I have a problem with the address because the sensor 7-bit address is 1001011 (A1 and A0 set to 1) but the LM92 works in little endian (LSB first) and Labview adds the R/W bit at the end of the address, so that full frame sent to the LM92 is 1001011R/W.

  I'll try to find a solution to reverse the complete frame before seending to communicate with the LM92.

  LabVIEW returns the 301742 error because the address is not the wright one and I can't find how to send the address in little endian.

  I just need to read the record of the temperature of the sensor so I need to write anything in it.

  I see your screenshot you have nothing related to the upper part of the series set defines the stop character.  By default it is enabled and the value of a newline character (ASCII 10).  As a 10-byte might be a perfectly legitimate byte of data, it is very likely you will receive your VISA and this byte read ends early.  Thus the 2nd byte following the newline character is sitting in the buffer of the series and becomes the first byte of the next read throw all out of sync.  It makes sense that it reads very well until 09FF but not after.  The next value will be 10 00, therefore the line break character arises and ends VISA read initially.

  If you can use with USB-6009 LM35 depends on the range of output voltage of the sensor. I understand that it requires a 5V supply with respect to the ground, which you can provide to the USB-6009 (more than 200 my should not come from the USB-6009).

  The maximum range of the USB-6009 is - 10V to + 10V, while the minimum range is - 1V to + 1V, also probably the output signal of the LM35 will be in this range. What you need to do is to compare the full range of the output signal with the range of the DAQ divided by 2exp (14) (because it is a 14 bit ADC) and ensure that the first is much more than the latter.

By accessing the available hardware monitor chips, some of them can show temperatures, voltages, and fan speeds. Most of them work well with desktop computers, but not with laptops.

  Hi elahetal.  The LV vs LV RT decision really depends on what are your needs of the moment.

  RT is not necessarily to be as fast as possible, but rather as consistent as possible.

  If you have a measure which must be taken every 100mS + / 2 ms to practically use RT a generalist OS like Windows will be randomly off the coast and do other things (read a cd, the printer, the disc index, etc.), causing your position to be late.

  A RT environment will allow you to determine precisely at the time where the system should do what.  The compromise is that the RT environment is somewhat limited, because you do not have all the bells and whistles, practitioner OS.

  If your action must be taken every 15 years + / 10 s then you can very well get away with standard LV on a PC.

  In some cases, a combination works well.  For example, RT on FieldPoint or CRIO to manage the time of sensitive issues and LV on a PC to manage the analysis of data and user interface.

  I put t believe these tools 3rd party, but if your laptop is overheating and stops, you should clean using compressed air stream. This could blow out the dust from the cooling fans.

  I have a Mac Pro 1.1 updated to level with two Intel Xeon X 5365 CPU and firmware 2.1. The system has worked very well for months. However, I'm worried about CPU temperature readings. Assuming that the readings are correct, I have no explanation for the difference in typical 30 degree Celsius between the processor and the heat sink.

  CPU a heatsink 58 C / 136 F

  B processor 91 c/196 F

  CPU radiator B C 59/138 F

  I use new thermal paste Arctic MX-2 and tried various measures, including polishing of the surface of the CPU and the heatsink using sandpaper grain 1000. Nothing has so far had no effect on temperature readings. There should be enough good contact between the heatsink and processor during the installation, because they stick well enough to remove the heatsink again.

  Your temperatures look a bit high, but not outrageous. The temperature measured on the Silicon of heat will be always higher than the temperature measured on the radiator. That's what the radiator is supposed to do, leads away from the heat to the fins, which would measure even more cool.

  Your Mac allows to adjust speed of the fans to the top in a loop of feedback, founded the temperature of these measures. You can place a floor under your minimum speeds of fans. This can be done with the tool similar to some tool you already use, like the SMC fan control.

  If the processors to exceed their safe operation temperature, your Mac will perform a sudden uncontrolled power off.
