the child's account

How to create a CHILD ACCOUNT and assign The PERMISSION PERANTAL ?

Hi surenchoudhary,

The latest version of the parental control now uses the standard user accounts (logon Windows) as a child in the safety of the family. If you need to know about adding a user to the Windows login with standard privileges, please see this link.

If you have already created a standard user and you want to manage under parental control, then follow these steps:

1. run the parental control on a Windows account with administrator privileges. If this is your first time running the parental control, you need to sign in using your Microsoft Account.

2. after login, select the standard Windows account that you want to monitor as a child by checking the box to the right of the name of the account, and then click Next after.

3 on the right, you will see members parental control with a list of drop down option. Click the menu drop-down, and then select Add standard account name.

4. click on record. Wait until the installation is done.

5. Once done, you should see the name of the account under Windows monitored accounts. To manage the account and setup of filters and restrictions, to connect on https://familysafety.microsoft.com, look for the child account name, and then click change settings.

If you are having trouble configuring your parental control, do not hesitate to reply to this post.

Thank you and best regards.

Based on your post, it seems that you have 2 concerns:

First: If your concern is the addition of your child in the safety of your family, you can follow these steps:

Add/Re-adding a child to parental controls in Windows 7/Vista

    2. tap create an account (you will be redirected to search application screen automatically).

After you create the child account, you can then go to the Family Safety website, log in using the parent account and then manage restrictions and control of your child options.

Second: In case you want your child free of any restriction which actually an adult account, you will need to just make sure that he or she is not a member of the safety of your family to check on the Family Safety website. • Permisions - the child's account?

    Tried to set up a laptop for 3 young children to use and set parental controls. When I go to my Microsoft account I can go to permissions and select;

Choose what your children can share with other people online.

who then takes the permissions - accounts of Kid, but then said

    Manage parental permissions

You have no accounts of the child.

It doesn't give you any option to add or bind on behalf of a child.  How can you do this?

I created 3 openings of accounts Microsoft individual one for each child and add them and applied the security settings for the family under the control panel.  Is this the same thing as above, or something else entirely?

    Hi DarrenBlair,

Parental permissions for the link you gave applies to accounts of child under COPPA. If you have set the parameter on your control panel, the parameter should apply to https://familysafety.microsoft.com. This is where you can manage the settings for accounts of your child.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • can't download movies itunes to the child's account

I have active sharing family and expressed the box shopping as well.  I have several itunes movies available.  And I can download them from an adult account.  The problem is my ipad for children shows them as purchased and not on their ipad.  But when I click on one of the films, it shows the download link of clouds but the arrow pointing down is gray instead of blue.  Is there anything else I need to do to get their ipad download?

You have an age category film located in settings > general > Restrictions on the iPad which blocks their download?

  • The Parental account for my child's account has been disabled for inactivity and to accept the new terms of use for the xbox update must be parental confirmation.

The Parental account for my child's account has been disabled for inactivity and to accept the new terms of use for the xbox update must be parental confirmation. I can't do this because even when you type the parental email address in the password recovery, it does not recognize because because it is inactive. I need a Windows Live technician to reactivate the account and I don't know if I should put the email address of the account here for security reasons. My other question is also if you can't reactivate can you switch parental permissions to another account.
