Temperature of the system at 90 c in Portege R700

When I turn on my Portege R700 and immediately open the Toshiba PC health program (monitoring sensors) it shows the temperature of CPU either very low, of course, while the temperature of the system is already at 90 C.

As a result (I think but I could be wrong) the fan runs at almost maximum speed.
The situation does not change in time: rest CPU temperature generally less 40 c, the temperature of system at 90 c, fan still spinning fast.

Is this normal? The cooling test program says everything is fine.

You should try to perform a cleanup of laptop:

Hmm... If it shows that the temperature is low, but it goes up to 90 C, means do not work properly. Reinstall it, but before complete cooling system cleaning

What exactly do you mean by saying try another disc (with the same OS) on laptop computer and connection is OK.

  • Out of the blow of sleep when the HARD drive password used on Portege R700

    Hello
    I just got a DLI R700 with Win 7 Pro 64-bit
I have a very annoying problem because it must be plus 1 minute to accept the password after the resumption of the mode standby. It would be faster out of the hibernation!
So he wakes up from his sleep in a second, then you can enter the password without any problem but you just can't click on the arrow or press on enter up to what more than one minute. Similarly, it will accept even fingerprints directly at the exit (you get the green check mark) after wake but then expects just over one minute to move in the opening session on the desktop screen.

Through a process of account, I worked on what was going on...
Only, it crashes when you have the password on resume from sleep. CV password sleep turn out and he throws back in Office windows in seconds of wake
This does not happen to resume from hibernation or reboot - scan of fingerprints or password is entered, then goes right into the office in a few seconds
I started uninstalling software fingerpint, vap, power, toshiba - nothing always security management the same. Then I realized the password HARD drive - which was defined using the security of Toshiba and deleted using the same, has been still enabled in the bios. I have this off and everything works fine. I reinstalled the vap, power management and fingerprint software and everything is always very well, so it was defnitely the HARD drive password.
Now it's really fake I want to have a RESUME from sleep password and HDD password protection - I have to choose between one or the other, unless I want to wait more than a minute each time he wakes from sleep which is a real pain! So it's clearly a bug in HARD drive password settings, probably in the bios? I have the latest BIOS installed.
Any ideas on how to get this sort?

Does anyone else have this problem with be either 32-bit or 64-bit. Or everyone doesn't have this problem, that is to say that they hear HARD drive password AND he wakes with password ok in a few seconds?
    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

It's really hard to say something about what I can only say that I can t noticed this problem on my Windows installation.

By the way: you are using the version Windows from Toshiba or your own installation of Windows?

Theoretically, it could be a problem to install Windows or disc itself are you able to test another installation of HARD drive or windows that you can make sure it is not a software problem?

I bought my laptop in UK and I intend to improve my system Vista Home Premium 32-bit to Windows 7 Professional 32-bit.

In some forum users have mentioned that.

Users with nVidia graphics card should check the temperature of this device before upgrade.

In this way you will know is it works fine under Windows 7 also.

How you can check your laptop CPU (processor), the GPU (graphics card), the motherboard or HARD drive temperature?

To do this use HWMonitor (free and recommended) or Aida64.

Q1] what is the minimum temperature / best should have the CPU and GPU, motherboard, HARD drive?

Q2] is that this temperature is sufficient to upgrade to Windows 7? It will create no problems after the upgrade to Windows 7? This is the value of the temperature of my system of CPUID Hardware Monitor v1.22

    Hello

I have a satellite A30-141 and I install XP home, but when copying files, system shuts down...
I've changed the hard drive and the mem, the same problem...
    Any help?

    Thank you

Can you please explain this copy procedure specifically? Same thing happens when you play games?

Satellite A30 is old enough laptop model and it is possible that the laptop is dusty and when copying the material temperature reached the critical level.

    Good bye

Have you noticed a higher temperature while working on this laptop?

High temperature can be one of the many reasons why the laptop does not work correctly. You can check this by using like Everest Home Edition and similar diagnostic tools

Corrupt system is the main reason why something is not working
Have you tried to clean the BONES and the registry using CCLeaner?
    Try this.

What about viruses? Scan you the system for malware?

Last but not least, it could be a malfunction of the equipment. RAM, HARD drive, or even motherboard could cause this

  • ThinkCenter X 1-Fan, kicking out every minute - temperature of the CPU (88 Cel 190 f) without any charge

    Hi-

I just brought a new X 1 - All in One ThinkCenter. Due to improper handling, I was forced to reinstall the computer using the Reovery disc. Everything was fine... but now the fan is kicking in every 30 seconds even when the CPU is not used... I apply the flash BIOS (m0hjy30usa) without any positive results...

Any idea that can help me understand the question? Should I have the latest BIOS flash?

Thanks a lot for your help

    Hi-

I tried a couple of solution by myself and a change in the power management... So far, it seems that this has a huge impact on the temperature of the CPU. I'm currently running at 41 Cel. (104 F) and I ran a few tests Stress CPU without any problem. Although the system is 91 C / 195F when the CPU is at 100%... (as usual seems to me at this point). Do you think that I still need to change my processor? I hate doing things if it is not necessary? Do you think I should give a long essay of my solution? Thanks for your help. Sophie,

  • Satellite A350D - too high temperature of the processor

    Hello guys.

My laptop CPU temperature is too high. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit edition. And the temperature at idle is ~ 70, she raises up to 98 C when loading the system. It happens only with 64-bit OS. 32-bit Windows idle temperature is ~ 40-50 ° C.
I have the model A350D PSAKCE.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

There is a new version of 64-bit BIOS.
In your case, I recommend to check the version of the BIOS.
If you still use an older version of BIOS (perhaps 32 bits), then you need to update it to the latest version of BIOS 64-bit.

    Good luck

  • Question about the temperature of the CPU on the Satellite A100-599

    Hello..

I own an A100-599. When working on electrical energy, my laptop runs very hot. When windows is idle, the core temperature is about 45 to 55 degrees Celsius. and when winamp goes it is about 50-60 degrees Celsius.

is this normal? What are your temperatures? can anyone share system temperatures?
can I send my phone service?

    Hi dude

Don t worry about temperature of the CPU. Changes in temperature and it is variable.
The temperature level depends on the use of the laptop and
the CPU temperature will be higher if some applications are running!

While it is absolutely not unusual to say 50-60 degrees temperature. It of normal!

Did you know that Toshiba laptops support protection against overheating? Not?
You don't have to be afraid. If the temperature is too high the notebook will stop down automatically to avoid overheating of the material. ;)

    Enjoy your nice toy ;)

  • Reading of temperature for the use of Thinkpad T510

    Hi all

I have a question about the standard temperature / acceptable range for computers thinkpad t510 operation. My setup is currently my t510 is connected to an external monitor, speakers, keyboard and mouse. Therefore basically a desktop computer except using the innerds of the laptop as the "heart" of the system. My power manager put the CPU to adapt. The temperature readings that I get for the processor and the motherboard download the program called of Piriform Speccy are on average 60 to 61 degrees C. I wonder if it is within the normal temperature of operation for the laptop and if it is acceptable. What is the temperature not okay and why it is so high, it's that I use external references. Also, I even use heavy workload for the laptop and more for the web, browsing and listening to music and work on documents / spread sheet so basically, office work.

And finally, the problem of temperature would resolve if I would in the future to get a computer laptop w530 since these laptops are more "powerful"? Or is that evil and the temperature is normal.

    Thanks in advance for answers

Yes ~ 60 ° C is quite normal. I would get concerned if temperature readings consistently exceeded 80 c or if the fan was constantly. Otherwise you will see the temperature fluctuates as activity processor and graphics vary.

  • Why the system idle process makes my desk fan light constantly

Why the system idle process makes my desk fan light constantly

The system idle process has nothing to do with your fan coming.  Your computer constantly monitors the temperature of your CPU and if this temperature is too hot, then the fans move on to high speed.  You can use the freeware 'CoreTemp' program to display the temperature of your CPU, if you want.  Temperature rises usually when the computer is under heavy CPU load but the usual cause of high speed switching fans is an accumulation of dust inside the computer and close the CPU fan.  Open your case and clean the dust.  A can of compressed air makes quick work of it.

  • The system restarts often without notifications during labour

    Description of the problem.
The system restarts often without notifications when you work. There is no periodic synchronization for reboot happens in a mansion at random.

Description of any troubleshooting that I took.
Updates Windows; Antivirus updates; Power has changed (SMPS) and verified. Deleted malware help malware bytes. analysis with Lavasoft ADware. Unchecked the option restart automatically under boot options and recovery. The question still persists.

In most cases, a sudden and complete computer shutdown is either caused by overheating or bad RAM problems... well I have seen some buggy programs that cause this too, but since you say it's random, I would place my bet on one of the first two problems.  I suppose that there is nothing in the system (start-> Run-> "eventvwr.msc") event logs?

You could try to run a freeware such as 'Core Temp ' software which will display your CPU temperature and loading, and may allow you to avoid this problem.  Running tests of RAM may also be revealing even if RAM tests tend to stress the CPU overheating so cause so you may not know that is your problem.  If you have replaced the power supply, then I guess that you have cleaned the sheep of dust on the motherboard and check the CPU fan rotates properly while you were there.
