Teeny little noise

I have a laptop HP620 PC (Energy Star). I'm in Windows 8. I think remember me that the thing came with 7 installed. I know that the speakers are things little bitty. Wouldd think when their crank at 100% the noise would be, if not strong, at least audible. Not the case. This is true of the Word as well as music or other sounds coming out of the speakers. It is the nature of the beast? Or is it possible to jack the volume?

You can check the operation of the equipment by:

I bought the hp Pavilion 15-n013 Tx 2 days and now I can hear a little amount of sound comes from the right side of my laptop (where dvd player is placed), I wonder if this is normal? and if it comes to the HARD drive, AFAIK on SATA drives make noise until its use heavy overload. pleaese help.

    Hi prashant_18,

I saw your post about the noise in the notebook. I pulled upward the manual and the only thing that could make that noise is your HARD disk. It is not an SSD you can hear some noises like disks inside rotation. However, if it gets worse then you have cause for concern.

  • Little noises between almost every Cup

There are separate and unwanted audio short pieces between most of my cuts on my current project, how can I get rid of them and why are they here?

What type of audio do you mean? Is it clicks, real audio, noise, like the music, voice, etc.? Have you played the clips separately to ensure that the audio is not associated with the clip? What are the specifications of the clips? The audio is there when you add a transition? What version of iMovie and Mac OS are you running? As you can see on my questions more information is needed to find a solution.

Check your HARD disk with a GOOD monitoring tool. Many are available on the internet. Google for SMART HDD.
There are a few indicators for a dead hard drive. It is raw read errors. If the tool shows that a lot of first read errors need you to replace.

    HP g series

    Hello

One thing can help low-volume is the following.

Do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "playback devices".  Left click the device once to highlight default (it is usually 'speakers & headphones') and then click the properties button.  Click the enhancements tab and put a check mark in the box "Loudness equalization.  Click on apply to save the changes and then click OK in all other windows and see if allowed at all.

  • Satellite L850 - weird noise problem (not events)

    Hello

I have a weird problem with my laptop. Since a few days, my laptop started to make a little noise from the base of the laptop.
I care because during the day I don't even notice, but now (it's 05:00)
Clearly, I hear a noise coming from the base.

It has not happened before and I don't know what could be, because the strangest thing is that, according to Toshiba Health Monitor, fan is 0% (because I'm on mode eco and do nothing to do) and the CPU is at 48th. As you can imagine, my laptop is far from heating.

Then, where this noise could come from?
Now, I know that this isn't the ventilation openings, but something inside the laptop (maybe HARD drive?)

And I'm confident in the vents because the vents start to operate when I load a movie or game, and when start knocking noise that I do not speak of persists.

It's not embarrassing, because I have to be in complete silence to hear it. As I said, I don't notice the noise when it is diurnal, and I could live with it, but not knowing this noise source makes me a bit paranoid. I bought a month ago, so I don't think that I have to clean.

    Thank you.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to tell where the noise is coming so if you want to solve this problem I think you should bring to the nearest post of Toshiba and the guy there it should check. Guarantee is valid if repairs must be free.

Can you tell us what part of your laptop is this noise?

  • Satellite C855 - strange noise when try to watch/listen to something

I bought this laptop around a month ago. When I tried to watch or listen to something, which sizzles a little noise came a few seconds and disappeared.

I didn't know it was important. But now, it happens every day and a lot of times when I listen or watch something. She buzzes, sizzle for a few seconds and it's really annoying.
    What could be the problem?

    Please help me...

Have you tested with headphones or external speakers? The same thing happens again and again?

  • Noise when plugged in AC

When the power adapter is plugged in, I hear a strange noise.

    Is this normal?

He stopped immediately if I unplugged the AC!

Never heard when you use only the battery.

    Thank you

    Hi val

AFAIK, it is possible that there is little noise but is not strong. If this strange noise is loud in my opinion, it may be the beginning of the end. This adapter is not cheap and if your device has a valid guarantee you should contact the Service partner and change it.

  • Satellite L755-144 - noise HARD drive?

A 1-day-old Satellite L755-144 was a constant humming noise and vibration on the front half of the body of the laptop. I thought it could be the fan, but it still happens when the Toshiba PC Health Monitor says the fan is at 0%, and when the computer is idle (without windows).

How much noise this machine must be idle (I find it annoying)?

    Hey Buddy,

Are you sure the noise is coming from the HARD drive? You can test it if you remove the HARD drive and start your laptop without one.

Generally the HARD drive always creates a little noise because to HARD disk platters turning and cause noise. Also the head makes this is data is read or write.

So some noise is normal but no one can tell you if everything is ok with your laptop or not. It s just a user to user forum where you can talk with normal people like you and me. If you are not sure and you want an official answer contact an authorized service provider and ask for help.

By the way: on my Toshiba laptop I can hear the HARD drive if I put my ears on the case.

  • Monitor cowards with a shaking noise

I bought a Macbook Pro 13 "retina early 2015 version (I'm still under warranty). I recently took my Macbook and noticed a loud commotion from the internal components. It was very strange that the computer has never been ignored and pretty much lives on my desk. I took the computer in the local store for the genius bar Apple take a look. Genius is far from being what they were, told me he has no spare room in the base of my laptop where all components. The source of the noise actually came from the portion of the screen of my laptop. Apparently the LCD is mounted in the housing of the display, and the so-called mine broke. I asked the monitor to be fixed because this computer is still under warranty. I was told that my case would be forwarded to the 'genius' some fantasy land located at Apple. A few days later I was told that this issue has been seen in very rare cases, and that I should not worry about damage. It is totally unacceptable that we know that shaking electronics can't break now but could certainly cause problems in the future as failure on the screen, when I'm probably out of warranty. I asked to speak with the manager who told me to take the computer back to the Apple store so he could watch personally. After back, the Manager pressed on the upper left side of the screen and tilted back the computer which reduces noise agitation. Then he preceded to tell me that the screen was in the specifications, but he would pass on my case again to the "genius". With the same results, I was told that would not be fixed under my warranty. The Manager then suggested that I buy the plan applecare for $250. I can't believe the nerve that apple has they will not solve the problem that must of course be under warranty and then suggest I have buy it there for what extended warranty plan * and giggles so they can tell me the same thing. I've never had a laptop with this problem do not even laptops of $300 that I bought an Apple for great products out there and pride but seriously have been disappointed. I will never buy another Apple product after this experience. The computer should not tremble under any circumstances. This computer costs $1500 and they used here still return product.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I try to bring a little noise on this topic if someone else knows it please reply if we meet they will have to address this problem.

    Hey there LKA1988,

Just to make you feel a little better the situation, I have two Mackbook Pro early 2015 that do the same thing. I noticed by accident one day, picking up my MBP. Did some research and found that other people have the same problems. Tested on my gf MBPr (bought on the same day as mine) and it makes the same noise. I confess that bothers me a little, but also feel better that mine is not the only one. I love my MBPr more than all other devices I've ever owned and know that these devices are very strong, judging by how I see others treat their MBP. I have just buy the AppleCare and live with the assurance that if it causes a problem, he will fix it in the title of the extended warranty. TBH, I prefer to live with the noise that many have compared to them have disassemble my new laptop.

    Good luck!

  • Power supply for Satellite A200-12 x makes noise quiet

    Hello everyone:

I have a Satellite A200-12 x. My PSU makes a little noise. The noise is not loud, but it is audible only when it is connected and that work is actually done with the laptop.

As I say, is not a big noise, a noise "fry eggs" is quiet. If anyone else noticed it? Should I get toshiba to replace it with a new one?

    Thanks in advance,

    Concerning

    Manual

    Hello

Don t worry, that's not a big deal. Given that your ca gives a lot of power to your machine (man, think, you have a powerful A200 with very strong components-> CPU, VGA, RAM) and such a system needs a lot of power.

Because of this high consumption, capacitors and transistors in these adapters are also strong.
You have to imagine that don't not a single capacitor is here, no, there are hundreds and a few other components that need to regulate the power of the wall to your machine.

I have a Qosmio G30 and you wouldn believe what sound makes its power adapter. It sounds like "Brrrrmmmmmmmmmmmm", as a small UPS (battery for desktop stand-alone which prevents the loss of data in case of power failure...)

So, I suggest you accept, because all the AC´s of each new machine will make that noise.

    Welcome them

    Hi @2JANI ,.

Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A place where you can find solutions for your problems with the help of the community!

I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook and noisy fans.

I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You could restore the BIOS withthis document by selecting the reload the default BIOS settings. I recommend not updating the BIOS because sometimes this causes noisy fans.

    I hope this helps.

There is no noise like that before when I installed el capitan, there is a power plug box noise like a fan is now working correct a little noise but is not good please explain to me what can be?

Does make the noise when the computer runs only on battery?

Does make the noise when the computer is plugged into the wall outlet?

aren't - that you plugged into a power strip?

have you tried a different wall jack?

have you tried without the power strip?

a particular action makes noise disappear or become more evident?

  • Calculation of signal to noise ratio

    Hello.

I was wondering if it was possible to calculate the SNR of a signal with LabView? I use a DAQ hardware and an accelometer to measure a force.

Is that being said, possible to calculate SNR by looking at the graph of spectrum or vague? When there is no g on the accelerometer, there is a signal with a little noise... and I can see that in the spectrum of frequecny all the way to the cut-off frequency. What is the background noise?

    I'd appreciate any help!

    Thank you!!

    Abraham_E,

Thanks for the data.  Curiously, the data do not seem to care what language you were using when you got it.

The first data column appears as timing information.  The dt in who is 0.0005, which corresponds to a frequency of 2 kHz.  You said 400 Hz in one of your messages.  The discussion at the point 2 below corresponds to a frequency of 2 kHz sampling.

    1. you are right that SINAD is not very useful. SINAD assumes that all the power of the signal is the dominant frequency component that is not quite true for ECG.

    2. the size of the FFT of the signal shows the dominant signals at 50 and 100 Hz which is likely to be able to line with frequency. Al here also erase lines 200 and 250 Hz. You certainly do not want to calculate SNR under the assumption that the desired signal is 50 Hz.  The SINAD VI calculates the fundamental frequency than 49,97 Hz.

    3. If you don't know the 50 Hz and harmonic components, there is no obvious lines in the spectrum remaining. I interpret this means you have the significant variation of heart rate data.  This means that the heart rate is modulated in frequency. Frequency modulation broadens the spectrum.

    4. because there is not predominant in the spectrum, it is unlikely that frequency domain techniques will be worth any in the determination of the SNR.

So, what can you do? Looking at the data graphic, I think a peak signal to noise power ratio could be significant. There are little noise, even at spikes, if it has a few problems too.  I have divided the data set in 1 second segments. For heart rate in these data, each segment contains one or two beats.  In each segment, I found the maximum and minimum values.  I set the value from Ridge to Ridge for the segment of the difference. I also calculated the RMS value for the entire segment. Then the SNR is the signal from Ridge to Ridge divided by the RMS value. It is probably more accurate to use the RMS value of the QRS and exclude parts QRS of the RMS of noise, but to do both is algorithmically and by the much more difficult calculation. It would be also better force segments contain exactly one beat of each. Again, it is much more complicated.  I then calculated the average of the SNR segment values and call it mean SNR.

As I pointed out, there are some problems with the definition (peak to peak/RMS).  If you just want to compare signals within your lab to see which improves things, this should be good.  If you want to publish data and compare to other published results, you have to find how they define and measure SNR.

In the attached VI I read the file once and recorded values in an array as a default value. Then I removed the file played screws and just worked with the data. To try this with other data simply insert read VI file in the appropriate place.
