Text is misaligned

Hello

I think I found a bug in Firefox for Android.

When I go to the following Web page on "Firefox for Mac OS X", it seems. However, when I go to the same page on 'Firefox for Android' I see some questions:

liondatasystems.com/events

Basically, if you go to the web page above in "Firefox for Mac OS X", you will see the words beneath the eyes of the lion (World Class predictive analytics) are placed 'in' the banner beige color and look ok.

However, if you view the same Web page on "Firefox for Android", the text will be misaligned with the banner of beige.

And, if you view the same Web page by using the "stock" Android browser, everything seems fine.

Looks like a bug in "Firefox for Android".

It is a change to the page that is planned. This is a feature called inflation fonts that try to make websites more readable on mobile office. It is imperfect.

You can set the size of text to its smallest value and you will get the same rendering than the stock browser.

Button Menu-> settings-> content-> text-> press-> one small format several times

Then refresh the page.

  • Why text displayed differently (vertical alignment) seen on a PC on Mac?

    The text shows misaligned (various) on different platforms (Mac or PC)

    The section of the Menu on this site ~ > Menu

    Is there a way to get around this or fix it. I tried to look at the code in Dreamweaver and I saw some weird (> Span <) tags, I wonder if it might have to do with it.

    The goal is to align the right side (price) perfectly. I even had to do the 'follow-up' individually to each line. It works, according to what I'm working on is the platform, I work and publish from a Mac, it would look good no matter what browser I use, but when played on a PC of the text gets misaligned. The same thing happens if I work and publish from a PC, it would show misaligned on a Mac.

    Hope that there is a reasonable explanation for this.

    -Thank you,

    Ricardo

    The main cause of alignment is the fact that the text uses a 'Web Safe' police. A police 'web safe' is not a single font. It is rather a list/stack of fonts for the browser of the visitor to the website to try up what he finds one that is available to the visitor's computer. That means on a single computer, the text is in a font (Arial for example) and on another computer, it's another (i.e. Helvetica) with the following impacts caused by the widths of character between the two police forces. The best way to reduce this variation between viewers of site is to use a Web font (one edge Web fonts or a Web of Hosted police).

    Alignment will not be still quite consistent between browsers (or even the versions of the browsers), because each browser has it's own text layout engine and engines sometimes change, but the variation will be drastically reduced.

  • Questions and the Quiz Question box misalignment Cap 7

    I work in the latest version of Captivate 7.0.1) subscription version and added a question true/false quiz at the course. The inserted question aligns the selection 'box' (circle) correctly for the first response, but not for the second. This is true for the multiple choice questions as well.

    The master looks very good, there is no extra space in the text of the question (it occurs without the addition of content), there is no way to close the gap of space. If I move the text, the misaligned selection box moves with it and keeps the difference.

    I imported a question of another master, and it works very well, so I have a workaround, but I would like an answer to what is the cause, so I don't inadvertently re-create the problem if it's my fault. And if it's a bug, then Adobe should jump on this one.

    Hi all

    Why is this happening? I exported just a JPEG that came out how it should have so I can use this workaround - but this has been already sent to the printer and lost 4 M² of matter of time and ink! In any case I want to use PDF format if this can be corrected and WARN people of this happening - many thanks again! Jamespdfproblem.jpg

    Assuming that you are a web developer. Except if the page defines the meta viewport element the text on the page is inflated to make it more readable. In general, this works well, sometimes, the outcomes of Bazaar.

    If you're not you can turn off this inflation for your copy of Firefox by opening the settings of

    • by tapping the menu button of your phone or 3 point menu, at the top right of the browser
    • selection of the parameters in the menu
    • selecting view
    • selection of the size of the text

  • Why are the texts and logos on the tabs do on new windows of firefox?

    Opening a new window of firefox, the text on the tab (for example Mozilla Firefox Start Page) and the logo to the left of this one first becomes misaligned, almost as if the text has been "cut in half" vertically and not place back together with precision. The button fullscreen and him "open a new tab" button overlap too on the upper right side.

    To access the full mode screen, cmd + ctrl + F must be pressed twice. Once to get back to 'normal' browser how the tabs should look like, with the text of the tab and the normal logo, and the second time it gets full screen.

    What happens whenever a new window opens. Only happens once per window.

  • Lines of Officejet J6400 graphic in the Excel sheet misaligned when computer file copying

    OfficeJet J6400 all-in-one, Vista, connected by cable to the laptop computer (and also connected wireless. I did both because of another problem fax not working do not under wireless only).

    The copy was working fine. Now, sheets of Excel spreadsheet and graph lines and many a printed text appear slightly crooked and misaligned.  The lines look like test you made during the alignment of the new ink cartridges. (some segments of line up, some down).

    AND, this only happens when copying of computer file for printer.  If I run a printer manually through Excel/graphic paper, it prints very well.

    Appreciate any ideas on that.

    Thank you.

    Both BAD and sorry.  It seems that the right printer ran out of black ink now. What explains that.

    But the ink looked bleak but was printing it for about a week. It is a long warning.

  • How can can add text fields in the form automatically pdf document?

    I use Adobe Acrobat X (10.1.3) installed on Windows 7 to create pdf forms. My document is very similar to a "lined paper A4 notebook.

    I want to add the text field for each row of lined notebook, so people will be able to write what they want line by line.

    As my document has 20 lines in each page, and a total of 64 pages, I won't add these fields one by one. (drawing of rectangles with precision and aligning each other, assigning separate 'field name' to ensure solid mounting.)

    Property 'Set the Multiple field' within the right - click cause misalignment during 5-6 lines statement on the other.

    You have any suggestions or work around I can receive?

    See Doc.addField. If there is a model for the positions lines on each page, then you can generate the positions in JavaScript and use Doc.addField to set the text fields.

  • OfficeJet 6000 periodic Type misaligned

    My new Officejet 6000 was a periodic problem that I was unable to trouble. In any body of text of type I, there are periodic letters fussing in the words or phrases. With other printers that I've had, the problem was still attached by aligning or cleaning of the printheads. This time nothing I've done has fixed this annoying problem. What should I try?

    Thanks, Pontus, for your quick response! In the past, with other printers, I kept the black ink using the "quick/fast/economical printing project" and never recall seen periodic misaligned type that has not been corrected with the direction of the print head. I use a better quality (not often), of course, when I want good copies as some press reports. But your suggestion worked when I used "General daily Impression" / "Normal" / "Print in grayscale" / "black ink only." Since I want to continue to use a minimum of black ink, I assume that 'Fast draft mode' will be my choice for this copy as e-mail. Thanks again for your helpful answer!

  • Text anchor point / alignment

    I have a form and a text;

    • Real text "sourceRectAtTime()" expression in the shape size, be equal size in pixels. It's not the size in pixels appearing in the box (nominal pixel size) Chacterer.
    • Need to keep the text at the top of the form aligned.
    • I have the assurance that text and shape properties were:
    • COMP = 1280 x 720
    • Text and shape:
    1. Achor Point [0,0]
    2. Position [640 360] (average size of Comp)

    • I was expecting to see the text on the shape, perfectly aligned.

    forum.PNG

    But the value of the anchor to the shape does not match the text.

    '0' for the text is = Middle width and low height.

    '0' for the shape is = width mid to mid height.

    Yes, I can drag text to the alignment of the form.

    Actually, the problem isn't height. No anchor point. But in the wide Position. Why, when I change the text, changes the situation there. Quick glance:

    forum2.PNG

    When I change the text with Anchor Point is correct, still in the Center, but the position became misaligned. The text leaves the position of the shape, going to the right.

    This should happen due to variations in the width of the letters, the "sourceRectAtTime()" expression is extremely sensitive to the letters. "

    When I drag it to the correct location looks like this:

    forum 3.PNG

    Except that I can't be slippery, I need everything for always, snaps. Even if I change the text.

    How to solve this problem?

    Update: Please, note that if I put some 'symbol', the largest in height it is also doubtful:

    forum 5.PNG

    Try this. For the size of the rectangle (works the same as you, I think):

    r = thisComp.layer("TEXT").sourceRectAtTime (time, false);

    (r.width, r.height)

    For the position of the text layer:

    L = thisComp.layer("Rectangle");

    Rect = L.sourceRectAtTime (time, false);

    hisPos = L.toComp ([rect.left+rect.width/2, rect.top + rect.height/2]);

    Rect = sourceRectAtTime (time, false);

    myPos = toComp ([rect.left+rect.width/2, rect.top + rect.height/2]);

    value - (myPos - hisPos)

  • Text boxes are connected?

    I spread at least a part of the text boxes on the page seem to be connected to form any. If I type something in a text box, the other TextBox moves downwards. They are not grouped.
    It's terrible, if my client does in the Assembly browser - then everything is misaligned.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you!

    What you can do to solve the problem, it is to increase the size of your text box, pull it completely to the bottom of your image slideshow, as long as the text flow beyond the below text box will not move.

  • CS5 text wrapping moves centered headers

    Hi all

    I have a presentation of three columns with illustrations spots in gutters. They have a round text applied to PT wrapping. 6 centered at different positions in each column are headers or different widths. Headers are not the range of the text wrapping, but they are moved by the placed images. This makes misaligned headers and the page looks bad. Can't find a work around that. I've included a screenshot. Take a look at the word in italics 'Thursday' to see what the problem is.

    Thanks in advance!

    European Union.

    text wrap header problem.png

    Center the text is going to happen with the scarf to stay centered in the 'available' space, just like the text aligned left or right will move if the scarf is on the edge of the frame. You could left align the text and add a tab centered before the words, maybe or customize the limit envelope, so this does not affect this line.

  • JCheckBox misaligned on the BASELINE using GroupLayout and Nimbus LAF

    Hello

    I use the Nimbus UNIFIL for a project and just noticed a big shift in the box with the rest of the text. Here is some code to reproduce the problem:
    import java.awt.EventQueue;
    import javax.swing.GroupLayout;
    import javax.swing.JCheckBox;
    import javax.swing.JFrame;
    import javax.swing.JLabel;
    import javax.swing.JTextField;
    import javax.swing.UIManager;
    import javax.swing.UIManager.LookAndFeelInfo;

    public class CheckboxBaseline extends JFrame {

      public CheckboxBaseline() {

        try {
          for (LookAndFeelInfo info : UIManager.getInstalledLookAndFeels()) {
            if ("Nimbus".equals(info.getName())) {
              UIManager.setLookAndFeel(info.getClassName());
              break;
            }
          }
        } catch (Exception e) { }

        JCheckBox checkBox = new JCheckBox();
        JLabel label = new JLabel("Label");
        JTextField textField = new JTextField("TextField");

        GroupLayout layout = new GroupLayout(getContentPane());

        layout.setAutoCreateContainerGaps(true);
        layout.setAutoCreateGaps(true);

        layout.setHorizontalGroup(layout.createSequentialGroup()
                .addComponent(checkBox)
                .addComponent(label)
                .addComponent(textField));
        layout.setVerticalGroup(layout.createParallelGroup(GroupLayout.Alignment.BASELINE)
                .addComponent(checkBox)
                .addComponent(label)
                .addComponent(textField));
        getContentPane().setLayout(layout);

        pack();
      }

      public static void main(String[] args) {
        EventQueue.invokeLater(new Runnable() {

          public void run() {
            new CheckboxBaseline().setVisible(true);
          }
        });
      }
    }
    If I disable the Nimbus look and feel and use the default alignment seems fine. However, when I switch to Nimbus LAF, the box is placed way above and to the left of the where it should be. What would be the best solution for this? What should I put in some fake inserts or something? Or I do something wrong completely in my approach to the layout?

    Thanks for any help you can provide me with! It seems very scary right now with completely misaligned checkboxes...

    In the case of nimbus, the box requires some text so that there a reference level. If a solution would be to remove the labels and give the text for the check boxes. Another solution would be to use Alignment.CENTER instead of Alignment.BASELINE. In other words, if the components Center the text that is in them, and then focus components within the Group would have the desired effect, even as a REFERENCE.

  • Align to the left of the text OCR

    Hello

    I have recently scanned in several pages of a document and you have run it by OCR. All right, except that the text on some pages is not aligned with text on the following pages (see example in the image below):

    align.jpg

    Each page is misaligned slightly differently from the others, and I don't want to realign it all manually. Is there a method to automatically align the text vertically in an automatic way after doing OCR on a document?

    B1177

    Not directly. You can use the object-editing tool to move the entire block and the crop tool to make things consistent. Maybe it's a little more manual that you like. I don't think that be able to automate it.
