  • error code while trying to open the photos include JPEG and BMP files: C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\My Documents\My Pictures\img005.jpg is not a valid Win32 application

I withdrew just a very good old scanner which apparently couldn't handle the recent installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2 or 3, and went with a rather nice Epson V330 Photo.   I uninstalled all old software, want my images to JPEG and BMP to open in Adobe PhotoShop Elements 8 for editing and development.  It is my job and my hobby and means of photography technique.  I reinstalled the scanner by removing the Arcsoft software with which it has been furnished, which is not really suitable for what I do.

Now, I can not open JPEG in PhotoShop Elements 8.0 and here I get the error message:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\My Documents\My Pictures\img005.jpg is not a valid Win32 application

It seems to have something to do with the hack with the folder options after that I spilled the Arcsoft as any kind of primary program.

BUT I have to open JPEG files, and it MUST be in PhotoShop Elements 8, I bought.  I can see, overview and could open to the limited capacity of some of the ArcSoft stuff, but I'm not interested in distance using that.

How can I get these files/folders to open in something useful?  I was able to create JPEG on the new scanner, but now my computer opens not those or 'old' of my files.   See the warning message.

I'm trying to uninstall all the software now and do not reinstall the stuff of Arcsoft, which would not be useful for me in any setting.   But I do not think that this will be the solution, as my computer can not open these key files in PhotoShop Elements 8.0.

I think it's something I did during the passage, but I did system restore and NO RESULT.  NONE!

If you open a directory of photos and go to the thumbnail view in Explorer, they display the thumbnails correctly?

I think that you need to reset the file association for programs that open the image files.  Try a right-click on a jpeg file and go to properties and click on the button to edit, and then designate PS elements 8 as the top program open with, and then see if it works very well.

You can also check the settings in the registry for the types of image files.  Seewww.oehelp.com/noimg.aspx , which deals with a related issue.

I get this error message whenever I try to open a Word of my email document

    Hello

1 are there any changes or updates made on the computer?

    2. not the problem only occurs for a specific document or all documents?

    3. are you able to open documents saved on the computer without any error message?

4 are you facing this problem to a particular email?

    Method 1:

I suggest that you try to download and save the document on your computer and then try to open it and check if it opens.

    Method 2:

You can try to create a new user profile and check if the problem persists.

To create a new profile, you must first create a new user account. When the account is created, a profile will also be created.

    Reference:

    Create a user profile.

    Method 3:

Also start a Microsoft security online on the computer Scanner and check.

Note: the data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

  • Error "CD C:/users/Jamie/Desktop/virtual/Virtual CD Manager.exe Manager is not a valid Win32 application".

Original title: MSG of ERROR for windows.exe, Vista 32-bit operating system

MSG reads as FOLLOWS: "C: / users/Jamie/Desktop/Virtual CD Manager/Virtual CD Manager.exe is not a valid Win32 application"... What that means?

    Hello jesholder,

If you try to run a program that is not designed for your version of Windows, you can get this error. Although many old programs designed to work in older versions of Windows will work with new versions of Windows, unfortunately, not all programs will not work.

    • If the program is an MS-DOS program more former start program or Windows, you can get this error.

    • If the program is designed for a 64-bit version of Windows and you are running in a 32-bit version of Windows, it will not work and generate this error.

I wasn't able to check through the Windows Vista Compatibility Center if Virtual CD Manager is compatible with Windows Vista or not.
You will need to check with your software vendor to see if it is compatible, or if there is a updated version that will work with Windows Vista.

If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

    Use the following steps:

    (1) right click on the program

    2) click Properties

    3) click on the Compatibility tab

    (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP or other system that the program has been run successfully operating.

    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

    Marilyn

Luckilly I have an iphone so managed to get on internet forums and find a solution which was to use a command in cmd.exe that fixed the problem.

The only thing is now that I have a very basic windows Classic theme that when I try to change to Vista in the theme settings it gives the message:
    * "the theme could not load. %1 is not a valid win32 application. "

Any help and step by step for the user base would be much appreciated! I guess it can't be that bad since Windows is still running and working properly!

    Thank you

    Hi tarmacsnortingmonster,

That is the reason why I n t play with any 3rd themes part because I always read from time to time on various problems after installation. So I don't use Windows themes pre-installed and don t have problems.

In any case, I think you should try a system restore to an earlier point before installing this theme.
I hope this helps if not it is time to reinstall Windows, I think that :(

  • Fallout trilogy > problem download > Fallout (E :) > E: / is not a valid Win32 Application.)

I just got the trilogy Fallout game for Christmas. I was downloading on my Windows XP laptop. I jumped the drive and nothing happened. I checked the computer room to look for the removable disk, I found Fallout (E :) and clicked on it, it normally start the Setup and let the installation program to download, then install, so allow me to play the game.)

But when I clicked on what came was "E: / is not a valid Win32 Application."

I assume that Win32 is Windows XP? And on the game, it says it requires OS: Win90/2000/XP with DirectX 7.0 or later/Vista version.

I just got my laptop completely wipe clean and load Windows XP on it to him. He used to have Windows Vista Home Basic, the Fallout 1 game, I used to have downloaded without problem. Fallout trilogy has 1 Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.

If you can please tell me how I can download this soon so I can play the game, I'm pretty frustrated and upset because my cousin has spent hours looking for this game, and it was the last available at the 5th GameStop he went to.

    Hello

Here is some information that may be beneficial to get a resolution to your inquiry.

If you had installed Fallout3 mode "Run As Amin" and will still have problems.  Uninstallation of Fallout 3.  Install the following Microsoft DirectXhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3 and that reinstall Fallout 3, mode 'run as administrator '.

Do not install the latest patch yet.  Run Fallout3.  If it works well, do a system restore point.  Then install the latest patch.

In addition, when a right click on the .exe file, it should be a 'compatibility' tab, if necessary, please try to install the .exe file in Windows XP SP2.  I hope that this information is beneficial.

I think that you have a corrupted download. If you have downloaded the 10.0.1 version (the default file name is NI_Multisim_Analog_Devices_Edition_10_0_1.exe), the MD5 sum should be 3c49b3ef99ec86ef6c013268405bcaa3

I don't know why IE8 has caused me problems.
