TestStand 2014 cleaning after the failure of a step
Hi all
I am new to TestStand, so I have a simple question that could boring you but I cannt find the solution.
In my main sequence, I say 50 steps. If a step has not the next step to executete (by deafult).
What can I do to stop the execution of the following steps if a step fails. I wish that the sequencer will cleanup directly then call the next step in the main sequence.
All mere suspicion is appreciated.

You can define the sequence of cleaning goto on the failure of the setting sequence:
Configure > Station Options > immediately Goto cleanup sequence if an error occurs
Also, make sure that the steps fail sequence on a step failed, by setting up:
Parameters of the step > step sequence of Causes of failure

I was using an old computer and now I have a new and I want to give the former to my nephew, but I want to wipe the hard drive completely clean, in order to get rid of personal information. Hi Bobby Collas,.You must have a copy of the installation CD without which you can not re - install the OS again.If it were an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) installation, you can restore the factory settings. Contact the manufacturer to do the same. -
OP: Action Center... PC problem: 1 important message
After the failure of the attempt to install the JAVA update, I received this message from Action Center... Windows cannot check the updates. So I was taken to the dialog box and retried to check the updates of windows fails again with the code D0000034. Thanks again for your response. Since your last I discovered through my system status (Control Panel), I wrote that my product ID and the Windows 7 activation status not available. So I followed instuctions to help and microsoft support to activate. Yet once, I got the error code D0000034 as before with the problem of update. However, I was given the opportunity to phone, but received no phone #. I bought the DVD of Windows 7 and installed on the PC that was custom built for me. On the site Web microsoft help and support, I was asked for the product ID, which according to them is a # 20 numbers. Not the only one, I have is the product key which is one 25-alpha-numeric. I tried to enter only and does not pass. This is why I say that I can pay for help since I did not ' have the product ID. Maybe it isn't your area of expertise, Irfan, but I was hoping... I re - install windows on last April when I got in trouble and probably did not re - activate? What do you think? If you can get back on track, I would be very grateful and thank you once again to be a big help!

Also thanks to all the people answering the phone at microsoft. The experience I had was really a pleasure. I wasn't expecting such an attitude courteous and professional.

Lost in My Documents after the failure of the system files
I have a (~ 6 years old), Dell Precision Workstation 360 serice XP Pro pack 3. This morning when I got up the screens show vertical bands of color. Given zero has nothing - not even the selection screen or function key boot options to enter the bios Setup. In brief - not even a partial boot - just (double) monitors show the vertical lines of color. Encryption on the motherboard could have found death I took the C: drive and plugged into one another computer (XP) via one box drive external usb. In windows Explorer I can see just about everything that I expect to see on the drive except in the My Documents folder. I don't know what should be there, but the only in My Documents is the music of my pictures of my user name and user name. The only items in these folders are the XP sample music files and images. I did a search on the entire disk for a couple of files that I know should be in My Documents, but nothing was found. Since then, I ran a virus scan using Norton Internet Security, but he found no virus. I've got some critical files on this disc I need today. Stupid me - had not saved them in a few weeks, so a lot of work is missing.
Any assistance to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

It seems that there are file system corruption, after the failure of your hardware. Try some recovery software data (links below) or, if data is critical and expense is not a problem, don't take any chances and send the drive to a professional drive savers data recovery company.

As the machine has been previously upgraded to 10, a hardware profile (digital rights) will have been saved by the activation servers.
As long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after the upgrade of the 8, you just create your own installation media and perform a new installation as described in the guide on the following link. Note: On the activation screen, select "I don't have a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.

The system was attacked by a virus/spyware. Microsoft Security Essentials has been installed after that - it found nothing after a comprehensive analysis. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has been installed, it is the largest part of it and removed. Norton 360 has found rest. SuperANTISpyware has also been installed and this has also nothing after a system scan. Then ATF Cleaner and CCleaner were used to finish with what anyone else remaining areas may be temporary.
So right now the system is more or less fine - programs running, the internet works etc. However when I open the control panel and click on a bunch of things for example Security Center, Sound, customization etc - they open habit. You see that the cursor turns into the blue circle for a fraction of a second and then more nothing. No window opens and closes or whatever it is. Now, I assume that the pieces of the virus/spyware are still active but with all tools using the latest definitions not being not able to find anything like that, I wonder if it's just a case of something having disabled those elements and not them reactivated after cleaning. The reason why I don't think it's something malicious is also because some options such as the Windows Firewall, the Manager of devices and programs and features open and work properly. Any other malicious software would certainly avoid these access as they could help shorten.

Activation of Windows 7 after the failure of the HDD for gift

I have an old Dell Precision M70 I work to clean up to make a donation. The laptop came with Windows XP, and I've upgraded to Windows 7. I ran a utility to clean the hard drive boot and Nuke and thrown in my Windows 7 Upgrade disk. I was surprised to see that it is installed, however, the activation key for Windows 7 Upgrade is not be accepted as a valid key. I understand that it is a key to upgrade, but is it possible to validate anyway?
I could give it's feel bad to do. I would like to put this machine in fully functional form, but did not know that my upgrade product key should be rejected when I started. I have a second laptop I had intend to do the same thing with, but don't have the key of the original product.
Any advice on how to solve this key activation debacle would be greatly appreciated. I would hate for my two licenses to upgrade Windows 7 will now be useless because I don't have the original XP Activation keys. Never did.

I was recently asked to repair my brother DELL laptop. The HARD drive failed and the system unusable. I replaced the HARD drive and installed Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 (earlier version of windows) from my own installation media. The recovery partition had survived the failure of HARD drive, I would have just cloned that and used, but this was not an option in this case.
The problem that I am experiencing, is that windows don't will not activate, saying that the key is not valid. I was told that installing Windows 7 media would work with a retail or an OEM key, but that doesn't seem to be the case. The key OEM I use, is from the computer it came from originally, and the only material change is the new HARD disk.
I try to avoid ordering an OEM Dell installation CD, as which costs money (I already have my own installation CD) and takes time (why do they have them available for download?).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Can not activate after the failure of the motherboard
I bought a Windows version that can be installed on 3 computers. After TWO failures of motherboard, I can't activate Windows now. When I tried to activate via phone the automated message says that I already used the maximum number of computers for the key. It's very frustrating because I had a motherboard last less than a year and a second last only a month or two. Now, my system works great but I can't activate it. It's frustrating.

I have just updated to the CC Photoshop 2014 on my MacBook Pro retina and just after it starts, it is just on the spinning wheel for about 3-4 minutes until finally, Photoshop can be used.
It's never happened before in the CC version that was usable immediately after the launch.
Any ideas what is the cause? I tried to disable all plugins and presets, etc. anything.

I had a different problem with first CC 2014, I managed to get solved with the help of someone on the Forum first.
The great thing is that the solution also fixed this problem of Photoshop as well!
So here it is:

I found a solution that worked for me. Seems to be a permissions issue. Here is the solution I found (found here: CC 2014 startup problems: Adobe Premiere Pro):
In the finder menu, click and hold down the menu REACH. That hold the option key and the library user will appear. Click on the user's library.
In this folder, go to preferences and find the adobe folder.
Right-click on the adobe folder and click get info.
In the permissions section, & sharing, there are three names.
Everyone should say read & write beside them.
Open the lock, turn all to read and write.
Then click on the little train directly under the names or to the left of the lock and the menu drop down click on 'apply to the included items.
Then relock the lock.
Now, go to your OS hard drive and click on users, your user name, Documents.
Find the adobe folder there.
Right-click on the adobe folder and click get info.

Open the lock, turn all to read and write.
Then click on the little train directly under the names or to the left of the lock and the menu drop down click on 'apply to the included items.
The lock, the lock again.
Wait a minute. Then launch first.

JSF keeps displaying the old values after the failure of the Validation Phase

I would like to ask for help to understand a given behavior that JSF indicates that the Phase of Validation fails.
I use:

Description of the problem.
I wrote a form with input fields 4: an inputText and selectOneMenu 3. There the inputText while the selectOneMenus require no validation.
Attached to the first selectOneMenu (line 32) is an a4j tag: support, so that, whenever the change event is triggered, the list of items of the second
and the third (line 44 and 58) selectOneMenu are filled correctly (note that the agent of the inputText is ignored with the ajaxSingle attribute).
In particular, after the loading of two lists of items, the actionListener requires the value of the second and the third selectOneMenu null.
This mechanism seems to work fine until I submit the entire form without completing the text entry: as expected, JSF validation fails but if I change the value of
the first selectOneMenu again (causing a new submission), page guard showing the specified values before JSF validation failed for the second and third
selectOneMenu (note that the actionListener is still called and the values of the second and the third selectOneMenu are always forced to null).
Since I'm on a simple PhaseListener, I noticed the following: before JSF validation fails, whenever I change the value of the first selectOneMenu, life JSF
cycle always calls the get method for the second and the third selectOneMenu during the Render response Phase. In this way, JSF is able to 'see' that
These values have been set to null in the appeal Phase.
After the validation failure, JSF stop to call these getters when I change the value of the first selectOneMenu.

Part of my storage is left after the failure of bootcamp
I tried to install windows 8.1 on my MacBook Air, but it has failed twice. (I did it without any problems after a few months ago but then I removed it when I do not need). After the second time disk utility has shown that I have another partition but I couldn't use it, so I restored it in bootcamp. At the end of the restoration process, a message appeared that it could not. The score disappeared but 30 GB of my storage does as well.
It would be sufficient to recover my OS X without the help of a Time Machine to get the lost 30 GB left?

You'll need either Time Machine backup/delete/restore diskutil OSX or Terminal commands and a re-installation of Mac OS x.

hard drive corrupted after the failure of the connection?
I have the problem that the usb device is not recognized, sometimes my devices are recognized s, sometimes not, but don't I have, I have connected my external hardrive, it was not recognized, I turned it off and on again, I thought that if I restart my pc it could solve the problem, I've done, but because windows does not start if I have the hard drive connected at first I turned it off again. I opened the folder on the hard drive and tried to play sth, it was corrupted txt files went EVERYTHING was corrupt or gone!
