  If you mean that the text seems to disappear, then it seems to be a relatively common problem with CS6 in El Capitan.

  I use CS6 with El Capitan and you encounter this problem sometimes. It happens constantly some days and other days not at all, but I've never established exactly what triggers it.

  As Bob says, CS6 is not supported, so it will not be a solution, but if this is the problem that you are experiencing then tap the display between 'Preview' and 'normal' pressing 'w' will fix it - temporarily.

• position text box changes when I increase the height of my page

  Areas of text on my pages move according to the low side of my page. So when I change the height of my framed page adjust themselves. Must be something simple that I'm doing wrong. I readjust the top of my page layout, whenever I change the height of my page.

  Go file > Adobe PDF presets and choose one, smaller size of file is a good start.  How you use is not a good way to create your PDF files and will be the cause of your problems.

• cut and paste text from an e-mail sent in a new email. Text then disappears when sent. Recipient gets a blank page.

  I need to regularly send a text to a particular recipient with only the day and date which is different every time.

  I noticed after updating to V24.1.1 that were to happen, the text would have gone, just like the e-mail was sent.
  After checking my 'sent' folder, I found that the e-mail was a blank page. Conformation of the recipient showed that they had received an empty email.

  Another thing (boring) which is now occur when you type, the cursor will often jump to the upper-left corner of the page and continue to reproduce typed words.

  This does not occur in any other application requiring the seizure, that is to say MS Word 2013, Wordpad, or Notepad.

  Any ideas as to why.

• My SMTP server Govind always ask for a password when I send the mail, why?

  I receive email fine. But when I try to send an email on the Server SMTP Out going for a password. I put a password when I change the configuration server. But it still for a password for each outgoing mail. This problem, I first noticed around Nov 17 14. It was just after a few dates for Thunderbird.
  I NEED HELP PLEASE, WHAT IS THE SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM?

  Next time it asks for a password:

  • Enter the password
  • Select the check box to "use Password Manager to remember the password."
  • Then click OK

• Text box disappears when you use the text tool

  I downloaded a model for a leaflet to 3 parts and I create a text box, as soon as I take my finger off the mouse button, the text box disappears.  If I type, the text appears, but it has a colorful background.  If I switch to the selection tool, the text box is once more visible, but as soon as I hit the text tool, the box again is no longer visible.

  I guess it may be a setting somewhere in the model (this doesn't happen to me when I'm working on one of my own files) but I can't find the setting that controls this.  Any ideas?

  What color is the highlight? Rose, a font missing, green means custom tracking/kerning. These ar the two that you're more likely to see applied to an entire line. Yellow is substituted glyphs (typically ligatures, but it could be all cpas or samll so caps) and colors for the kepps violations there, but I don't know them off the top of my head. All these can be turned on or off in the Composition section of the preferences.

• Empty text box value when reading about the LV2012 development system but no Production

  Development platform: 32-bit Windows 7, LV2012 Professional Development System.

  Production of platforms: Windows XP.

  We have a test application, we have developed (in haste, I might add) who has a curious problem.  As part of the installation for each test, read us a text box with a serial number entry and record them in the log files.  Series enough.

  This works very well on production machines - no apparent problem.

  However, on the development computer, when I try to read the text box, all I get is an empty string.  I tried to read directly from the Terminal, as well as using a property value box.  Each time, there is nothing in the string.  This is even though I'm looking at the text box and there are visible data in it.

  Clear the text box repeatedly, I'm looking to see if any of those that occur at the wrong time.  And, indeed, I am looking a probe value of ' ' from the property node Value with the string "1234" visible in the text box while NONE of the compensation functions have been affected.

  The test application uses a pretty standard user interface event loop model, with an event loop manages the user input and the other event loop manages the business logic.

  Anyone have any idea what can cause this, or a better search string to find clues?

  As promised, I did go to the bottom of it.

  Simply enable "update of value while typing" gave me the result I expected.

  To explain: I had a key event down to the first text box that has been copied to this text box.  Whenever a key was hit in this text box, the value would be read and updated.  I did not have all the events for the new text box.  It has not been updated to what some other events.  At that time, it was apparently too late (most of the time on the development computer) and occasionally on the Production machine.

  Activation of the "Update value while typing" indicator means that the value field would properly up-to-date each time he has been seen/accessible.

  Life is a learning experience...

• Imported text formatting disappears when you change the font in the character palette.

  Something seems to have changed with my InDesign, and I don't know why. Here's what I used to be able to do.

  I could import a word doc into a text box. This text would be bold italic, regular, fonts. I choose the text box, and then change the font using the character palette by changing just the upper box of the police. For example, if the police imported as Helvetica, but I wanted to be all Futura, I check the box and then simply type Futura and all bold Helvetica would become "BOLD" Futura, and italic Helvetica became Futura Italic, etc.. I didn't have to select each row.

  Now if I try to do the same thing, when I select Futura, it changes just ANY text to regular Futura. I lose all the precedents of the formatting that was imported from the word doc.

  I hope this makes sense.

  I fixed it. It was so simple. I just stumbled upon the answer.
  All I had to do was change the search option using this drop-down list. (See the image)

  

• Text is encrypted when printing from the web

  I'm a problem for some Acrobat X's Web sites.  When I print to Acrobat button print all text in the pdf file is scrambled.  My printer works fine.  Interestingly, if I copy / paste the text encrypted in the pdf it comes out correctly.

  I checked with the site and they have no knowledge of what might cause this problem.

  It is related to how Acrobat substitute fonts. More and more websites use "web" downloaded fonts (for example, from Typekit), and because they do not exist on the list of the operating system of the installed font files, you must make sure that "rely on system fonts" is disabled in Acrobat presets.

  Because this site uses a rights-managed Typekit font called Adobe clean, you will find the same thing happening when you try to print or convert this page in PDF format - the substituted text may seem random letters because there is no built-in, search table but in the PDF file structure the text really is (so we copy and properly glue).

  If your using Vista or XP while in the painting after that you drag the text window will come the possibility to change the font and size. If you do not see this option click on view and be sure there is a check box in the text toolbar.

• Photoshop 2015: BUG? Layers panel auto-fait scroll to top when you select the text element with the text, creation/copy of layer tool and other actions

  This is a bug or a really bad and frustrating idea for a story.

  (1) in the layers panel, select a text layer, it highlights

  2) change to the text tool

  3) click on the text element in the workspace

  OR

  (1) select a layer in the layers panel

  (2) Ctrl-J, new layer by copying

  EXPECTED: Panel layers rest in the same position

  REAL: Panel layers scrolls the element selected or new layer to the top of the Panel. BORING.

  I do not need or want Photoshop to make decisions for me, space to work around to move without asking, or generally to spoil my flow!

  Please fix this or give me an option to turn it off as soon as POSSIBLE.
