The desktop icons are not displayed, but appear on the office toolbar

Recently, my niece tried to take a picture of the webcam and use it for paper painted.  She then changed back.  The next time that the computer was used, all desktop icons disappeared!

They are still in their folder, and if the Office toolbar is enabled, all the icons are there.

If the office is a right-click, the options menu under rearrange icons by are grayed out. the display does not appear.

It is not a malware problem; system has MSE and in addition, the nice people at MalwareTeks have crossed me half a dozen ladies without anything to reveal.  In addition, all dashboard software works very well in the start menu, or quick launch icons or toolbars of office.

It is XP/SP3 with all updates.  Everything seems to work, it's just that there are no icons on the desktop!

In addition, if a new user is set up, icons ARE there on THIS desk.

If the system has installed Service Pack 3 and you have a XP installation CD is an older MS if you want SFC to run quietly, you can use your old XP CD to create a new CD to install XP with SP3 "listened slip" in it.  You will also find have such a useful thing in the future.

    First, you need to get your work desk in order to have room for manoeuvre, then you can solve your problem of potential malware.

    Of your background image, press Ctrl-Alt-Del and open Task Manager.

    Look at the processes tab and if the process explorer.exe is not running, start it as follows:

    In Task Manager, click file, new task, and in the Open box, enter:

    %windir%\explorer.exe

    Click OK and see if get you your office.  If you get an error, we need to know what it says.

    If explorer.exe is already running in the processes tab, it is likely that the object of the affection and will need to be replaced (which is not difficult).

    If you notice that the explorer.exe process is already running in the Task Manager, highlight the explorer.exe process, and then click end process to stop and start a new explorer.exe process as described above.

    If things look right now, your system is still not fixed, but it should be enough usable so now you can fix it.

    I would start with these scans:

    Perform scans for malware first, then these scans by operating clean, difficulty of problems:

  • RH9: graphics are not displayed, but the fact of the anchored frame

    I'm a link FM books to my HR project.  With the help of FrameSLT, conditionalized my graphics (contained in an anchored frame) on FM so that they are not displayed.  It works very well on FM: there is no image and no image is anchored.

    However, in the draft HR charts are displayed with sharps; they appear also with sharps in the preview.  It's the way that it used to be in RH7. In FlashHelp, the graphics do not appear but the anchored frame is left behind, so I have a large white space where the graphic should be.

    I thought that there was a way that you don't have graphics in the project in the first place.  View the graphics in the project really slows down the update and generate processes. Why is HR still collect them if the graphic and anchored framework do not appear in the book of FM?

  • Images are not displayed but the cargo space

    Images are not displayed on any service.  There is no empty box with a red X in the upper left.  Any space where the image should be.  This includes backgrounds and individual images.  Even the buttons to link and change the font on this application do not appear to like what any other contours then.

    Example: Facebook blue border of the Web page do not show, nor making photos into albums.  It is the same with Internet Explorer and Mozilla.

    In windows mail images also do not load and are left with empty space.  This became annoying when links are included in the images.

    Wasn't internet Explorer or whatever it is in the same direction.  It has also affected Mozilla Firefox and it affected things offline as well.

    I actually thought things on my own by poking around.  It proved that under the "accessibility" Menu background images have been disabled for display by a person of limited view.  It had been activated, and it turned out she had a far greater effect disabling more than background.

    I have Windows 7 Pro x 64 SP1.

    Usually I have the taskbar large icons poster and I never combine the buttons on the taskbar.

    I have 6 icons pinned in the taskbar.

    Three of them (so the other three are OK), started all of a sudden (after years without problems), windows does not display the icon but a generic. Programmes are: Notepad, prompt command and Windows explore.

    If I switch to display small icons in the taskbar, the three icons pinned in question are then displayed correctly but once I return to large icons they become generic.

    Regardless of what size of icon is defined, when I click on one of the three pinned icons that the corresponding program opens properly and the correct icon appears next to the name of the program. When I close the program, the pinned icon: 1) correct (when the value of small icons) or 2) generic windows icon (when the value of large icons).

    I tried a bunch of stuff without success to restore the correct large icons: rebuild the icon cache by deleting the IconCache.db. United Nations-pinning/re-pinning; PIN rather than a shortcut exe files; change the size of icons and affecting the default value; SFC/SCANNOW and similar...

    Can you help me?

    Mozilla has already admitted that leaking memory prevents images from multiple sources. Well, if I open Tumblr, not all the images it displays.     When I start my computer the only thing that appears is the program folder. I can see the documents, photos, etc. If I close or minimize this window, I have no icons, no background, no toolbar, nothing. I don't have a right-click option either. When I try to right click to maybe spend a setting or something that nothing happens. Any ideas?

    Click the Pearl (Start) button on the desktop in the search field type cmd (do not hit enter) right click on cmd.exe and select run as administrator once in the prompt type sfc/scannow

    Once the scan completed (perhaps 30 minutes) take note if she was able to find corruption and she was able to repair, restart and see if your icons are back.
