text file convert array of strings

I tried to convert the text into an array of strings. But this is not successful.

text file:

SD, 1,2,3,4

GD, 3,4,5,6

I use the string of worksheet to the Array function, but all THE characters became zero.

my result:

0,1,2,3,4

0,3,4,5,6

Hi Hieu,

try this way:

When you want an array of strings that you will need to provide the constant corresponding to the lower left entry of the "chain of worksheet to the table..."

  • How to save the text file input array

Hello, I am very new to LabVIEW, so apologies if I use the wrong terminology.

I did a VI which reads 25 text files from a 3D array.  When I click on run I need to select the files 25 text.  Is there a way I can save the data imported for later calculations without having to select the files each time?

    Here's what I have:

Thanks for that.  But the user will not have access to these files during execution of the VI.  There are many other paintings that I'll need to save and index for other variables as well, so just for that would use the method of you would be useful to know.  All I really need is a way to save these relatively few values in a table.

So do you intend to have these values hard-coded into your executable?  This seems dangerous and likely to have you to make updates much.  Believe me when I say you want to have the sitting files with the executable.

But if you're insistent on this, I would use a global variable.  Have a VI just read all files and build the table for you and write in the global variable.  Then you can right-click on the control on the Panel before global variable 'Create default value'.  Save the variable and build your executable file.

  • .csv in an array of strings

    Hello

This is probably a simple problem, but I have a CSV with string values in a column with numbers in another.  For example:

    Volume 6

    Diameter, 5

But much more of a file.

I would like to be able to read the first column and reach a just the string array.  I tried to use text file in the spreadsheet string to array in table of Index functions, but I can't seem to get the array of strings to work, as happens with 0 for any text only.

If someone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!!

Transferred to the LAVA.  I posted a response there.

  • text file as config

    Hello world

Once again I have some difficulty.

I'm trying to control Goepel Cascon with my labview. What I basically want to achieve is:

I want a configuration file that contains a part of the serial number of my share a name. The serial number is parsed as a string of alphanumeric one limited to the first 10 characters. Now, I want to find the line in the text file that this shorter string is also written in as the name that is separated by a tab number is supposed to be read by labview and transmitted.

All this is necessary for my final program when the apllication is generated can be updated just by writing new things in a text file.

    Thanks for help.

    Michael

It would be useful that you can attach the text file. Basically for your scenario, you can read the text file in a table 2D-string with 'Tab' as delimiter and find the serial number and the name of the party. Come back if you face any problem.

  • Write array of strings in the text file delimited by tabs without Report Generation Toolkit

I find that writing in the File.vi worksheet does not Append REAL mode.  http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/D1629D863F0442CC86256A0200558A15

That url describes a workaround solution is to first create a file in Excel, save and then writing adds to it.  This is something that users of my compiled application will simply not do.

Writing File.vi measure generates tab limited text files but only takes some input signals.

I would take my array of strings and simply write that in a limited file tab.  Is there really no way to go in LabVIEW without spending $500 one another?

  • need to convert a logically binary text file

    Hello

I have a text file binary that I have read and converted into a two dimensions array using the spreadsheet in table string. Then I converted the 2D table to table 1 d by concatenating columns. now I want to convert this table logically to another array of the same size such that all 0 are replaced by-5 and all the 1 replaced by + 5.  Thank you.

    Kind regards

    Hi Raja,

You can go through a loop and replace all values of your, or you use the function 'Flatten channel' and replace your values with the function "search and replace a String." Convert the string to your table with the function "Unflatten chain.

  • Convert an array of strings 1 d

    Hello

I am creating headers in a write to a text file.  Attached, it's my code and the file looks like when opened in Excel. I have my data in three columns, but the headers are not where I need them. LabVIEW does not seem to allow a conversion of an array of strings. Is it possible that I can get the headers in a row format and not a column?

  • Store an array of Boolean as a text file

    Hello

I'm having some trouble storinge a table 2D-25 x 25 of Boolean in a text file.

First of all, I do the 2D table a table 1 d and then I change it to a number, but here, something is already wrong, not the full number is stored, no doubt because the table is this great?

Any help will be very appreciated!

    Hello

the function of reading binary file, there is a data type called entry on top. It is by default displayed as an input string. wire a Boolean constant 2D on this entry. You can read the Boolean data in the file

If the number is 1, you get a boolean to the output array. If the coutn is - 1, you will get an array of arrays.

The Write() and Writeln() seem to copy more old content when it is called. Can I just add the text to the last insertion position in a text file? I could just pop the string into an array and write the table in the file, but I prefer a direct means to do so.

Any help would be great = D

Assuming you have a text file with your example e-mail addresses, the following AppleScript will read this file in a list (mf_List) and then use this list as input to choose among the list. Because multiple selection is allowed (control button), the output is sent to a list (sel_addr). We check if the Cancel button was pressed by testing for false and if this condition is met, we the script error.  Based on a single or multiple list item content of the list, display accordingly.

game of mf to ((path to the folder as text) & "mail_list.txt")

    the value mf_List to {}

    the value sel_addr to {}

the value mf_List to paragraphs of (read file mf)

the value sel_addr to (choose from the list mf_List with title ¬

('Mail list' with multiple selections allowed without empty selection allowed)

If sel_addr is equal to false then

    Error number-128

    return

    end if

If length of sel_addr is equal to 1 then

sel_addr display dialog box as text

    on the other

the value Point to the text of TID to AppleScript delimiters

the value Point text in AppleScript return delimiters

display the dialog box elements of sel_addr in the text

the value Text of point AppleScript delimiters to TID

    end if

  • Convert data from text file to display for hex UDP transmission controls

    Hello

I'm reading packets ethernet from a text file containing the actual hex data packets to then send these accurate return through a writing UDP hex data. I can't understand how to feed data into the function of writing UDP as real rather than characters ASCII hex data, as it does by default. I had the screen on the last VI before the writing of the UDP to "hexadecimal display mode" and if I manually type the hexadecimal values in the VI (hexadecimal string to binary String.vi - attached), then it passes the commands correctly. However,... when I fed the string of text in my text file data in this VI, it seems to be the substitution of this hexadecimal display on the VI input mode and the resulting entry in my UDP is still ASCII character mode. I tried to use a cast inside this VI, type... but that doesn't seem to work right. I have attached the main VI and VI which tries to prepare data before reading the UDP protocol. I've also attached an example of text file of data that I am an attempt of analysis.

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Thank you

  • Convert a hexadecimal string to byte array

    Hello

I would like to convert a hexadecimal string (e.g. 0x156FD18A4) into an array of bytes, the problem is that I don't have any delimiter (for example 15 6F 8 a 4 D1) so I can't use the worksheet to an array of strings, I tried to do something on my own, but everything seems to be too complicated is there an appropriate way clean and neat to achieve what I want? (or maybe a clever trick to add delimiter every two characters in my original string)

    Thank you!

  • CONVERTING SCAN TO ocr TEXT FILE

I bought recently a new in the Deskjet One 4440.

I used the disk supplied with the device implementation, and installed the COMPLETE INSTALLATION.

I can't get the scanned document to save in a text file.  I even went online on the HP website and downloaded the new drivers and softwear nothing helps.

I have read all the data in the event of problem and discovered that the program does not include the part of OCR program.

OCR is what converts a document scanned into editable text.

In the end, I spent an hour and a half (1 & 1/2 hours) on the phone with HP Tech Support.  The technology was very polite and patient, but could not fix the problem either.  Technology has even tried adding download drivers and additional software.

    All to nothing does not.

It is the first HP printer scanner that I have ever owned, and so far I am very disappointed.

I never had such problems with more Lexmark printers and a single units, except for the price for replacement ink cartridges.

I still have a whole perfectly well and operational in a Lexmark, it's just more ink.

If anyone has an idea of what's wrong with my new HP, I would be very grateful for any help.

    Thank you very much

    Hi scandroid,

    Thanks for the reply.

Meanwhile the next reminder of day Technical Support HP in India, I connected to this chat site and found that my new installation of the software does not include a program with OCR.

I went to the HP website and downloaded "HP Photo Smart Full Program." (C309a)

I installed it and it fixed my problem.

I have read many entries on the blog of people who have had the same problem.

The above download is a deffinate for problem solution.
