Text is distorted

More frequently, when I open a web page, the text is distorted. If I place another window on the text or highlight, the distortion disappears. If I scroll the web page, the distortion will scroll with the text.

I have attached a picture. No one knows what it is or how I can fix this?

Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Try to update the graphic display driver.

Open the drive, go to the edition menu > preferences > Page Display > rendering > set smooth text for laptop / monitor.

Click OK to confirm the changes.

  • Firefox - screen / text is distorted, magnified, inverted, regularized...

When ever I start FF the screen is distorted - on a slope, in fact. The text on the web pages will be expanded vertically, blackout curtains. The radio buttons will be moved from its position, but if I am lucky and drag the mouse all over where it should be, he will reappear and be functional.

  • InDesign: how tilt blocks of text without distorting the text?

I want to put in place several large blocks of copy to these requirements:

-the basic lines of the text are at an angle on the page

-the left and right edges of the text block are shot-on horizontal (aligned with the guides in the screenshot below)

-the block of text can be enlarged or reduced without changing the angle of the left and right edges

-forms of the letters themselves are not distorted

I think Illustrator is a kind of function that allows you to "zero" (reset the transformations of a grid of 90 degrees) an object after it is transformed. Not finding anything like that in InDesign. And I find no way to set a custom angle constraint that would allow me to use the direct Selection (white arrow) tool to change the height or width with confidence.

I'd appreciate some tips! Thank you for your attention.

I do so with the example of shooting. Tilt works the same way.

    1. draw your rectangle, I applied a text frame reference grid (textframe options)

    2. with the Selection tool or the transform tool turn the frame in one direction, you can also do this with the entrance of the value in the transform Panel, what I would recommend.

    3. now, select the direct Selection (white arrow) tool and hold the ALT key and click on the frame. Now, only the frame is selected. Turn the other way, or insert the value in the transform Panel.

I also have another method to offer:

    1. Draw the main frame with the text tool.
    2. Draw a small box above, it must be much smaller than the main frame.
    3. Turn the small frame in the direction that where you want to go the text.
    4. Select the two images.
    5. Go to the Pathfinder > Add.

Now, you can add text or select a text based frame reference grid. He will do the same as above. May be simpler.

  • Quick help appreciated (bases, increasing text is distorted)

    Hello world!

I'm not familiar with Flash, but I'm doing a simple effect - making than more and more short sentence.

So what I do simply creates the new file (I use CS3), then by writing a text, convert it to symbol, insert new frame (about 35), that edit-> scale, I put it to love the 120%, finally, I create a motion tween.

The effect is not satisfactory - the text is growing, but at the same time is distorted. I tried many fonts, other ways but I have the same problem.

I know it's a lame question but this question annoys me for a longer period.

    So any help is welcome.

    Kind regards

  • Why text is distorted after windows update and how can I solve this problem?

    Hello

This morning my windows vista made some updates. Subsequently the Firefix text is exampe is bad, sometimes unreadable, attached. The text is not bad in IE, but change the return isn't desireble. Text was OK before the reboot of Windows Update. Disable ClearType exacerbates the problem. I tried to reset as described on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/reset-preferences-fix-problems, no help.

    Data:
Acer laptop Travelmate (6 years), running fully updated Windows Vista, Danish language. Firefix 35.0.1.

    What to do next?

    Regards Lars Jensen

an option may be to tackle this particular update for now until there is a fix from microsoft or you could also look at if there is a graphics driver update available on the Web site of the seller (intel/amd/nvidia) which could also be solved this problem in some cases.

  • Disable the text (accidentally) distortion Photoshop with the tool box move?

When you want to move a text box, but accidentally it disproportionate scale:

    Screen Shot 2016-09-13 at 11.53.49 AM.png

Disabling 'Show the tools of transformation' is impractical, because you need to transform the elements all the time and it's good to see what is selected... Could not find anything in the frame, nor on Google thank you!

I never use "Show transform controls" with the move tool. CTRL/cmd-t is a simple shortcut for the transformation that usage see the transformation control is annoying.

  • How can I distorts text with perspective distortion

I have a line of text that I want to stay editable - so not "vectorize".

I want to give the text a distortion of Perspective, but the free transform tool allows me not to this. How can I get the effect?

Or, as Mike suggests the 3D effect, but the Rotate option.

  • How to resize a text box without distorting the text?

I'm trying to resize an area text, but whenever the text gets distorted. What I am doing wrong?

To resize the box, double-click its icon of layer.

The difference between a text box (aka paragraph Type) and a layer of Type normal, is that for the shape, select the text tool and click where you want the insertion point.  For the latter, you click and drag to make the type box.

  • Why am I DBO for the latest versions of FF 17,18,19? Update MS newset (KB2670838) is distorting characters on Web pages.

I am getting blue screens of death since the latest versions of Firefox from 17. I now have version 19 and BOD always get when I am browsing. It happens randomly, no particular site. I am running Win 7 Pro 64, with 8 GB of RAM, AMD Phenon II 4 X, ATI Rad HD 4850 video card. I keep my software updated and my protected system.

In addition, this recent update from Microsoft (KB2670838) 27/02/2013 is distort the text on Firefox on all Web sites. It happens that I scroll to the bottom and the text above distorts and changes color. I do not have the same reaction of IE9, test to see. When I select the test it appears correctly.

After the update of Microsoft KB2670838 Firefox crashed several times and wouldn't start. The Explorer did the same. This update seems to be bug, as his colleagues have experienced the same. I uninstalled the update and everything worked fine after that.

  • How to stretch an object without stretch the text inside?

I have a complex object (a field with a bunch of text labels, etc.), and I want to stretch it horizontally or vertically without deforming the text.

I have an option to scale or not to the traits of the scale, which is very useful.

However, everything I choose here, the text always distorted.

Is it possible to stretch it so that the text keeps its original form?

If it's an or something where all the type was originally to the horizontal scale to 100%, there is an easy way

    1. Select all
    2. The value horizontal scale to 100%

If the option not > object > text objects and use the suggestion of Jacob

  • Realization of distortion chevron of police (to the WordArt)?

Sorry if it's easy enough to do... I'm relatively new to Illustrator, and I was not able to find a tutorial video of the forum or thread or whatever it is Google based on my search to several weeks of search criteria.

I am trying to find a way to take a block of text and distort half way left of the word bow at right angles upward, and half right of the word bow at right angles to the bottom. Not curved or wavy. In a WordArt for Microsoft Office, this can be achieved through the "chevron" form However, the person I am cela for wants the manipulated text in such a way that the letter A (which is in the middle of the 5 letter word) is perfectly centered despite 'Impact' is not not a font spacing fixed and WordArt does not allow for this customization. I suggested to Illustrator, since shirt screen printers prefer it anyway.

I searched online, experimentation on mine, and I can't figure out how to make this form of chevron. Of course, I'm quite inexperienced with Illustrator, but is what I try to do the best? Any tips?

While I'm here, I would ask also about a second type of distortion that is in the design that I'll need to recreate in Illustrator. It seems to be another thing from point of view of the WordArt... basically the word is larger on one end and short at the other end, AND the shorter end is tilted upwards so it is still higher than the top of the letter from the top. Is it possible to do it on Illustrator?

    CPonte,

    You can:

    (1) type (just keep it as a type of Live;

    (2 create a centered rectangle slightly larger than 1 bounding box) and object > path > add Anchor Points, the fill value if you want to, in which case it should be under 1) in stacking order;

3 copy 2) and move it clear, it must be above both) 1 and 2) in the stacking order.

    ((4) move the horizontal sections of 3 Central Anchor Points) vertically to reach the angle right chevron (you can use the direct Selection and ShiftDrag tool or set values);

    (5 group) 1 and 2);

    (6) select all and object > envelope distort > make object from the top.

  • Dell Inspiron n5010 no 8beeps screen

Watch the boot screen and laptop beeps 8 times. Call technical support dell, they said that lcd or mobo has gone wrong. He said to see if I get anything on the external vga port, the result is attached. who does not work? And also what are my alternatives.

    Hi alex12349,

8 beeps and the error 0321 refers to the failure of LCD - http://dell.to/1IuETMX - visit this link for reference.

To confirm the feature LCD - disconnect all external components of the system - make sure that the system is off - press on and hold the button "d" + power button to turn on the system - it should initiate the self-test LCD - you would notice strong changing colors on the screen control - http://dell.to/15LTFPZ - #5 in this link of reference point.

However, looking at the photo you posted - the text is distorted. Therefore, I suspect that the motherboard has also failed. If the LCD built in self test passes, then I suggest to replace the motherboard. If this isn't the case, you may need to replace the LCD and motherboard.

  • E6410 display - apparently bad native resolution

I have a Dell E6410 used mainly with Ubuntu 12.04, dual boot in Windows 7.

In the last days (and without changing anything knowingly) the screen of the computer ceased to display correctly.  The picture is always visible, but pale, with thin white horizontal lines and text is distorted as if he lacked the alternating lines of pixels.

Using F2 at startup displays the natural resolution as 1 440 x 900, like the Ubuntu nvidia-settings. However, I'm pretty sure that the display hardware is 1280 x 800 version.  The behavior is certainly compatible with forcing 1440 horizontal lines on a screen that has only 1280.

The appearance has the same problem when it is started in Windows.  An external monitor works perfectly.

Is it possible that the machine got confused about its own resolution?  If so, how can I fix it?  If not, are there other diagnoses that I should try?

Update: restarted Ubuntu and all resolutions are now visible.  So, I have a fully working!

Apologies to anyone following this thread in hopes of good diagnosis and cure - "buy a new machine" and "hit it with a hammer" are not really much use.
