The Catalyst Control Center host application has stopped working

This message came with an update of Microsoft about April 2014. I am running:

HP ENVY Notebook PC m6

D5F64PA #ABG product name

8.1 Windows 64-bit

Map chart Intel(r) HD 4000 and AMD Radeon HD 7600M series

Please tell us how it can be solved for my setup. I have read other posts, but am looking for a current solution.

Have you tried all troubleshooting as of yet on this issue? My first suggestion would be to install the latest display drivers of AMD for laptop you.

    How to solve the CCC is not loading/opening at initialization.

    Scenario: the user tries to open/load the CCC through different methods, but it does not load. The problem may occur without any changes to the system or a Catalyst driver update or reinstall. This is issue mainly affects Windows 7 machines.

    Cause: possible corruption of the Windows Global Assembly Cache (GAC). Usually, this requires the user to format and reinstall Windows.

    Resolution: this solution has been tested - reproduced and resolved.

    Remove all the ATI through programs and features in Control Panel using the Manager to install Catalyst (GPC). Restart the system in safe mode and follow these steps:

    -Remove all ATI C:\programs files files and the C:\programs files (x 86)

    -Go to the C:\Windows\assembly and sort by "public key token. Locate the following key token public "90ba9c70f846762e" which is

    -associated with ATI. Usually only 2 entries. Remove 2 entries. Note: entries should be deleted (right click and select uninstall) since regular safe mode

    -mode may cause a permissions error. 2 entries appear only in the systems concerned by this issue. This means that you want the 2 inputs on systems where the CCC charges, the entries do not exist.

    -Close and restart normally.

    -Reinstall the ATI Catalyst package.

    That would happen if the card drivers to display on the computer must update or corrupt.

    I suggest that you manually download and install the latest drivers for the display card on the display card manufacturer's site, check to see if it helps.

    I googled for this error message and found many people having this problem.
    It s not related to the laptop, but for the driver
    Who knows why.

    In any case, in most cases the people solved this problem by the new driver Catalyst installation.
    You should do this;

    -upgrade your Vista to the last State
    -remove the old system catalyst
    remove/uninstall the graphics since the device manager driver
    -Restart the computer and reinstall the driver and catalyst

    I just had the same thing happen. lost a lot of files. most is saved but we just moved and my backup HD are still packed. seems that there is a major conflict. check the file sizes in the main files, they are big like my files are there, but when I go down the root more that they are not and the file sizes in these folders don't add to the main folder above? I hope they are just invisible but recoverable. anyone with recommendations. I installed the mechanic system and my machine is stable again, but I get the error messages for the catalyst Center control and the dell support center. There may be a conflict between the 2 programs

    How to fix; Run winupdate, under settings disable the updates recommended. Then, in the devices/drivers that have been updated rolling back the drivers. Or go to the site of Tosh, specific to your model and reinstall the appropriate drivers (graphics and touchpad at least)
