Text message empty of blackBerry Smartphones

When I'm advised it is a text message and click the message notification, I see the sender, but the message box is empty.   It will display the message - anyone knows how it be shown again?  For the moment, I have to find the contact and look at the recent communication with them to see the text of the message.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Each time a random strange behavior or slowness comes, the first thing to try is a proper reboot:

  • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes.

See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

Good luck!

    I'm having a problem, who would say that maybe it's a bug of the BONE, where I use Invoke to allow the user to send data in an SMS text message and some users report cases that it works very well, but in others, that the text of the payload is did not in the messages app.

    Here is my code:

    private void sendAsSMS(){
            MessageConnection smsMC = null;
            try {
                smsMC = (MessageConnection)Connector.open("sms://");
            } catch (IOException e) {
                Dialog.alert("IOException thrown in sendAsSMS(): " + e);
                e.printStackTrace();
            }
            TextMessage message = (TextMessage)smsMC.newMessage( MessageConnection.TEXT_MESSAGE );
            message.setPayloadText(noteArea.toString());
            message.setAddress("sms://");
            Invoke.invokeApplication( Invoke.APP_TYPE_MESSAGES, new MessageArguments(message) );
        }

    For example, it works very well on my Storm2 9550 running 5.0.0.1082, but the Simulator Storm2 running 5.0.0.535 supplied with the plug-in in eclipse for the api 5.0 has the issue of empty text of payload.

    I wonder if this is something that someone else has met and if there is a work around known for this?  There may be an error in my code?

    Thank you in advance for any input!

    Russ.

    Known issue. You must use the EventInjector to move it. Do some research, I have come across this before, and I found a good thread that has talked about this. There should be something in the incident handler.

  • BlackBerry smartphones HELP! problems with text messaging? for blackberry bold 9900

    I just got the phone today and I have a problem!

    On text messaging, I try type but it comes up with a long, narrow bar instead of a rectangular shape, and I don't see what I'm typing!

    Then I go back and I CAN see, but it goes back!

    I can't delete texts and I can't see all of the messages with each person.

    AND. My Network DOESN'T work?

    Help, please!

    Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

  • Images of text may not of blackBerry Smartphones

    This new 9350 curve of love. Coming from a droid to Samsung Galaxy S, it's such an improvement.

    The curve is fine except that I can't send a picture in a text.

    I can email them, send to Twitter and Facebook but no texting.

    All text without images work fine. It is kind of a big deal for me as I do a lot.

    Any ideas?

    Sprint is the carrier. I have the plan.

    Thank you

    Hello and welcome to the community!

    I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    I hope that will move things again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile provider to support formal... "Everything" is a marketing term, not something technical on what services you actually have of them (not all the "Everything" plans are created equal!). And, if you pay them for this service, they are not of it.

    Good luck!

  • Texts of send fine blackBerry Smartphones, but do not...

    I am able to send text messages and others get them almost instantly, but when they send me a room it takes a long time, or doesn't come at all in. Also, if I do get one, it still says "not found", and I have to get it back. Can I do to solve this problem? Thank you

    PIN messages are a message from BlackBerry to BlackBerry. If you go to Options | Status you will find the identification number of the device. So if you are in the Messages, click the menu button, you can select PIN compose and type to PIN someone else to send them a message.

    I don't know which operator you but not your signal show as EDGE, 1 X, or something else?

    Try re-registering your device. Go to Options | Advanced options | Host routing table. Select the "BOLD" entry, click on the menu button and choose to register now. See if you get an email of record. Subsequently, reset the device once more.

  • Message icon missing blackBerry Smartphones

    I have the blackberry curve 8520 and the icon envelope message from the homepage has disappeared. I always get new warning messages, but there is no envelope icon to navigate when you switch on the phone. Any ideas?

    Hi and welcome to the Forums!

    Hide you? Try to activate "Show all" to see.

    Did you move it? Try searching all the folders (for example, Applications, downloads, etc.) to see. Make sure you have "Show all" active there as well.

    Have you installed a new theme? Those who can hide things away.

    If all those who fail, then I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone

  • Message from yahoo blackBerry Smartphones Incorrect password

    I get a message on my blackberry that my yahoo password is incorrect and I want to upgrade now. When I click on Yes and update it makes no difference. At the same time, I continue to receive e-mail messages that there was a sign in the attempt of an unknown source, which I suppose is my blackberry.

    I removed the hub app and reinstalled without success. All ideas

    Yahoo! recently admitted a data breach that occurred back in 2014. Thanks Yahoo for the notice in good time! They recently reset the passwords on multiple accounts. Have you tried to connect from an ordinary web browser and set a new password?

  • Is it possible to retrieve text messages deleted from blackberry to blackBerry smartphones?

    My name is Leena and I deleted a message by mistake, anyone know if it can be recovered?

    Only if you have a return to the top of the unit while the deleted message is on your BlackBerry and before it has been removed.

  • Watch is not in the menu text, but that email in the menu Send Messages MMS for blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

    I recently got my new Bold 9780 and did not restore from previous BB, I tucked everything manually. Front on my 9700 when I received a MMS it would appear under my menu text as an MMS. Now, on the 9780 with OS 6, when I receive a MMS - photo, text, photo, etc., it is in my email [email protected]. I even tried to send to friends who put them on the same network as me as a MMS, but if I send MMS even to me it comes as an email. My provider (TELUS) supports MMS for this phone, but it doesn't seem to work as an MMS.

    No matter what I try it will not come as a MMS, but rather e-mail [email protected] that said "You have received a Message from a Telus phone" and when I open it the image is there as my phone does not allow as an MMS.

    I wiped and reinstalled the software, deleted and resent service books and passed through the application loader to ensure that I have the most recent Basic programs.

    Has anyone ever seen cela or have any idea of what I can try to remedy this? Im going nuts.

    I managed to solve the problem by getting my carrier to replace the SIM card. Oddly enough, it worked.

  • Text Message problem classic blackBerry

    Since the upgrade to 10.3.1 Classic BB when I text it is getting hung up and lately was displaying the error message "unable to save the message.  No matter how I go in the text that is to say through contacts, the hub.  What is this problem being fixed?  I have gift: "t want to lose all my messages.  E-mail seems to work very well.

    Thank you

    If this problem has been resolved, (I think) as less this far, my SMS had no other gel.  The level of the OS I use is the BlackBerry 10 version 10.3.1.1865 OS 10.3.1.2708 software.  It appeared that FAU contact was to have the most problems with gel when texting.  It was a very large text file.  I couldn't even copy the cat and it would freeze so I finished the cat and deleted.  Now when I text it is not frozen and is working a bit faster.

    Now, the thing is that I was not able to customize my ringtones with specific contacts I wanted.  I wrote about this in this blog a number of months as well as problems of double SMS language.  The new 10.3.1.1865 update fixed the double language of SMS.  Since I deleted this cat, my custom ringtones are busy for my contacts. YES!

    Don't really know for sure, I think that initial installation and transfer from my old phone to my new one had corrupted the file or something has not loaded right and this is why ringtones did not work and he was getting hung up in SMS.

    I hope that this issure has been resolved.  So far so good!

  • BlackBerry Z10 text message problem with BlackBerry Z10 - insulation, inadmissible, not shipping

    Having a few texts from major problems.  Sometimes when I touch on a contact, I send SMS it takes about 20-30 seconds for the key board and the cursor to arrive.  When you type, it takes 20-30 seconds for the next typing.  When I finally have the ready message, it will take 30 to 60 seconds to send... or I get an alert "failed to save the message.  I rebooted and tried to take the battery off-don't... no luck.

    This problem occurred intermittently for the last few months, but sometimes for an hour or two.  Currently, it has been almost 24 hours.  I'm getting very, very tired of these problems with this phone.  I've been a BB user for 7 years and will visit with someone else I'm frustrated that.

    However, my BBM works very well.

    Hello

    So, she was always like that? Or is this new behavior? If new, what happened just before the behavior started? An update of a certain type? A new application? Physically removed or damaged? Something else?

    Also, sometimes the OS itself just is damaged and a clean OS refill can be useful for troubleshooting problems.

    Official methods, which will be controlled as to what exact OS versions are available:

    Non-official methods, which are cleaner and allow you to choose a version of the OS that maybe your carrier (or anyone they control your offers) delays in approval:

    Of course, before you start this, you want a good backup link, a manual copy of the memory of your device to your PC and complete documentation of your configuration (identification information of account, adding applications, configurations, etc.). Sometimes, restoring a backup returns unit corruption even, must be eliminated and reconfiguration from scratch can solve that.

    Be aware of the risks of 10.3.2 however... There are two things to worry about. First of all, be 100% sure that you know your BBID identifiers... If you do not, you may make your useless device to anyone, including yourself. Second, once you move to 10.3.2, you cannot fall back to 10.3.1 or earlier, by any medium (for example, even the unofficial AutoLoaders can not overcome this restriction anti-secours).

    Good luck!
