  I have a new computer with Vista.
  In 'Computer', it shows the drive as being:
  Local disk (g)
  37.3 GB free of 181 GB
  It shows the directories but think that the folders are empty.

  The drive is a XP computer.

  OK, time to feel stupid. It was a problem of USB Port on the Vista machine.

• Fonts on the new BBC News page are distorted

  Recently, the BBC revamped its news pages. Seen on a desktop PC with a screen resolution forced down to the equivalent of 1 366 x 768 fonts small look sharp.

  However, if I find the same page on a laptop with a resolution of 1366 x 768 fonts are deformed and broken. I combined two screenshots to show the problem.

  I tried to download an image, but the hourglass just kept turning. I checked the font for both PC settings are that they are identical. These are the Visual settings for Windows 7 on both computers.

  I tried to search to see if others have reported the problems I see, but cannot find anything. I'm puzzled as to why the BBCsite would look so bad. I hope you can help.

  From what I see, Freesans is not a downloaded but police that Firefox would need to find it on your system. If you see the Windows fonts folder (or Panel), see you there? I don't know how it could have got installed, but maybe it can be removed...

  In another thread, a method was proposed to substitute a locally installed font for that specified by a Web site. Is to apply a custom style rule (using the stylish extension or a file userContent.css) along these lines:

  I have not tested myself.

  1. what version of Windows operating system is installed on your computer?

  First of all, I suggest you click with the right button on the backup files and check the size of the file in the Properties window.

  Try to copy and paste the files to the computer and check if you are able to access the files.

  You can also check if the folders are hidden. If the folders are hidden, so you can view folders and check if you are able to access the data.

  1. press the ALT key on the keyboard in any Windows Explorer window to display the toolbar.
  2. click on tools, then Options of folders, and then on the view tab.
  3. then choose "show files and folders". After clicking OK, they appear with the other files.

  I see that you wonder if you need to replace the color cartridge when it is low. This printer is a printer AIO, therefore, you need to replace the ink cartridge when it becomes too weak to be able to resume printing. However, if you print mostly in black, you can configure a preset black only to print in black and white. This would help reduce the use of the color cartridges.

  NOTE: Composite black - for black and white images and photos, a mix of colors called 'composite black' can be used to achieve the quality significantly improved picture and soft gray tones that can be achieved with only black toner. For users who want to print images using just black toner, many HP printers color customer offer configurable options allowing the client to print using only black toner. For example, by selecting "print in grayscale" in the printer driver Specifies print using black ink only. • Subfolders are missing & folders are empty, but the properties display the full amount

  I had to restore my laptop to factory settings, but I didn't lose my music library & some other files. Then I copied to my hard drive external and placed in a folder. After the restoration, I opened my external hard drive to see some subfolders disappeared, and records that were there, it shows that they are empty.   @ Ton101 - I would like to clean the contacts on the cartridges and the printer to make sure the accumulation was not the cause of the problem you are having with the printer. Follow these steps to clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the product.

  In the past, I was able to print with cartridge black new xl size, although all colors are empty city black photo.

  There are a few things to check:

  • Make sure the paper type is set to plain paper.  If Auto is selected and is confused with the Photo paper paper or photo paper is selected only the color and photo cartridges will be used.  (The pigmented black ink cartridge is not compatible with photo paper).
  • Define advanced settings for printing in grayscale, black ink only.  Otherwise, the printer may by default using inks from color for chart areas, since this offers a better print quality due to the smaller droplets of ink color.
