The AVCHD Lite in PE7 file manipulation

After a lot of research and trial and error, I thought I would share what I found on this topic. It seems to be two ways to handle these clips without PE7 fall every time, even if the first is very tedious. If anyone can find a better way, please let me know?

Start by converting the HDV clips

1. transfer all the clips on the PC. You can use PE7 for it or the supplied Panasonic s/w. It seems that only the. MTS file is required

2 start a new project using the HDV 720 p implementation

3. import a clip lite AVCHD in copying from Windows folder in project widow.

4. go to the timeline and wait the video images appear entirely with the red line on the top.

5. render (slow down the process: > 5 hours for a clip on a 2.67 GHz Quad processor 01:30)

6. export (share) as a new PC file in a different folder as a MPEG file using HDV 720p25 preset file.

7. return to 3. For the next clip

Note: You can do more than 1 clip at a time but the clips more & more that the likeliest PE7 is to stop working.

Change the project

When you have all of the converted videos, start a new project by using the HDV 720 p settings, import your converted clips and change now!

Note it is a painful and long process even on a new PC with a Quad processor, but it works eventually.

Note to Self: next time, it may be preferable to use the Motion JPEG to record video on the TZ7. Set to HD, you get the same resolution AVCHD lite either 1280 x 720 at a rate of 30 frames per second. It could also give better results for the pan.

PS: You can also use the Panasonic PhotofunStudio HD edition to import the file and use their editor to delete the unwanted part of the clips. This could save time, but the numbering on the clips of Panasonic system is unusual.

Much faster method

You can use of Shedworx VoltaicHD to perform the conversion of WMA/Vor an AVI file. This seems to work quickly and simply, but you will cost $35. At low cost if you have a lot to do!

A more efficient solution is to use the free AVCHD Converter to convert AVCHD Lite in 1280 x 720 MPEG2 clips. It can batch convert lots of AVCHD Lite videos and free...

  • First Adobe elements 12 - export ready the chronology of the project, the AVCHD files in a separate folder for burning on Blu Ray disc with other software?

Hi, can anyone help please.  This is the first time I've used this forum.

I use the first 12 items, a PC, 64-bit, Windows 7, to high power.

Just started to hack AVCHD in this software.

I would like to know if it is possible to export topped with AVCHD files in a folder somewhere else (which were imported in the project calendar), so that I can burn AVCHD trimmed (not in the form of a 'project') of Blu Ray disc files (using another software that I know that works to burn video files to Blu Ray disc).

    Kathy

There is no export of Premiere Elements (any version) which will give you a file extensions .m2ts or. MTS. .M2ts and .mts are extensions of file that represents the container format that envelope the AVCHD video, and any audio compression file has.

The .mp4 should serve your purpose... destiny using the file to burn it to Blu - ray disc format on say Blu - ray, copy the disc Blu - ray and edition BDMV folder video file in the file/STREAM BDMV folder (which is a .m2ts file).

But what we could try (think it will work) to work around the problem

    1. export your Timeline with the publication + share/computer/AVCHD with presets = MP4 H.264 1920 x 1080 p 25.

    2. to the hard disk of the export of this mp4 saving location, then simply rename the mp4 to MTS or m2ts file extension.

If you send this file to burn it to the disc Blu - ray to Blu - ray disc format, double check that this person software supports import of .m2ts and. MTS.

Is the recipient of this emphasis on mts or m2ts file?

Please read and review, maybe try it like a mini series of tests.  Feel free to ask if you have any questions about the foregoing.

  • How to integrate properly into the AVCHD (.mts) cs5 files

My camera is SONY NX5. I closed a video in the AVCHD Format. Which is the best way to get this files in first cs5?

I mean new sequence, which is the best available predefined parameter in the dialog box. What should I select?

    Nick.

If you have copied all the map folder structure, you can use the media browser to navigate through the folder structure and it will automatically switch mode display of AVCHD. You can simply select some or all of the clips you want and drag them in the project Panel or directly in a sequence.

  • Why CVI have functions that duplicate the functions of ANSI C file handling (ex: Openfile)?

Why CVI have of file manipulation functions that seem to reproduce the functionality of the ANSI C functions?

Is there an advantage to using the CVI functions?

As the CVI was released (1987), until the ANSI-C standard is released (1989) maybe the question should be the other way around!

In those early days, CVI was supposed to be cross-platform, so it was logical to develop a set of libraries that operate in the same way across the different computers it was targeted at. These days, the focus seems to be primarily under Windows, so this philosophy at the beginning is a bit redundant, especially, as you say, with the widespread adoption of ANSI-C.

Personally, if there are similar functions in CVI, and ANSI, I'll go for the ANSI, whenever for portability of the reasons, but yet I write code in a number of different programming environments.

    (2) copy the AVCHD structure files in my HARD drive

Both methods provide the same wrong result.

Is it possible for prelude to use the field of custom name in the copy/transcoding process?

    HI -.

CS6 prelude is not supported for this type of name change.

Prelude CC 2014 this renaming of additional files to ingest options that allow you to specify the incremental number start. It still gives the possibility of obtaining this value of departure from existing metadata, but (it must be entered by you). It's a feature request good however and we are looking inside.

  • No audio with the AVCHD Clips imported in EP 11

I have the Premiere Elements v11.0 running on a computer, Windows 8. I've updated MOUS and no more updates are available.

The AVCHD video, I'm importing is full HD, PAL at 25 fps. The audio is 384 Kbps 6 channels with a sampling frequency of 48 kHz. I can import and edit these clips in the first elements V7.0 running on a Windows 7 PC with no problems. The project used settings are HDV 720.

With elements V11.0, audio is not imported that I ever try the project settings. There is no error message.

I have the latest version of Quick Time (7.7.4) installed, although QuickTime does not include the file. Windows Media Player it plays OK - video and audio. VLC media player it plays OK.

Is this a missing codec, a bug, or another problem?

    Suggestions please?

    Robsodav

Despite the issues to follow, I saw that you wrote

With elements V11.0, the audio is not imported that I ever try the project settings. There is no error message.

And no problems with audio in the first elements 7 Windows 7 64 bit.

I just want to go over your details so as not to take anything for granted.

What are the properties of your source media? What is the file extension? You say AVCHD Full HD, PAL at 25 fps. and you add the project used settings are HDV 720. Why?

The project preset is supposed to match the properties of your source media. From what you wrote, my read on this is that you

    AVCHD video compression 1920 x 1080 16:9 @ 25 (probably interlaced) frames per second.

If so, the project preset should be 1080i25 PAL AVCHD Full HD 5.1 channels.

    If it is 1920 x 1080 16:9 @ 25 fps progressive

then the the project preset should be PAL DSLR DLSR 1080p25 1080 p.

So what is the reason for defining the project preset for what you describe to the HDV 720 which I in 1280 x 720 @ 25 progressive frames per second?

What is your audio compression... Dolby Digital 5.1 channel or AAC 5.1 channel or other?

What camera brand model is this video with audio from a?

How do you get the audio video from the camera for first Elements11 timeline?

Hello, it's never happened before: computer hp laptop dv4, card ati graphics, dual-core 2.3 ghz, 8 GB of ram, the mts files camera canon avchd, windows 7 64 bit, maudio profire610 asio driver and interface

I built all kinds of things on this laptop with premium production 5.03 and never had a problem with images...

    Thanks in advance, d

Also the vlc player and zoom are there any other .mts file players out there?

The specifications of this laptop are far from edit the AVCHD material, only a dual core, AMD, very little graphics memory and a slow disk configuration, I guess than the minimum.  With the resolution of the screen, it does even not meet the minimum requirements for Adobe. The single drive 5400 RPM is less than the minimum needs, in short, it means underspecced for your editing needs.

  • Equipment for playback of the AVCHD of the EP 10 DVD

Just downloaded PE10.  Nice to see quick and flawless (up :-)) support for my Sony HDR SR7 .m2ts files.)

I saw the tutorial on the sharing of high-quality AVCHD on a normal DVD (not blueray).  This sounds good.

Which player of the DVD specification would be necessary to read the DVD on an HDTV?  I have a DVD player which is probably 5 years old.  It was before there was a bunch of HD stuff around, and while I don't really know what "upscaling" etc. is about new DVD players, I see in the stores, I'm sure that my DVD player has none of this.

Or do I need to buy a blueray player to play these types of DVD AVCHD/non-blueray created by PE10?

    Thanks for any help.

    Dave

Well, we got there in the end!  I'm overjoyed.  Thanks to all who helped.  I can finally enjoy my HD camcorder and share images of the way I've always wanted.

At the risk of extending this discussion, I will summarize what I did:

I have a Sony HDR - SR7E HD camcorder.  This device is a hard drive (as opposed to mini DVD or other).  The manual says that it records HD video in the AVCHD 1440 x 1080/50i format / audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 ch.  I live in France, so it's a PAL (as opposed to NTSC) device.

When I use the Sony software to take movies recorded off the unit, he wrote a number of .m2ts files in my hard drive.

Start APE10.  I chose the "PAL - HDD, memory Flash camcorders - HD 1080i 25 (50i)" preset.  Your may of course differ.

I added the .m2ts files to my project by selecting the tab 'Get media', "Files and folders").

Once the .m2ts in APE files, I simply dragged a block of them down on the timeline in the usual way.  I didn't put any transition, but I added a few landmarks from stage for the test.  I used about 10 minutes of video.

For the disc Menu, I used the model of 'Fun '.  This is one of the four that is provided, and it happens to say 'HD' on it, but don't know if it's significant (goes for test options menu later).

Then, I put a blank DVD-R disc (not Blueray) standard in my standard DVD burner (not Blueray).

In the "Sharing" tab, I clicked on the option 'drive '.  I chose the "AVCHD" option and click on burn.

When the burning was finished, I took the disc in the living room and put it in my new Sony BDP - S480 Blueray player.  This is related to my Sony Bravia HD TV via HDMI.

I hit play and was amazed!  I thought the quality of the TV is indistinguishable from that observed by playing directly from the camera into the TV via HDMI.

    Notes:

The Blueray player was not the bottom of the line of Sony, but it was only 129 euros, which means probably less than $100 in the United States.  Sony sells one here for 89 euros, so it must be REALLY cheap in the United States!

My tests and the results of others in this forum suggest you should limit the duration of your timeline to 25 minutes (about 4 GB) to ensure that all goes well when recording on a 4.7 GB disc.

Hope this can help someone.  With APE10, I suspect it's going to be a rush on the Blueray drives...

Thanks again to all.  A lot more to learn, so I don't know that I'll talk to you elsewhere in the forum!

    Dave

Elsewhere, Steve, I'm enjoying your tutorials at Muvipix.  Look forward to exploring more of your site.

  • Question about the size of a DVD file made?

    Hi all

I just finished my first home using Premiere Pro CS4 and Encore CS4 video. My source is a consumer HD camcorder. When I created the PP project, I chose the AVCHD format to keep the best possible quality. Yes Iimported files in PP, apply some transition effects and the title a bit. Then I sent the sequence again via dynamic links. When you create the project in again, I chose the Blu ray. I therefore created a menu and all the navigation, added a subtitle and background music. Initially, I wanted to created a DVD of my video to give the members of the family, so I'll drive created, select output DVD and make the video. Now, here's my problem: the created DVD folder is 7 GB, and my pictures are only 1h45min. I always thought that a single layer 4.7 GB could hold about 2 hours of video? My source in HD, but by selecting the DVD release, shouldn't she converted to SD and fit a 4.7 GB disc? What I am doing wrong?

    Thanks for your help.

    Bruno

You can change the transcoding settings, by default the transcoding settings are automatic which is for the best possible quality. Right-click on the media in the project Panel, and then select settings for transcoding. Change settings for transcoding DVD NTSC DV high quality 4 MB VBR 2 pass for transcoding. You will be able to check the change in disk space on disk under building Board info after transcoding. If there are still more than you must try with 4 MB or of poor quality.
