Telnet a asa of a lan2lan
Hi, I have a lan2lan between my asa 5510 8.3 worm and another device, see the attached diagram.
The other side I would achieve all of my local network via telnet from their PC - A. They can actually reach the devices inside the local network for example 192.168.1.1 et.2 but NOT le.10 it is the SAA itself. Note that I added the line
Telnet 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 outside
but nothing.
I wonder whether it was a security feature or if I'm doing something wrong.
Thank you
In fact, must be added the following:
Telnet 192.168.2.0 255.255.255.0 inside
as well as the "management of access to the Interior.
Hope that helps.

Remote VPN client and Telnet to ASA
Hi guys
I have an ASA connected to the Cisco 2821 router firewall.
I have the router ADSL and lease line connected.
All my traffic for web ports etc. of ADSL ftp and smtp pop3, telnet etc is going to rental online.
My questions as follows:
I am unable to telnet to ASA outside Interface although its configuered.
Unable to connect my remote VPN Client, there is no package debug crypto isakmp, I know that I have a nat that is my before router device my asa, I owe not nat port 4500 and esp more there, but how his confusion.
I'm ataching configuration.
Concerning
It looks like a config issue. Possibly need debug output "debug crypto isa 127".
You may need remove the command «LOCAL authority-server-group»
NAT-traversal is enabled by default on the ASA 8.x version. So you don't have to worry about NAT device in the middle.

Telnet for asa by vpn session, you need to add this statement.

In this same connection see split tunnel vs local Allow only lan access, you can learn the differences and you will better understand your configuration asa related to ra vpn.

Windows - Internet access, no split Tunnel L2TP VPN Clients does not
Greetings!
I have four ASA 5505 that I configured with 4 site to site VPN tunnels (works perfectly) to connect to our company facilities 4. The ASA is also configured with remote access L2TP/IPsec so that a specific group of users of portable computers can connect to and access to all facilities. It also works very well except for one important exception - my split tunnel setting doesn't seem to work, because I can't connect to the Internet outside the VPN resources.
I accept the inherent risk of allowing tunnels to split from a security point of view since I take the necessary steps to secure the systems used for remote access. I would appreciate any feedback on how to get the job of split tunnel.
Here is the configuration:

Assign the virtual sensor in the MODE SINGLE ASA5510-AIP10SP-K9
Hello
I install asa 2 ASA5510-AIP10SP-K9 in standby mode active failover. I know how to assign virtual devices to the contexts of the ASA in multiple mode (active/active failover). But I want it to be done in simple mode (active/standby failover). Any idea will be welcomed.
OK, now I understand what you need.
Most users need only the single default «vs0» virtual sensor
To get traffic from the ASA to send to the SSM for follow-up here are the basic steps:
(The assumption is that you have already previously connected and changed the password and went through the steps in "setup" to set the IP address, network and other settings on your sensor mask.)
(1) in the AIP - SSM (telnet or ssh) session as the default user "cisco".
(2) adding interface backplane of the AIP - SSM GigabitEthernet0/1 in the virtual sensor default "vs0" using these commands:
Configure the terminal
service-analysis engine
vs0 virtual sensor
phyiscal-interface GigabitEthernet0/1
output
output
Answer Yes when prompted
output
NOTE: The above could also be done through the advanced configuration command, or could be done through ASDM or IDM. To put it simply I just give you the CLI commands.
3) connect to the ASA CLI. If you're "ridden" on the SSM, then an exit from your session will respond to the ASA CLI. If connect you via the console through a ssh or telnet or ASA ASA.
(4) set the ASA to send traffic to the AIP - SSM.
To do this, you would create an ACL for the traffic you want to monitor. This ACL is then used to create a class map. The plan of the class is then added in a political map. The political map is applied.
Here's an example of how you can get any traffic to monitor histocompatibility of the AIP - SSM:
conf t
IPS ip access list allow a whole
my class-map-ips-class
corresponds to the IP access list
Policy-map global_policy
My ips-category
IPS overcrowding relief
global service-policy global_policy
NOTE: The foregoing will send all IP packets to the SSM for surveillance of promiscuity. To change monitoring online simply substitute "inline" instead of promiscuity in the line of configuration of IP addresses.
Note 2: The service-policy command is a reptition of the command that should already be in your configuration of ASA by default. So, it will probably generate an error/warning letting you know that the policy is already applied.
IF you do not use the default configuration on the SAA and instead create your own policy, then you can use the steps above, but add the class to your own policy rather than the value default 'global_policy '.
(4) repeat steps 1 and 2 on the MSS of your Eve ASA.
The configuration of the AIP - SSM does NOT automatically copied between the AIP-SSMs. If you need to do the configuration manually on the two AIP-SSMs.
(5) connection to standby you ASA and check tha the configuration in step 3 is automatically copied to your Eve ASA.
The steps above are in force at step 4/5 in your original list.
Your AIP - SSM should now be followed by traffic.
You can now proceed to step 6 of your original list.

Hello everyone,
I would like to know the difference between easyvpn and Lan 2 Lan.
I mean if I want to connect a (20 pers) office at Headquarters should I use?
What benefit I have to if I use easyvpn between two ASA rather vpn Lan2Lan? or problem as perfomance
Thank you very much
The main advantage of easyvpn is the simplest configuration required on the client and the server.
With LAN to LAN, you will need configure the address of your peers and corresponding access list for encrypted traffic. And continue to configure this, whenever you add a peer.
Easyvpn customer can be dhcp address assigned by your ISP for their internet connection, you can have the subnet end of client to server traffic connection end network, without having to define the network of the client at the end of the vpn server. No need to keep changing the configuration of the VPN server for each additional vpnclient counterpart.
More information here www.cisco.com/go/easyvpn
Kind regards

I purchased Mikrotik hardware devices and want to use routeros seat firewall cisco asa establish VPN. Aims to establish that a branch may be two IPSEC VPN access devices at the headquarters of the server via the public network.
But now, I'm having some trouble, so I have cisco asa branches and headquarters to establish successful ipsec vpn.
(1) branch routeros WAN port using a private IP address and is a member of the asa above outdoor sound created vpn ipsec, vpn successfully established internal servers and I ping the switch at the headquarters of the branch. However, there is a problem, I go through routeros visit that the headquarters of the https server pages can not be opened, telnet internal switches can telnet to the top, but were unable to penetrate into the character.
(2) in addition, I left the branch routeros on a public IP address WAN port and asa VPN IPSEC created seat, said problems above are not, the server can also be accessed, telnet switch can also enter text and control.
At the present time, I have encountered this problem of interface not CAN not because I need to create of very, very many industries and the need to establish headquarters communications branch offices so I have to use private IP addresses to access the Wan, unable to do wan are public IP address and headquarters to establish IPSEC VPN.now, I can't telnet asa inside the cisco router and open the web inside https, I can't solve the problems.

Try 'inside access management' and let us know how it rates.

Hello
I set up a VPN between two sites using two cisco asa. The VPN works perfectly, but I can not telnet, ssh or run ASDM on the ASA remote, that is, if I'm on LAN 1, I can not telnet, ssh or run ASDM on ASA2 and vice versa.
Just to test, the entire networks (LAN1 and LAN2) have all-IP and ICMP authorized on VPN, but no way.
I can connect and everything else between LAN1 and LAN2.
on the ASA1, I tried both
Telnet netmask2 LAN2 inside
and
Telnet netmask2 LAN2 outdoors
What's wrong?
Thank you
You will need:
inside management interface

Problem with Telnet VPN site to site ASA - ASA
Hi techies,.
I created a site to site through ASA VPN... An ASA 5505 and other ASA 5510 East. 5510 have 3 interfaces. both of them is on the inside. No DMZ. and it is outside the interface. one of the inside interface has 100 security level and other has 90. The 5510 is client-side. We can telnet to this ASA through the interface with the security level of 100... We enabled telnet via the lowest (90) with security-level interface, even if we can not telnet to this interface. We just change the security level of 90 to 100, but it did not work... so changed to 90. the telnet configuration is also even any other interface...
but it did not work... If someone please suggest a fair solution ASAP...
Thank you & best regards
Vipin Raj
You can only manage 1 inside the ASA by the VPN interface, and it is activated by the command "access management".
Why do you need to manage the ASA via all interfaces from the inside by the VPN?
ASA cannot be managed from the interface where you connect since with the exception of the 1 cross interface when you VPN in.
Example:
If you are connected to the ASA inside the interface, you can only manage the ASA inside the interface, not the DMZ or outside the interface.
If you are connected to the ASA outside interface, you can only manage the ASA outside interface, with the exception of when you VPN, you can handle the 1 other interfaces, but you will have to enable it with the command "access management".
Hope that makes sense.

I have a CISCO5520 and telnet has suddenly stopped working on my inside interface.
I checked my syslog error and get the following
5 October 15, 2013 11:56:02 Resource 'telnet' limit 5 reaching for the context "single_vf". No idea what this could be?
Thank you
James.
You can get the output of

PIX telnet/ssh access to the VPN Lan2Lan
Scenario of several Lan - Lan IPSEC VPN between PIX F/Ws.
I need to remotely access / these PIX via Telnet/SSH & would prefer to do it through the VPN tunnel.
NB, I tried telnet/ssh configuration for both inside/outside of my source but can't hit the PIX.
Because the Tunnel is actually inside-inside I'm trying to connect to the inside interface of the pIX.
You can do it now in 6.3 code with the command "access management". See http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pix_sw/v_63/cmdref/mr.htm#1137951 for more details.

Normally exempt us VPN site-to-site of NAT traffic. This could be your problem. If you can share your configuration, we can have a look.

How to open the port 161 on the ASA and Cisco switches for monitoring of BB
Dear all,
I want to install BB to monitor snmptraps suffering of failure.
The newspaper shows BB cannot connect to all ports of the switch 161, and I even can't telnet to 161 XXX_17f for example.
My switches are Cisco C3550, C2950, etc. of the ASA.
Mon 7 Nov 15:43:03 2011 bbnet cannot connect to the server XXX_17f on port 161
Mon 7 Nov 15:43:03 2011 bbnet cannot connect to the server XXX_9f on port 161
Mon 7 Nov 15:43:03 2011 bbnet can't connect to XXX server on port 161
Thank you
Anson
no need to adjust anything in bb-hosts. If you have added setings in bb-hosts, delete them. Also remove associated in bbvar/logs log files. (otherwise, you'll have purple when you delete the SNMP, trap tags bb-hosts)
A column of trap will be that no show until the device sends a trap to BB.
