the correct driver AHCI, you can find HERE.

  The video card is not windows vista or windows 7 capable.

  I can give you the link for a driver that should allow you to change the resolution of your screen and select the graphics acceleration.

  What you have not and will never have is Aero, unless you purchase a Windows 7 capable PCIe compatible video card with the model.

  So, this gives a try if you want.  You must install it via the back door...

  2. you will get an error stating in substance that the operating system is not supported.

  3. close the error dialog window.

  4. go to the Device Manager and in the section graphics cards, click on your adapter VGA Standard.

  Click the driver tab.

  Click on set to update driver.

  Select the 'Browse my computer for the software' and navigate to the driver installation folder that was created when you ran the file.

  This file is located in C:\SWSetup\sp34749.

  Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and the driver should install.

  Reboot and you should have a pretty decent screen now, just no Aero.

  If you are not satisfied with my improvisation, you can get some good cheap used W7 capable video cards on eBay that will work very well with your dc7100 if you want anything fancy.  I have a few recommendations.

  Otherwise, proceed again with a Radeon HD4350, that should work perfectly for this model.

• Universal Serial Bus Controller - not installed

  Recently, my hard drive started to fail on my HPE - 580t.  I moved my documents/pictures/etc on an external hard drive using a USB 3.0 connection.

  Replaced with a new Western Digital Black 3 TB hard drive and did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

  Now, the computer does not recognize the external hard drive with USB 3.0 connection.

  Device Manager / other devices - show controller Serial Bus universal with a yellow sign - said "the rivers of this device are not installed.  (Code 28)

  When I select Update Driver is unsuccessful.

  Software (if any) and the drivers of the first chipset? If this is not the case, the rest of the drivers will not install. How to download and install drivers in the correct order

  Start with the Dell system software and the chipset drivers and follow the list.

  I 5530th DESIRE which will not install the driver on a gateway computer that has been upgraded to Windows 7 32 bit Vista. I applied the patch to the tha, but it almost always fails at the end, and then cancel the whole installation. There is no error message or the displayed codes. Need a boost in a certain direction.

• Why USB-6501 does not install on Win7?

  We are in a process of migration of the old XP machine test system to the new system of Win7. All but got properly installed USB-6501. After you install LabView / DAQmx and connection USB-6501 windows could not find the drivers for this device (poster the exclamation sign on the icon of the device in devices and printers). MAX 4.7.4 detects either of the device. I looked for similar scenarios on the Forum OR and abroad and tried the solutions proposed. Nothing worked for me. I know the issue isn't with the USB-6501 material because it is functional on the old system. 4.7.4 MAXLE Win7 system detects a very well (GPIB-USB-HS) different USB device, but not for USB-6501.

  I hope someone can help us identify the problem that we have struggled with for some time. Here are the differences between shipments of software on two systems:

  Old system:

  OS - XP SP3

  LabView - 7.0

  DAQmx - 8.0

  VISA - 4.4.1

  MAX - 4.5 (detects the GPIB-USB-HS and USB-6501.) Status on 6501 LIGHT flashes continuously)

  New system:

  OS - Win 7 Enterprise

  LabView - 7.0

  DAQmx - 9.2.2

  VISA - 5.0.3

  MAX - 4.7.4 (detects only GPIB-USB-HS. Status on 6501 LIGHT flashes 3 times and then road)

  The device has been appear in Manager devices, but with the yellow exclamation mark for no drivers found/expenses. Update drivers on the property page does not help.

  So yesterday I spent most of the day removing all facilities OR according to the instructions, I found in this forum. Then I reinstalled the software OR in the order following, restarting after each installed:

  (1) LabView 7.0

  (2) DAQ 8.0.1

  (3) NEITHER-488. 2 (v2.30)

  (4) connected USB-6501 first. The installation of the device has gone well and is now detected to the MAX!

  (5) connected GPIB-USB-HS. Scanned for changes on the hardware, peripheral GPIB presents itself to the MAX, but with a weird name announcement its INF file on his behalf. See the screenshots below:

  The strange thing is that this GPIB device was fully functional on my previous installation (see attachment max_report_3-23 - 11.pdf), now reinstall after its unusable (see attached max_report_3-24 - 11.pdf). Looking for GPIB instruments to help Max returns no result, but if I reconnect GPIB-USB-HS to the old system of PC all instruments are detected (for instrument scan error message see attached MAX after reinstall.jpg).

  That my new problem is not related to USB-6501, maybe I should open a new forum thread.
