  I have a problem that only occurs during the closing down. When I select Shut Down I soon get a pop up that says... the application could not start correctly (0xc0000142) click on OK to close the application. window label is cmd.exe. Whether I click on the window, closing down product and eventually after say 30 seconds the alarm disappears. clicking on the alert simply displays another alert. This only occurs during the closing down. Also, I have no problem to launch cmd.exe during the normal operation, or any other program running in the command window. I read a few posts but don't see anything exactly like this, what happens during closing down.

  Please check if you are facing the same question when working in safe mode.
  a. restart your computer.
  b. when the computer starts, you will see your computer hardware are listed. When you see this information begins to tap the F8 on your keyboard key repeatedly until you are presented with the screen Windows 7 Advanced Startup Options.
  c. using the arrow keys, select the desired option of Mode without failure.
  d. press the Enter key on your keyboard to boot mode safe mode of Windows 7 with networking.
  e. when Windows starts, use check and Internet explore if the problem persists.

  I'm on a 64-bit Windows 7 Pro computer and just upgraded to the most recent Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.  When I open a PDF file a window opens saying "the application could not start (0xc0000005).  Click OK to close this application"I click OK and the window opens up again about three or four times before it finally stopped.  My PDF file is then visible.  This is driving me crazy!  I tried to use "Repair Installation" in the Menu Help, but it has no effect.  I downloaded and installed the latest update - and this miserable message keeps popping up!  Before you do a system restore to revert to the previous version, can someone please tell me how to solve this problem?  Thank you very much.

  There might be a chance of the previous version left overs. Try uninstalling Acrobat using cleaning tool: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html

  Then try to reinstall it and then see if that solves the problem.

  Sometimes, this error can be caused by trying to install a software that is not compatible with Windows 7.
  You can try the following methods:

  If the program is not compatible, then you try to install and run the program in compatibility mode.

  Use the following steps:

  (1) right click on the program

  2) click Properties

  3) click on the Compatibility tab

  (4) select run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or other operating system, the program has been run successfully.

  I have the above error, I don't use host character for a very long time (since Preview 3), so I don't know when or what exactly caused the problem... all other adobe software work fine (AE, Pr, Ps,...)

  • You have updated to the latest version of After Effects (just released, 13.8.1)? This phenomenon occurs in part 4?
  • Have you tried logging on and creative cloud back to see if that helps?
  • Have you tried to uninstall/reinstall AE to see if that helps?

  I get this error after I entered my password to connect. Then the screen goes black. I can hit ctrl-alt-del to get the menu, but no matter what link I click I get the same error code. I use the 32-bit version of Windows 7.

  If you use a 64-bit version of Windows, you also need to place the .dll file in

  If you have 64-bit windows then no problem you just download "msvcr100.dll" in 32 bit 64 bit not only then stick two directories mentioned above.

  I have a problem with Captivate 6 installation on Windows Server 2008 R2. I have 2 different scenarios where I tested it, but the result is the same.

  1. I used AMEE (Application Manager Enterprise 3.1) to create the installation of the deployment via SCCM 2012 Package.

  Note that the current package works fine on Windows 7 (x 86 and x 64), but not on 2008 R2 error after I tried to launch the Captivate.exe application.

  The error indicates that there is a missing file: libwinpthread - 1.dll and if I copy and made a recording of the present. DLL file then he sends another error saying: on-demand failed to start correctly (0xc000007b) so he won't ever let me launch the application.

  2 now, if I install the package directly from the Original sources (CD) without creating any package AMEE after completing the installation, I have always the same error about the missing DLL file.

  Is there a fix or workaround to install 6 Captivate on Win2008 R2?

  Bear w / me... the beginning is a bit long...

  My old computer died a slow and painful death. I finally could not stand the constant crashes and recoveries, so I sprung for a new Win 7 box, triple-nasty, double-hang down. I got a legal copy of LR 3.3 on the old computer and a LOT of other things... I took out the old drive C: and installed in the new box. All my LR catalogs and pix was in the F: drive on the old box, but I have in vain by the way... this drive he caused the new BIOS or OS crash after POST (with a few strange video ramifications), so I had a guy copy such things in a folder on the C: drive. I will get a new drive and transfer at the latest.

  The new box is running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a processor Core i7 - 2600 K 3.4 GHz quad-core. I think that the 64-bit version of LR 3.4 is a failure... but not sure?

  During the time that I'm futzing with computers, Adobe Releases 3,4.

  My problem is how to get LR 3.4 installed on my new box?

  I got my serial number (but never had enough away from using it). I tried to download 3.4 twice, using Chrome and IE. It seems to work. I install it... seems to work. I try to run it... get an error:

  I tried calling Adobe, but the call never crossed. I tried a dozen sites for more help, but all I found was something enigmatic on:

  Another site suggested its replacement by amtlib.dll to amtlib64.dll, and then rename to be amtlib.dll. I looked for these files and only found one amtlib.dll associated with PSE9... none is related to LR3.4! Looked at on both the startup of new and old discs. NADA!
