Text Message Forwarding lack of Mac OS and iOS 10

Am I missing something? I'm not able to find the text Message Forwarding since I updated my iPhone to iOS 10.0.1 6 and my MacBook Pro (retina, 13 inches, end 2013) for MacOS Sierra 10.12.

This is a feature that has been removed with iOS 10 and Sierra of MacOS? This is a feature that worked before when I was on iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan.

Now when I'm in my settings of the iPhone 6 > Messages, there is no option of text Message transmission.

And 15 minutes later with to do anything, text Message Forwarding is back as an option in my settings iOS 10 for iMessages now... ODD

I would like to set up my phone to be able to transfer the messages in the Messages. I'm sure that I'm connected to all accounts that I'm supposed to be connected to. In the Messages on my iPhone settings, I go to text Message transmission, and my Macbook Pro is listed. When I turn on the slider for iPhone, it asks me to enter the code on my iPhone, but there is no code to enter.

The code will come to your MBP, and then enter the phone (you control two devices, that you try to bind the poster).  See use of continuity to connect your iPhone, iPod touch and Mac - Apple Support

  • loops missing (difference between Mac OS and IOS)

I created with GarageBand for iOS on my iphone a song. I have used lines of life. I have uploaded to iCloud and loaded into the mac project. Here are missing multiple loop files (caf). I have several times (40 GB) loop files loaded and indexed, the files are still missing. How can I get the missing files?

Download GarageBand iOS for your Mac in iTunes. In iTunes, Ctrl + click or right-click on the application and select "show in Finder".  Now open the package by ctrl-clicking ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications/GarageBand 2.1/Payload/MobileGarageBand.app

and selecting view the contents of the package.

In the window that opens, find the folder Library.bundle, ctrl-click, select again to show the contents of the package, open "Audio", then AppleLoops:

    ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications/GarageBand 2.1/Payload/MobileGarageBand.app/Library.bundle/Audio/Apple loops.

Install this package of loops in your user library folder: ~/Library/Audio/Apple Loops loops/User /.

Since the upgrade my MBP and iPhone, iPad to Sierra/iOS10 respectively, all three devices ask me to return my password in Yahoo account on a daily basis or any other day.  My password is brand new and valid (please, not Yahoo, laughing, it is account 15 year and liked) and is accepted immediately, although it is considered a new sign in and I get the corresponding alert in all of my email accounts.  I'm just sick of constantly having to enter it.  Any ideas?

  • No text Message transmission code?

I did everything that made the majority of the community who have had the same problems that I have right now: toggle imessage, restart the mac and iPhone, reset the network settings, check your emails, etc., but none of them worked for me so that I can have my messages to my Mac.

Someone can explain it please if I am doing something wrong or have other work around that because I can't get an activation code pop up on my Mac at all.

  • Find my iPhone text message phishing fraud? - and attention!

I suspect that the found your iPhone SMS was a phishing fraud to try to get the Apple ID and password. My friend lost his iPhone in Europe. He received a text message that the phone was found and a link to connect to Apple to see its location. I've connected separately, don't use only not this link and saw that my iPhone had no record of the phone that appear anywhere. Don't you think I'm not mistaken? Has anyone else seen elsewhere? Be careful out there.

Yes, it's a fairly common scam.

  • My phone calls come in the form of text messages and use the tone of the message text and not ringing.

My phone calls on my iPhone 5 c pass as text messages and the sound message is used and not the ringing of a phone call.

Calls can only come in the form of text messages. Go to settings > sounds and make sure you have the right tone selected.

  • text messages on macbook

I can't deactivate the reception of texts on my macbook air or pro.  They materialize even if I'm not near the computer?  The text can be seen when someone else connects to computers under a different log in?

If by 'texts' you mean literally SMS messages sent to your cellular carrier's network (and), you can disable those on your iPhone in settings > Messages > text Message Forwarding > (turn off your Mac).

  • transfer text messages

    Hi all

I just got an iPhone SE. I have the people (iMessage and SMS) message on my Macbook and my iPhone, but since I have this phone, text (NO iMessage) messages sync on my laptop and the phone. If I have any messages anyone of my laptop, it starts a new conversation on my phone and vice versa. (What's a sense? It looks like I'll have a long talk with myself, or someone is messaging me without the answer.)

I know it has to do with the transmission of text Message, so I'll try to set up on my phone. There are two options on my phone: my macbook and my phone and the macbook option is checked (green). I'm checking off my iPhone, so I click on it, and it gives me the ' enter the code shown on your iPhone-iPhone text messages also be sent and received on a "My iPhone '." "pop-up.

However, I do not get any code.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!!

    Hi emelvee,

Thank you for coming to us in Apple Support communities for support. I am pleased to provide you with resources to help get your SMS sending works again.

To start, make sure that you have enabled the options mentioned in this article:

Continuity of use to connect your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Mac

On your iPhone, go to settings > Messages > Send and receive. Add a control to both your phone number and email address. Then go to settings > Messages > text Message Forwarding and activate the device or devices that you want to transfer the messages.

Note that the list of devices here is for devices other than the one you are using. This means that if you see another iPhone listed in SMS forwarding, you're probably connected to your Apple ID on another iPhone. That would explain why you do not see the code they ask you on your iPhone.

If you are still experiencing problems with sending/receiving SMS on both devices after confirmation that it can help reconnect the two devices for your Apple for message ID. To do this on your iPhone:

Open one session with another Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    1. Tap Settings > Messages.
    2. Tap, send and receive.
    3. Enter your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.

    On your MacBook Pro:

    1. Open messages
    2. In the menu bar to open your Messages > Preferences > accounts
    3. Choose your Apple ID on the left
    4. Click sign out

Once you're disconnected in these two places, go ahead and sign at the same time in the same place, then configure your SMS transfer using the aforementioned article, or this one:

Messages (El Capitan): Get and send SMS messages

I hope you have a great rest of your day! See you soon.

  • Remove the transmission of Messages/Text Message

An old and damaged iPad (I own is more) still appears in settings/Messages/Text Message Forwarding >

It is disabled (the green dot is hidden).

How do I remove it from the list?

The device has been removed from 'My Profile support'

I tried to go to iCloud.com then settings. There was only a single iPad listed (a new one)

    Thank you!

You can try the settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This sets all your back to factory default settings. But that seems to be creating a lot of extra work for you just delete something that isn't really a problem.

  • Text message for Apple Phone No

Hello, I used to be able to send SMS with my iPad Air2 to non-Apple phone when my iPad was connected to a WIFI network.

Recently, I changed to an iPad Pro and this feature doesn't seem to work.

I did a montage on the Air iPad I did on the iPad Pro or is something that no longer works?

My phone is an iPhone 6s.

    Thank you

On your iPhone, go to settings > Messages > text Message Forwarding and set up your new iPad.

    Hi, plumberboy58.

    Please visit Apple support communities.

I understand that you have a problem with the selection of talk.  Let's start by making sure that talk of selection is always enabled in settings > general > accessibility > speech.

    Talk about selection

If talk about selection doesn't always show when you select a text message, forces all applications to close and restart your iPhone.

Force an app to close the iOS
