temperature measurement with labview on four location using NTC thermistor

Hello
My project is the measure of the temperature of a thermistor on-site 4 difference.
The measures must be 0 for 100 * C.

details.

  • For the sensor, I must use only NTC thermistor.
  • I have to do an application with Labview.
  • the application must give me the right measure in real time, and it should save the sample in a database.
  • This measure is taken max 20 feet form the pc.

I'm new with this.
Can someone help me with sensor circuits.
How can use DAQ with the thermistor.
Can I use EMANT300 Low-Cost USB DAQ Module 24 bit?

Please give an idea

  • How to open and close an electronic shutter with LabView 8.5.1 using an NI USB-6009 case?

Also, I need to set up a timer so that the shutter is open for 15 minutes and closed for 30 minutes.  It has to do 500 times.

The USB-6009 case is a relatively new device, and LabVIEW 8.5.1 is a fairly old software. You should check to be sure that you have the corresponding to your version of LabVIEW (DAQmx) drivers that support of this material. It sounds as if you put it in place to MAX and control the output manually, which is a good sign. I don't have access to the version 8.5.1 and I do not exactly remember which functions he supported, but the attached picture shows a simple diagram in a new version of LabVIEW that would do what you want. Of course, you should test with shorter and less iterations because it takes more than 2 weeks to complete! Add any controls, indicators and the error checking you want.

  • Measurement of temperature using Iex thermistor with PCI-6259

    Hi all

I have I encounter some difficulties to measure the temperature using MAX with the installation of the thermistor Iex and would like to know if I missed something important. I use external current thermistor excited with 2 ladders and card PCI-6259 with MAX.

This is a channel that was originally set to measure voltage and MAX approx. 900mV since this channel, OK, the voltage converted temperature is about 30 ° C. Then I added a new channel and configured to measure the temperature directly with default installation MAX Iex thermistor. This is so the problem appears: I'll get a constant-273 C instead of 30 C as expected by operating the canal in MAX. I must have done something wrong here.

    Your help is greatly appreciated!

    Bryan

We discovered that the problem came from our wiring to thermistor does NOT of installation. If Differencial has been used, the conversion of MAX worked well. If this is not the case, only directly blood pressure will work.  Bryan

  • The use of Global Mapper SDK with LabVIEW

I am really new to the use of any SDK with LabVIEW.The basic idea behind this is to trace the lat and long coordinates in global map cutomized app via Labview.I mean I'm labview data acquisition, but I want to display coordinates in global map. For what I do. I don, t have much abt MFC idea too.

    Hello together,

  • Is DAQ Measurement Computing USB - 1608FS compatible with labview?

I have DAQ USB-1608FS from Measurement Computing company, and I was trying to see if it is possible to use

This data acquisition with labview 2012. I tried to download the drivers from their company http://www.mccdaq.com/usb-data-acquisition/USB-1608FS.aspx

but when I tried to use labview in the DAQmx the DAQ tool is not detect it by LabView. So, if anybody out there knows if this data acquisition

really can work with labview, please let me know.

Their driver seems to be ULx http://www.mccdaq.com/daq-software/universal-library-extensions-lv.aspx

and he said that he supports LabVIEW 2012. I suppose you open a sample and the device does not appear? The device is displayed in the Windows Device Manager? It seems that this driver/device will work, there may be just a few questions it initialize properly on your machine (either with Windows or Measurement Computing software). You must be to open a debate on their forums or call their support help line.

Good luck! Let us know some of the above and, of course, let us know if find you the solution.

The national Instrument is reformat that you drive less than 126 GB or replace the drive with a less than this size.

Please OR tell me you go fix your LabVIEW Real Time soon, and that we will not have to wait for LabVIEW RT 9.2.1 in 2011 for this one to fix.

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/Wikipedia/Commons/9/90/Hard_drive_capacity_over_time.svg

Readers as high as 126 GB or more have been around since mid-2002.  It's about 7 years now and LabVIEW Real-time STILL cannot use greater than 126 GB drives!  Please OR.  Do something.

We deserve the patches for older versions of LabVIEW RT.  What about updates to LabVIEW RT.  As 7.0.2 7.1.2 7.6.2, 8.0.2, 8.2.2, 8.6.2.

We don't need new features or versions of LabVIEW RT as 9.0 until we have some of the bugs fixed in existing versions.

  • Can what cards I use to develop communication SPI with Labview?

First of all, I'm an intern is currently working on a project that involves communication with an SPI interface. I have absolutely no experience with SPI, but I finally decided to try. I work for about 6 months with labview and understand the function of basis of a large number of its resources.

    The problem:

We want to connect Labview to an evaluation Committee that is connected to the PC via USB (but it can also be adapted to connect through SPI). The evaluation board mainly reads and writes if sign up for issuers that are connected to it by a Module assessment. The program which is already which is the Studio of SmartRF (that works via USB), but as we want to link all the functions in Labview we redevelop a platform to do so. If shortly, we want to make a Studio of SmartRF version in Labview. We want to be able to get all the information that makes the program and others... and all this is possible through SPI.

Here is a link in case you are interested what is SmartRF Studio: SmartRF Studio link

My question is which card do you recommend for what we are trying to accomplish? We are looking for something not very expensive but who fail to meet our requirements.

I think of the NI USB 8451, but please make suggestions.

Thanks a lot in advance and please stay tuned to my many questions coming about how to accomplish this enormous task with no knowledge whatsoever of SPI or how to mix with Labview only one student. I am reading as much as I can find, so all the links will also be very much appreciated. If anyone has any experience with NI USB 8451 with Labview be kind enough to guide me

    Sincerely,

    Gisela

If you have very little experience with LabVIEW and SPI, the 8451 is a good choice. It's expensive, but it's really easy to use and configure.

The Aardvark is also a good choice. There pilots LabVIEW is also easy to use in LabVIEW. The disadvantages is that it doesn't have a lot outside of simply making SPI or I2C - in other words, it doesn't have a lot of GPIO. This can be important when control of multiple SPI devices, because it requires to select them lines individual slave.

Dinah is really more than a product of laboratory, or something that is meant to be placed inside a camera. It is expensive, compared to the other two, but it doesn't have native drivers in LabVIEW. On the contrary, it comes with a DLL you can call from LabVIEW. I wrote a set of LabVIEW drivers for it, but I can't distribute.

There are other products on the market, which some will resemble a device series to your computer. For example, you would use VISA to communicate with the SPI controller, and it would appropriate communication of SPI.

Among the three mentioned here, I would suggest that you go with the neither of the Aardvark, one.

  • With LabVIEW how to control an instrument with a RS232 output, using a USB RS232 converter cable.

With LabVIEW how to control an instrument with a RS232 output, using a USB RS232 converter cable, since I do not have rs232 ports. I have two instruments I want for the control in this way. One is a guarantee of strength Imada SPAS with RS232 output. The other is a micrometer Panasonic HL-G103-S-J laser sensor which is RS422. I have done significant programming LabVIEW using GPIB, but I have no experience with devices such as these. No matter what tutorial or examples would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

When you plug the USB-RS-232 converter, it installs a driver under Windows which makes it look like any other RS-232 port.  You may need to install the driver of everything that came on the CD with the converter.  It will get a Com as Com5 port number according to what is the next available number.

  • using NI USB 9201 with LabVIEW Real-time

    Hello

I try to use a USB of NI 9201 on a remote real-time target. Here's what I did: 1) tricked out of a desktop PC to serve as target RT using the instructions provided on the Web site of NOR. He now starts in an RTOS with LabView RTOS 9.0. (2) I communicated successfully with the help of a host computer that has a windows with LabView 2009 BONE and I installed the software from the computer remote RT target host using ethernet. However, my problem is when I plug NI 9201 USB on the target RT that I do not see the material listed on the devices tab in MAX and interfaces on remote systems. I tried to get the manuals for the HW 9201, but it seems not much explained here, or maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. Any help is greatly appreciated.

PS: I am attaching 2 JPEGs for additional explanations (tab network settings and the settings of the system).

    Thanks in advance,

    Benoit.

    AVS,

9201 USB is not supported on RTPCs please visit this link. Currently no usb-DAQ devices do not support an environment CRPC. Only the PCI DAQ devices are supported.

  • Analog inputs measures with NI6229 using the DAQmx driver

    Hello

I have four different analog inputs connected to ai0 to HW 6220 ai3. I read these values with a single task, all 4 channels assigned to this task. When ai0 reads 7V, I see 0.8 V ai1 too, but I expect to be measured 0V. If I just assign ai1 to the task and measure all 4 channels, then I measured 0V as expected (although ai1 contains 7V, I just don't measure it).

Another comment 'funny', is that if I change the order in which I add channels to the task, measurement errors are different.

However, when measured with a multimeter 4-channel show tensions as expected.

Given that my calling task is can not block, I call the function

    DAQmxReadAnalogF64 with timeout = 0 and numSampsPerChan = 1.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    Kind regards

    Deepa

    Deepa,

    Thanks for the code snippet.

When you call DAQmxReadAnalogF64 the first time and you set a value of timeout of 0, there is a chance that the acquisition is not yet initialized. This is the expected behavior and should not be a problem. If the timeout error died at the first call, you might ignore it or set a different expiration time for the first call only. In all cases, you should drop the first value and start with the second value.

  • Is it possible to use a Linksys by Cisco Wireless - G Internet home monitoring camera with Labview

I was wondering if it is possible to use a "Linksys by Cisco Wireless - G Internet home monitoring Camera" with Labview

    http://www.dabs.com/ProductView.aspx?quicklinx=53PX&SearchType=1&searchTerms=network+cameras&PageMod...

I wan't to be able to get the raw data from the camera and analyze it.

I found a simple soloution to this problem,

Is possible to use a web browsers invoke node basically give a screenshot of the web page (get image)

It can then be loaded into a display of the image and will show exactly what the web browser is showing and can also be analised by unflattening the pixmap.

Maybe it's not the most effective method, but he turns my rig fast enough and does the job

It may also be a setting value of the display of the photo to "smooth updates" that gets rid flashes white as the changes to the image, if anyone else has this problem.

  • Problems using panels of remote façade with LabVIEW 8.6

    Hi all

I have an executable in time real LabVIEW I have deployed and running on a PSC-2220, and now I want to access the façade of this executable from a local computer connected to it.  I'm doing it by running a VI on the local computer that uses the "RP. Open the connection to the server"VI.  I used a similar setup with a PSC and LabVIEW 8.5 and it worked very well.  I went through a lot of documentation on the site OR on the way to implement and did all the usual things:

I have the VI in a project deployed on the CFP.

I activated the web server and VI server on the target.

I am passing the correct name of VI, IP address and the port at RP. Open connection to the server

I can see that RT executable runs on the CFP, when I deploy it.  My problem occurs when I make the call to RP. Connection to Open the VI server executes the call, but the façade of the executable of RT on the CFP never opens, and I never an error of appellant VI (I have a PR of VI to a dialogue and an indicator error and I get nothing).  He calls the VI of PR, but then wait indefinitely and never opens the front of the executable RT.  This same problem occurs when I try to do the remote façade using web publishing tool, or when I use the option "Connect to remote front panel" in LabVIEW.

Has anyone ever seen this before, or know of anything I could hurt?  Is this a problem with 8.6?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You use FieldPoint 6.0.2?  We have a report of Corrective Action (#125870) for the remote front panels for the cFP-2220 with LabVIEW 8.6 and FieldPoint 6.0.2.  R & D is currently working on a fix, until then, the only known workaround is to use LabVIEW 8.5.1.

  • Using ComponentOne c1chart with Labview

Someone of experience using the C1Chart (or a 3-d chart) of ComponentOne with LabView?  Background: we have a c# dll that contains a control to the user with a C1Chart placed on it and a lot of wrapper code to make the C1Chart data color of LAB plot.  We create this dll and then use it in LabView.  We place our LABORATORY chart in a container .net in Labview.  Here's the problem with the C1Chart version

2.0.20091.19053 it worked great and when we went to version 2.0.20092.19168, that today ' today, we get the horse C1 screen, saying: we use a C1Chart evaluation version when we run the vi.

Any thoughts? I use version 8.6

A component has corrected this problem and it will be integrated in the version official 2010v1.  In the meantime if you need solution you ask the C1 for the middle generation 2.0.20093.19356 or higher.

Also, here's their describtion of the question. Perhaps NEITHER can reivew to see if there are effects for LabView.

    * License code passed under 19053 at 19152.

    * An old license code class (C1. Win.ProviderInfo) LicenseProvider puffiness. The new
code doesn't have any class that inherits from LicenseProvider. In addition, the
LicenseProviderAttribute() does not specify a license provider.

    * The only way that the MS IDE might find there is a license, and what is the license would
because our controls call LicenseContext.SetSavedLicenseKey (). Apparently this is not enough for LabView. He must
be looking for the System.ComponentModel.LicenseProvider () and using the virtual memory LicenseProvider.GetLicense)
    obtain the license key.
