• I don't know how to change the size and quality of the text on the screen on Windows 7

  I just installed a new Windows 7 but I don't know how to change the size and quality of the text on the screen.  I tried all the things normal, resolution, size of icons, dpi etc but nothing gives me what I want.  The text in clear 'wonderful' thing is just terrible.  When I go through the 4 steps I see no text boxes which make the text nothing better.  All options are terrible, so the result on screen is too terrible.  When I do any huge I do not get a full screen of things - view the Start button disappears or I did not closing small cross at the top - of the suggestions to inprove the situation?  I must mention that my screen/monitor is 2006 - I need to buy a new one?  How much is this Windows 7 is going to cost me, or maybe I should go back to XP!

  I sincerely thank all you smart "technicians" for all the answers you always gave myself and all others who ask questions.  I'm not too smart with all this new technology as I fell into it very late.  I am now in my 60s and only started using a pc when I was over 50 years so...  In any case, I asked a question about the size of screen resolution and text and received much good advice from all that you guys.  I had recently changed in XP to Windows 7.  However, the bit of advice that I was given in 'Cyberking' here at the Portugal had set the resolution of the screen, the advanced settings, 75 to 60 Hertz Monitor tab.  Very basic, and the first question asked the technician (Lady) was "what size is your screen?  Naturally as a smaller screen that any 'techno' would be considered dead aid, solving the problem was simple and straightforward without me having to stretch my knowledge and my skills by downloading all programes weird (to me) or do the funny stuff in the bios or something else.  I send this comment to you for you to realize that the simple solution is not always bad and maybe we should go for the easiest first and then work up to the more difficult ones.

  Just for you all to see - now my screen resolution is perfect, the text on the screen is clear and legible without difficulty, even though the size of text and icon is small.  Clarity is all!

• How to move text on the screen?

  I can type the text in the little boxes when place the text on the screen (not the titles developed - just place the text on the screen after hitting the "T" key).  The box is difficult to work, and I did not understand how simply MOVE it to a different area of the screen.  Is this possible?  I can't just click and drag it.  And why the cursor looks like this little arrow pointing to?  And why the box to keep changing shape on me, etc.. ?  Someone else has a lot of trouble with this?

  Here is a glance at the Titler Panel, with one selected area of text (visible Bounding Box) and ready to be moved. Pre 4.0 it's with but a few exceptions, will look the same.

  Hello, I have problems with Firefox render wrong text and other graphical problems, regardless of hardware acceleration.

  With hardware acceleration on, I have problems with "ghost text cursors" appearing in various parts of the interface, more particularly in the tabs next to the X button on each tab, but also the other sections of the interface as well. The text is returned to the appropriate thickness, but in some cases flashes back of fixes too thin (see below / stop) in sync with the speed of blinking text cursors.

  With disabled hardware acceleration, I have problems where the text in menus and Web pages is made too thin, making it extremely difficult to see. Issues and artifacts flashing disappeared, however.

  I use a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti with the latest version of the driver (344,48).

  This only started happening around 33.0 version, maybe an earlier version (not 100% sure). I really want to look for and choose between what a crappy experience I'd rather have. I just want to how he used to, nice and clean and readable text. What can try to remedy?

  I do not see where you said you tried to change the resolution.  You have changed the DPI, but it's different than to change the resolution (although can be connected to ALSO change the resolution.)

  The resolution is not independent - that is when you change the resolution of the screen of the user, it is on this size for all users of the computer.  Your original problem was:

  This means that you are using a large non-ecran on a screen resolution and screen is allowing it to fill the entire screen.

  You say you have the AOC 2219V1 monitor)<-- linked="" to="" there)="" and="" according="" to="" the="" specifications="" on="" that="" web="" page,="" the="" resolution="" you="" want="" to="" set="" the="" monitor="" at="" is:="" 1680="" x="" 1050="" @="">

  So, in your case, if you have the correct driver for your video card installed * and * says video card supports widescreen resolutions (what is a new monitor?) then you should...

  1.	Open display in Control Panel.
  2.	On the tab settings in the screen resolution, drag the slider to the right until it shows the parameters of selection to 1680 x 1050, and then click apply.
  3.	When you are prompted to apply the settings, click OK. Your screen becomes black for a moment.
  4.	Once your screen resolution changes, you have 15 seconds to confirm the change. Click Yes to confirm the change. Click No or do nothing to return to your previous configuration.

  Now - if you do not have the choice of 1680 x 1050, it is a new monitor and you have the latest driver for your video - card, then probably your video card was not made to support screen widescreen resolutions.

  My apologies: fault a comma (and everyone leaves out commas these days), I missed your comment about what is the same issue for Linux.  Just read too fast; no excuse.

  You are away until a stream of fast moving without means of transport.

  Otherwise, it sounds really not like it's material.

  Double check:

  • Cold start, immediately start tapping on F10 to enter the BIOS - if the problem is present in the BIOS, then the problem is in the hardware level.
  • If you have the means to connect a VGA monitor, and the image is good on the external monitor, then the screen or cable is bad.
  • If the image on the external monitor is the same as on your laptop, then the video card itself is bad OR not has no welding holding to the motherboard.

  • You have the option to repair the laptop yourself, and that includes to find out exactly what is wrong with it AND not break anything else in the process.
  • You can send it to repair,

  For text prediction, you must enable the tablet pc options.

  To do this, go to the control panel. Select programs. In the left pane, select turn windows features turn on or off. Scroll for Tablet PC components and to activate, make sure that the box is checked.

• The horizontal lines of the screen problems

  Hello

  Since I use Windows 7 X 64 on my T500 2241, I have problems with many small horizontal lines on the screen. The same one I have on an external monitor. With Win XP 32 bit, I never had such problems on this computer.

  May that this problem is related to the video driver. I use: Intel Mobile 4 Series express chipset driver version 8.15.10.2302. I had the latest bios update for my computer.

  Nothing helps. Y at - there a better idea?

  Come to grips with the SW3 - already had a Martian passport which seemed much more user firendly. Can read emails I receive from google fine. When I receive a text on the game, I get a notification that I received a text but am not able to open other than on the phone (which goes against one of my main reasons to get the watch) any help would be appreciated.

  Yes, 1 message is very much in the stock application, but more that you need to see them on the phone. On the other hand gmail, hangouts etc. works as said Jean-Claude.

  What version of SQL * more you use?

  In very old versions of SQL * Plus, the command

  SET   DOCUMENT   OFF
  

  stop posting comments like that.

  SET   DOCUMENT   ON
  

  is the default value.

  In later versions of SQL *, the default is OFF, and the command PUT the DOCUMENT does nothing (in other words, it does not raise an error, and it does not change the fact that the comments of the oblique-star bar are not displayed).

  If you really want something like that to show, then use the command PROMPT.

  Your old version of SQL * Plus can continue to work with the new database. For example, you can use a database of Oracle 10.2 with SQL * Plus 8.0 (However some new features allowed by the database may not work.)
