  There is no such thing as SPA10 satellite. You either have Satellite A10 or P10. Please check on the label at the bottom of your laptop. Correctly identify your laptop model and you will find everything you need on Toshiba download page.

  First a little advice you should always write the name of your laptop.

  OK now, to you in general I have a question would not recommend to update anything if you laptop and operating system is stable and you don t have problems.
  Of course the update of the driver is not risky, but I would only run updates some compatibility problems with 3rd party software or hardware appears.

  The update of the BIOS is risky. Wrong or bad BIOS update procedure could damage the ROM module on the map. So be careful.

  Hello. A few days ago I faced a bad experience with my laptop HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC. System crashed. At any time, I tried to turn it on, an error message appears and the system was blocked. The message was: FILE: \BOOT\BCD status 0xc000000f, asking for the disc of Windows 7 system running. But the system disk did not run at all. I checked the situation and found the hard drive with 6 partitions instead of 2. I got my hard drive cleaned perfectly, but my recovery disk can be installed correctly. So, the system has not yet restored. My question is: what should I do to get my laptop with the system restore? any ideas?

  The shop obviously does not use your recovery disks to install Windows on the new drive. I had suspected that when you said that none of the original software has been installed. Recovery Manager also would have been installed.

  I would go back to the shop, with the recovery discs in hand and ask that they make a correct installation, or do the installation yourself. Put the first disk in the CD/DVD drive, and then restart the laptop. If you get a prompt to hit any key to boot from the CD/DVD, press the space bar.

  On the Toshiba download page, choose this part number (short model) and you should be able to find all the drivers available.

  Have you tried to simply go directly to the page of the HP driver and see what they had also for the drivers updated on the driver page? Automatic updates sometimes do not work very good and your best option is to go to your model driver page to see what is updated.

  To resolve this problem, follow the steps below.

  Windows XP

  1. uninstall the SW if you have successfully installed the driver.

  2. remove the install CDROM or DVDROM drive.

  3. Click Start, control panel and select regional settings.

  4. click on advanced.

  5. change the "language for non-Unicode programs" to "English (United States)".

  6. check the box for the default user account settings.

  7. click OK and restart when you are prompted.

  8 put in the installation CD and install the printer software. Joanie you see installation screen in English.

  Windows Vista

  1. uninstall the SW if you have successfully installed the driver.

  2. remove the install CDROM or DVDROM drive.

  3. open regional and Language Options by clicking the start (Windows icon) button, click Control Panel, click clock, language,

  and region, and then click regional and Language Options.

  4. click on the "Administrative" tab, under the tongue for clcik programs no unicode on "change system local." Select "English (United States).

  5. click OK, and then click Restart now.

  6. put in the installation CD and install the printer software. You should see the installation screen in English.
