    (3) n ° using App World your application based on OS minimum and selected devices.

  • Person to contact with questions about the presentation of the app world

If I have a question about the app that I submitted, anyone knows how do I contact someone about this? I can't find anything on the site and respond to notification emails gets me nowhere.

    Hey miss breeder,.

that will be tough. If you browse the App World his hell out there because of the new development forums and people have a lot of problems with it. I've read people were emailing RIM all week and no responses were received. But if you post a question here MShom (one of the moderators) usually responds in a timely. The support email is [email protected] I believe. Good luck!

  • I forgot to package ID, not able to update the app World! Help, please

    Hi guys,.

As the title says, I forgot the package ID, and I'm not able to update the app World! whenever I submit a press release I get an error indicating that the package what ID does not match. Please suggest me what I can do? How to find the package id? Thank you very much. See you soon.

Goto the BB forum and ask the question. BB has the ability for you to create a new token of dev and map it to the original. I had to do this recently. MShom was the one who did it for me.

  • The app world approved the request no search appworld.

    Hello friends,

My application is approved from app world but my application not search appworld. Today, I just know that when we "after sale" I post my request for sale but still my application not search on the appworld. I'm not select any country. It is accessible to all. someone tell me good document what should I do?

What exactly diffrence bettwen ready to sell? and just appoved application?

    Thank you

    AP

Once you post for sale, this can take a few hours to spend, all devices. Have you tried refreshing the app worl app to see if that helps? You see your application on the web site of the App World?

  • Updates the app world VS. your own updates

    Hi all

We are preparing to release our application.

My question is, most of you use App World to distribute and update your applications or you roll your own?

My other question is, all blackberry models come with App world installed? App world will settle on the software updates for the older models?

We are trying to determine if we need to create our own update process or piggy back the worlds of the app.

    Thanks in advance

App World pushing updates, but the timing of these updates is different and all users do not receive at the same time (I guess for reasons of scalability and efficiency).

You use a credit for each update that you push so if you want to push your own updates via a mechanism of "Check for updates", you can, but it's perhaps easier to push in the App World and let the App World to warn the user.

  • Flag to set Autostart on request submit to the App World vendor Portal

    Hi all

I've been wondering. How the device know if my application will be run automatically at startup (when the device starts up) or not, if my application is installed by the user from the App World?

I thought that the autostart flag is stored in the Blackberry App descriptor XML file then reflected to the .jad file once I've compiled my app.

Presentation on the App World vendor Portal requires only the .cod files, not the descriptor xml file or a .jad file.

The autostart flag is also stored in the .cod file?

    Yes

  • Why my apps are in the app world, even if it is not "for sale."

Hi, why my apps for BB10 are in the app world even if it is not "for sale"?

I don't want them to be shown, because I need to fix some things

    Hi smartek,.

Can you send me the name of the application (and ID if you have one).  I'll take a look.

The current Alpha Dev devices are pointing to a different environment, so I want to make sure that your application is not "for sale" in the secondary environment (sounds like they are).

  • Performance of applications in the App World of device but not in the Site

At 01:00 on Friday, I received an email saying that my app was approved and published for sale, I checked the portal provider and everything was correct. When I searched my app in App World on my PlayBook and my DevAlpha app were found without any problems, but when I tried to search in the App World web site so I can get a link to share, I could not find the app, and it is not listed in my profile App World. Someone at - he already experienced this? Is there a solution? 3 days ago and I did not always share the app because of this problem.

In addition, I was reading this forum today and I saw vague messages about BB10 apps appears, that is the question? My application is for PlayBook and BB10.

I can't answer why she does not appear, but you have no need to find where to get a link to it.

Enter the provider portal and click on manage products. Click on the entry of the application itself, to access the "Edit product" page with the first 'Info' tab product  The first thing listed is an ID, as for my app battery Guru: 'ID 51274.

Just take any app URL and replace the id with the number for your and you're good.  For my example, guru of the battery is https://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/51274 .

  • StageWebView - does not support links in the app world

Anyone who has ideas on how to get StageWebView in your game supporting type links "http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/xxxxx"?

If you click on one of these links in your html from an instance of StageWebView it reports:

«Error: the browser doesn't know how to handle web page.»

This is still part of my quest to provide an easy way to update/display for PlayBook users my other games that are available.  It would be so easy if there was a simple way to open a page of the seller in the app world app of your game.  No really good luck so far.  The idea of StageWebView was great, until I discovered it's the inability to manage the links of appworld.

OK, so here is how I solved this now:

    private function openAppWorldLink(e:UnknownProtocolEvent):void {
        moreGamesWebView.stop();
        openURL(e.url);
    }

I add an event listener to the QNXStageWebView to a UnknownProtocolEvent instance.  Who is fired off the power as soon as you click on the link "http://appworld.blackberry.com/blah/blah".

You can see that I don't then stop any additional load (I did because otherwise you see 'ERROR' screen for a bit, and I thought that ugly).

I then enter the url of the event and open it upwards (this is just a custom function that basically a call navigateToURL on the url string.

It works great even if you do not see the error screens, it opens to the top of the page of game in appworld and I can update my html page customized each games change/update.

Thanks for your suggestion to consider the QNX events!

  • BlackBerry Torch 9810 smartphones does not accept the App World Ts & Cs and can not install applications

Hi, I had a search in the forums and knowledge base and has not been able to find an answer to this problem.

I have a new Blackberry Torch 9810 on O2 to the United Kingdom. I have Blackberry App World installed and I have App update the icons in the my messages folder. Whenever I try to go to my Apps and install updates in the App World, I get the terms and conditions window if poster, I scroll down, click on 'accept' and the window disappears and nothing happens. I click on my Apps again, same thing, window appears again.

I uninstalled App World and reinstalled and I still get the same problem, I can not get the Ts & Cs to accept so can't update my apps or install others. If someone else has had this problem and is there a solution?

    Thanks for your time.

    Ant

    OK... try this...

    (1) make sure that you already have the RIM desktop software installed on your PC:

and have executed at least once with your BB attached (so that it can do it's initial configurations).

    (2) attached via the USB port of your PC (the software didn't need to run)

    (3) launch the browser on your PC and go here:

Leave the plug in install and 'connect' to your BB ID account (via the browser/PC)

See if that allows things to configure correctly.

  • 9380 blackBerry smartphones cannot start the App World after the operating system upgrade + card

    Hello

my camera 9380 worked perfect when I bought it.

Then I upgraded OS to v7.0.0.513 to 7.1.0.366-> BBM did not work

    So I drove back and re-installed 7.0->

    (1) maps: "error at startup net_rim_bb_maps: class 'net.rim.device.api.lbs.maps.ui.ManeuverFiled' not found.

    (2) BB App World must be closed

    any help?

    THX

Hello and welcome to the community!

I'm sorry, but the errors you posted seem somewhat independent... so I need clarification please:

    Gbassi wrote:

Unfortunately, "did not work" is not really diagnosable. What, exactly, have you tried? What, exactly, happened every step of what you tried?

    Gbassi wrote:

    (2) BB App World must be closed

I do not see how these two errors are related to the first, you were trying to throw the maps app when it appeared? For the second, which came with the maps app? Or is separate #2 and lies somewhere in the process by using your AppWorld? Complete step by step of what you try, with a full explanation of what is happening at each stage, including the full text of all error messages, is essential to understand your situation and if all goes well to guide. Otherwise, we have to guess...

So I guess. My guess is that, once you upgrade to 7.1, you don't have to perform a few extra steps to ensure that all services were properly enabled on your BB. Here are the steps. I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) remove and return Service directories

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! You can try these few points in your process... either now (on 7.0.0.513) or after you re - try to upgrade to 7.1.0.366.

    Good luck!
