  Do yourself a favor. After your next relocation and after you get it until you're happy with it (install SP3 and all subsequent security patches, install all the programs that you use regularly, install a good antivirus, install the latest versions of Adobe Flash and Java, etc.), make an image of your hard drive. This way you will EVER need to reinstall your OS again! Acronis and Paragon are good programs. DriveImageXML is a good gift (but doesn't have as many features as imaging programs paid).

  About the General slowness, here are the usual causes:

  1. malware (malware). You need to rule out first! This page has excellent information:

  Hello, generally, I read until I have my answer, but I can't so I think I give it a try. Somehow I screwed things up with my computer. My main complaint is that I have something running that takes a lot of memory according to the Task Manager. My fan runs often, 1-1/2 minute stop time, pop up messages telling me to stop then reload IE9 sp2. I found some stuff on my event viewer, but I can't seem to cross the first error which is something on my bios. I go to the dell website to try to update with a flash of the bios but note comes up saying that my computer does not accept the flash. I have other issues in both event viewer, but can't remember them that I can't get beyond the the bios issue. The computer is a Dell Studio 1737 plenty of core duo memory 4 MB with plenty of space on hard drive and it seems to do well but all the * running in the background makes it run hot so the fan. All I want to do is get a scan for my installed bios system and install an updated version. I am not able to do at Dell. Maybe they want me to pay to support or something. I did all the FixIt of ms, I ran three different registry cleaners, I ran three viruses different scans, nothing. I've loaded my vista dell disk and tried to recover or repair and cannot do it either. I notice weird things with ie. I've done several downloads for versions 32 and 64 bit, to do the right thing.   Go step by step by step and test.

  1. power off the router.

  Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while. Plug it in, back to the wall. Turn on the router.

  I'm familiar enough with FCPro X (using the latest version 10.2.3) but I saw something for this, I don't really want.

  I hope I'm wrong!  That's why I write here

  When we are editing in a library, FCPro is automatic backup library every 10 or 15 minutes or more. (Don't know how many times, but not important here.)

  It's a good idea that Apple did this.  Always nice to have automatically saved versions.

  But what I found, is if we said, 10 different projects, we are working on--which means 10 different libraries on our hard drive FCPro creates these libraries for backup automatically on all 10 libraries!  Even if we have not opened a library for 6 months, it still gets automatic backups!

  Sometimes the backup of the library can be 30meg, or so, if we are changing for 3 hours - find us in each of the 10 libraries there are several automatic backups created - even you of course, nothing has changed in the library!  Maybe 8 of the 10 have not yet opened and yet in the "Final Cut Backups" folder, there will be a few hundred meg of backups automatically: of course it must, because backups are in libraries, we haven't yet opened!

  I know not how to disable this feature - so FCPro stops auto - and we can do separately in each library - but that's a lot of extra work, remembering that libraries are "automatically backup" and which are not.

  I guess I want to come is that we would like FCPro continue to automatically back up the libraries that we change in French - but I'm correct that it also backs up the libraries that we don't even open using hundreds of megs of useless data.

  All I want is the feature of works as is, but only when opening a library - NOT in others who have not been affected.

  I am writing to be sure I understand it.  This doesn't seem to be the case?  Is there a way to tell FCPro (not for each library separately) only to make automatic backups in I work in libraries?

  Thank you for reading this... what I hope I am WRONG!  And there is a workaround or something?  It's just a nuisance to have to remember to turn on all the automatic backups on 'OFF' of each library - but then activate it when you work on 1 or 2 - and then turn them off again.

  All 10 libraries appear in the library list? If they are, why not close those that you don't need for this session?

  That said, I never had what you describe. Where these libraries are stored? Is the drive (or drives) in the OS X Extended (journaled) format?

• iTunes Movie downloads that are missing work

  I use the latest version of iTunes and that you ran into this new problem: two movies that I bought - a real purchase and rental - downloaded and instead of display the work (poster / cache 'dvd') he displayed a "screengrab" of the film in its place.   I understand that you are away from the work of two films that you recently purchased on the iTunes Store.  You have updated to the latest version of iTunes (12.4 v)?  The first thing I would say is right-click on one of the movies you have downloaded to your iTunes library.  Click on 'get info '.  Do you see the work tab of the work?  If this is not the case, click on the "Add a picture" button on the left hand side.  Let us know if this solves the problem for you.

  I'm under iPhoto 9 on my iMac.  I love the 'batch change option' for labelling of a bunch of photos at the same time, all with the same title.  I selected by mistake ALL my photos to add a title instead of the 11 photos I wanted to select.  When I realized the error, I have selected ALL once again, went to "Batch change" and removed the title that I had done.  Now I find myself with no title on the photos I had created titles for weeks or months.  Is it possible to recover?

  Is that a reason that they got rid of 'Batch Change?'
