  I was recently on my computer and running windows 7 with happiness and problem free, until I downloaded a file from the internet. When I opened it, windows asked me if I want to allow this program allow changes. However, there is the rub. It freezes for about 2 minutes and then decides to return to normal, free for me to return to work and navigation. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning.
