The current state of the target is down and it displays red arrow down in OEM 12 c. But in fact the database is running

Hi all

my instance of database shows down in OEM 12 c but in fact the database is running and status of the listener is unknown. What steps should I take to make the database appear?

FYI,.

The error is:

The current state of the target is down. (I checked events tab in the incident handler here, it is showing error as "inaccessible agent (reason = unable to connect to the agent to https://sunshine.mad:3872/emd/main / [connection refused]).") host is accessible.

A week before I made switch to digital, the basics of data, is that this is the reason why it shows this error? do we need to change any configuration after switching to the databases on OEM 12 c. at this point time of the database instance shows down and the listener to the top but suddenly the database and listener went wrong.

Please help me, give your suggestions in this regard.

Verify that the agent is in place and suggested downloading like Antonio. For the target of the database, the home page, go to the (Oracle database > Configuration target >) Configuration of the analysis page, check the monitoring parameters are correct and do a test connection. You can check the parameters of surveillance for the target of the listener as well.

Kind regards

    1. What is sure, is that your database is not registered in OCR because there are missing elements in crsctl stat res t exit for database instances.
    2. default DBCA trying to restore an RMAN backup to create a database. DBCA probably also try to connect to the new instance of the database to run scripts.
    3. you must use:

    srvctl start database -d demo

    This should start all database instances.

    But first try to check the DBCA logs that should be under $ORACLE_HOME/cfgtoollogs/dbca and to correct related errors.

  • The problem with SQL after the migration of the database to another machine

    Having a SQL strange problem trying to extract a database being moved from one machine to the other.  Both machines are running SQL 2008 32-bit and are both Windows 2008 servers.  When I try to backup the database using the SQL tools and restore the. BAK file on the new SQL Server, I get the following error:

    Restore failed for server 'servername' (Microsoft.SqlServer.Smo)
    Additional information:
    System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: RESTORE detected an error on the page (44:2097184) in database 'RestoreDBName' read from the backup set.

    Similarly, when I am trying to copy the. MDF and. LDF files to the new server and tie them, I get the following error:

    Attach the database failed for the server 'servername '.
    Additional information:
    An exception occurred during the execution of a Transact-SQL statement or batch.
    A system assertion failed.  An assertion failure is usually caused by a corruption of data or software bug.  To check the database, consider running DBCC CHECKDB.  If you have agreed to send images to Microsoft during installation, a mini dump will be sent to Microsoft.  An update can be an available from Microsoft in the latest Service Pack or a QFE from Technical Support.

    Everything I've read, these errors usually indicate some sort of database corruption.  However when I run DBCC CHECKDB on the database on the source server, it is up to perfectly don't own... None detected corruption.  In fact, this server hosts 8 different databases.  Departure from all the correct DB on the source server, none of them will restore however to a new server using one of the methods above.  I'm having a hard time to believe that each of them could be corrupted when they show absolutely no indication of a problem.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Try to make the backup and restore via SQLCMD (or via a query in SQL Server MS window).

    The backup will be the following (obviously, change "MaBase" and "D:\BACKUPS" to some database and the location you wish to save - just using for example):

    BACKUP DATABASE MyDatabase

    TO DISK = 'D:\BACKUPS\MyDatabase.bak. '

    WITH NOFORMAT, NOINIT,.

    NAME = 'Database MyDatabase - Full Backup',

    NOREWIND, NOUNLOAD, STATS = 10, SKIP

    Copy your backup to the other server and file make:

    RESTORE the DATABASE to MyDatabase

    FROM DISK = 'E:\Backups\MyDatabase.bak' WITH FILE = 1,

    GO to "MyDatabase_Data" to "E:\SQLDATA\MyDatabase_Data.mdf,"

    GO to "MyDatabase_Log" to "E:\SQLLOG\MyDatabase_Data.ldf,"

    NOUNLOAD, STATS = 10 REPLACE

    Again, change your names and locations in function.

    If this does not work, try to restore a database by third-party tools. You can find them in Google. If you don't want to spend the time to research, you can try a tool SQL Server Recovery Toolbox. All the details about this program on the link. http://www.oemailrecovery.com/sql_repair.html

  • Refresh the production database to test the database with RMAN

    I saw a lot of blog on the internet but not got a satisfactory answer.

    Reg,

    Thomas verrma

    Thomas

    Follow these steps

    1. on the server target

    a. Add entry in oratab

    b. create init.ora for target db copy of source

    c. If you use catalog

    connect to the RMAN catalog, you can use the double option to clone run below

    one.

    RMAN > Connect target sys /@trgt

    RMAN > Connect Catalog rman /@catalog

    b. check that the backup connects to the source and to collect information on the elements of backup that contains the backup controlfile

    c. restore the controlfile

    RMAN > set DBID = xxxxxxxx (DBID of the source db)

    RMAN > run

    {

    allocate channels ch1 type parms 'SBT_TAPE' = 'ENV = (NB_ORA_CLIENT =, NB_ORA_SERV =)';

    Restore controlfile from "/ c-DBID-xxxxxxxx-00';

    }

    Once the controlfile is restored, you can mount the db

    change the editing of the database;

    run

    {

    until ' TO_DATE (2014-SEPT-10 10:00 ', MY - DD - YYYY HH24 ') ";

    allocate channels ch1 type parms 'SBT_TAPE' = 'ENV = (NB_ORA_CLIENT =, NB_ORA_SERV =)';

    restore the database;

    recover the database;

    }

    ALTER database open resetlogs;

    stop immediately;

    bootable media;

    nest target = / = dbname

    change the system db_name set = scope = spfile;

    stop immediately;

    Startup mount

    ALTER database open resetlogs;

  • not able to connect to the database using the oracle instant client

    Hello

    I am not able to connect to the database using the instant oracle from my local PC client. They use to connect to the database files and sqlnet.ora files LDAP.ora. If I want to test the connection, I found this executable tns wasn't there, so not able to tnsping. So I'm not able to solve this problem.

    Please let me know if a solution for everything

    Client Oracle: oracle 10.2bFAT client 32-bit

    Thank you
    Veera

    There is little that tnsping can do sqlplus can't.

    Instead of
    tnsping mydb.myorg.com
    Try
    sqlplus-s-L /@mydb.myorg.com
    or
    sqlplus-s-L user/[email protected]

    If you get
    ORA-12154: TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified
    you know that the customer could not resolve 'mydb.myorg.com '.

    If you get
    ORA-12541: TNS:no listener
    then "mydb.myorg.com" could be resolved, but there is no listener it running.

    If you get
    ORA-12514: TNS:listener is not currently of service requested in connect descriptor
    then "mydb.myorg.com" could be solved, the listener is in place, and the database is out of service.

    If you get
    ORA-01017: name of user and password invalid. connection refused
    you know that 'mydb.myorg.com' has been successfully resolved, and the database is running.

    If you want more details, such as how and what "mydb.myorg.com" is resolved, turn the tracking by adding the following to "sqlnet.ora:
    TRACE_LEVEL_CLIENT = ADMIN
    TRACE_DIRECTORY_CLIENT = C:\TEMP (a writable directory)

    Then you will find lines like this in the trace file:

    -THE INFORMATION SOURCE PARAMETER FOLLOWS-
    Attempt to load system pfile source C:\oracle\network\admin\sqlnet.ora
    Source of the setting successfully loaded

    Attempt to load the local pfile source C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\lanadvall\sqlnet.ora
    The parameter source has not been loaded.

    This shows you which configuration files are read, followed by the settings real read.

  • Migrating the database from one server to another..., what are the impacts?

    Hello

    We currently have our Hyperion (workspace, planning, essbase) environment on a single windows server. The associated database (Oracle) with it is on another Windows Server.

    The platform will be shared, and for this, the database will be migrated on the server of hyperion. During the process, its name will be changed (but the users/schemas/password will remain)

    How to make the platform Hyperion welcomes such a change? The server name can be changed somehow in the configuration? Or do we reinstall us from scratch, the application?

    Thanks in advance for your help. Best regards.

    There is no need to re install, you will have to reconfigure all products with the new name of the host of the database by running the configuration utility, when you are prompted to use select existing table.
    Once Setup is complete for planning, you must change the information in the database for each application by modifying the database,

    Version number will be a real help here.

    See you soon... !!

  • Delete the database on Windows

    Hello

    Could you please provide steps or relevant link to remove the Oracle database in the Windows platform?

    Oracle - 11.2.0.3.0

    OS - Windows 2003 32-bit

    Kind regards

    In fact, I wouldn't use these steps. The main reason is that the DROP DATABASE command will not remove this annoying service. Instead, I would check the database is running, and then use the DBCA Wizard to delete the database. Not only this delete the database for you, it will be also make you the Windows registry (and therefore service) are supported properly.

    As already said, the combination is not taken in charge, but it's quite strange rhat you can connect to Sql * Plus, and you get the error of forms: the error is local and means that the tnsnames.ora file is not where it should be, or there are errors it contains.

    You have not all errors in the installation? the forms and reports test programs work?

    You have a database on this machine? Looks like that the tnsnames.ora you posted comes from a House of database, you have in Oracle Home Forms? (the absence of the latter that would explain the error you get).

  • Update page APEX when executing process on the database

    Hello

    I create a package on the database, which performs certain actions. These actions can be considered in different steps in a workflow, but this package does that automatically. Would be nice, if the user gets information about what happens during the process execution.

    So my question is: is it possible to update the information on a page of the APEX, during execution of the process?
    I am thinking something like this:

    Step 1: done
    Step 2: done
    Step 3: processing...
    Step 4:
    Step 5:

    While the substantive process on the database is running.

    Is it possible, and if so, how has been done?

  • If you can get the steps as different records (for example if they are inserted in a table or a lined pipe function can return these documents), then create a new SQL report based on an SQL query, fetch records (possibly ordering him by any column to store these ID information or insert the date)
  • Then add a JS code that refreshes the report automatically after a predetermined period (5 seconds or more), you can find this code snippet in this thread: {message identifier: = 9491610}

  • Logon sqlplus from the database server do not.

    I want to export data from the a database. I can sqlplus as a particular user (owner of the table) from a remote server. But when I try to sqlplus or run the exp from the database server (the server where the database is running), I refused to sign. Is there a configuration in the database in order to prevent this loggin user from the database server

    Try this.
    1. the cd in your home directory.
    2. starting at the prompt, so source oraenv
    -> . oraenv
    3. When prompted enter the name of your database, in the same case, as in/etc/oratab.
    4. try to connect now
    -> sqlplus testuser / *.

    If it works for you, then you must ensure you environments ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID and path are correct - as oraenv does for you.

  • Need help on expdp and the size of the database.

    Hi all

    I ran a command expdp
    expdp NOLOGFILE ESTIMATE_ONLY = Y Y =.

    Here is the output I got.

    I had read that, SYS_EXPORT_SCHEMA_XX are created while taking the dump with expdp and if stop you it without a showdown at work, this kind of remains of tables in the DB.

    I CAN DELETE THESE TABLES, BECAUSE IT IS TOO MUCH SPACE. ???

    Thank you
    Nitin

    Oracle will create master tables in the format you mentioned taking the export using expdp
    You can drop them and nothing will happen even if the database is running.
