The device monitor

I've been running my laptop via a hdmi to my Samsung for quite awhile. I unplug rarely to use other wise. Recently, I did and can not get the main monitor screen to get to the top of the tower. have re installed the drivers and still nothing. recently he had to stop down to the updates and once finished him comes from the screen back on so don't know its no problem with the auto. Once restarted it won't come back or be detected by the computer. I don't know if its because settings set up through the hdmi to the tv which does not allow the laptop screen work. Any help is grateful.

This may sound stupid, but it saved me once & later the same step saved another user on the forums.

Imagine that you have set up the PC to display on the external monitor only.  Press Win + P and you can imagine that this is what you would see

then press the right arrow once and you can imagine that this is what you would see

then press ENTER to implement this change in the display on the PC screen only.

Do exactly that, even if you don't actually see what you are doing.  You will find hopefully the display goes back to the computer.  If you now press Win + P, once again, you'll be able to see what it is that you just do it by yourself [change is not implemented until you press return, so it is prudent to have a look].

  • When I change the setting by LabVIEW on my device, I see change on the monitor of the device?

When I change the setting by LabVIEW on my device, I see change on the monitor of the device?

This question should be addressed to the manufacturer of the device. From your previous posts, I guess you use GPIB or serial. If the unit has received the order, the manufacturer should be able to tell if no indicators on the device to update when the order is received. Based on my experience, however, the device indicators will most likely update on receipt of an order successfully.

    Hello, Olivia,.

It depends on how you have the monitor Setup.

You can get this option only when you select extend monitor instead of select two copies.

If you want to set primary and secondary monitors, you must select the Extend monitors.

    Hi riteshwalia,

Mscank is a file system driver that may be associated with any device.

Device Manager open to check what hardware device is not working properly on the computer, and then uninstall it.

    (a) open Device Manager by clicking the Start button.

    (b) click on Control Panel, click system and security, and then, under System, click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    (c) now check if any device has any yellow exclamation on it.

Once you find any device with any brand, right click on the device and then click on the option to Uninstalland restart the computer and check if it works.

If you can't find any device with all brands then check by activating hidden devices.

    (a) in Device Manager click on view and later click on Show hidden devices and check to see if you find any device with exclamation point and uninstall

If the previous step fails, run Windows update to check and install the update from the recommended on the computer device driver.

  • Isolate the device safety work

Be very careful about security, I would like to insulate my working iPhone device from the rest of the devices on my network (Mac, iPhones, iPads). I was looking for security questions, I realized that all my password on Safari (for example) have been recorded and readily available on this device. Therefore, could these passwords being downloaded by my company through MobileIron or any other device management application? They could get my login/password for apple through these programs while monitoring my phone? What are the restrictions for them to access and how to secure the rest of my machines and my Mac of this point of potential failure of security?

  • Disappears from the main window of the activity monitor

I'm under El Capitan 10.11.5, 15F34 build on an iMac (retina, 5K, 27 inch, mid-2015). If I open the activity monitor, I get the CPU usage, but the main window will briefly appear and disappear. If I minimize and restore, I also get it for a fraction of a second and then it seems to fall back on the dock. The history of CPU option (cmd 3) is grayed out, although I can get it as the icon in the dock.

My question, then, is what caused this problem and how to restore to normal activity monitor?

Please read this message before doing anything.

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

    Step 1

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is localized to your user account.

Select the feedback connections* and log in as a guest. Do not use the Safari connection only 'user comments' created by 'find my Mac '.

While signed in as a guest, you will have access to your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you use them for the first time. Do not be alarmed by this behavior; It's normal. If you need any password or other personal information in order to complete the test, save, print, or write them before you start.

Test while signed in as a guest. Same problem?

After testing, log on to the guest account and in your own account, disable it if you wish. The files that you created in the guest account will be automatically deleted when you log out of it.

    * Note: If you have enabled 'find my Mac' or FileVault, then you cannot activate the guest account. The login 'User comments' created by 'Find my Mac' is not the same. Create a new account to test and delete it, including his home folder, after testing.

    Step 2

The goal of this step is to determine if the problem is caused by changes in the system of third party that load automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Please take this step regardless of the results of step 1.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you normally connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • Shaking image on the external monitor when the Satellite A200 is running on AC

    Hello

I have this problem that drives me crazy... I bought an external monitor for my laptop Toshiba Satellite A200-1 9 s, but the problem is that the image on the external monitor, shakes. I tried another monitor, the same, another cable, same problem; the only way to stop it is to unplug the AC of the laptop.

I also tried to move the monitor further away from the laptop, but nothing.
I can stop shaking so hard that if I switch to the profile AC from FULL POWER to save power... but even with this image is still shaking a little.

So basically there is a magnetic field around here, probably in the portable, which makes my picture shaking like crazy... someone knows how to stop it?
    TX

    Hello

    Hmmm...
I don't think it has to do something with magnetic fields.

Cause she is related to the energy consumption of the computer, it seems that there is a problem with the AC adapter.
If he needs to deliver all the 'juice', this is capacitors to keep absolutely stable voltage may be too low.
These instabilities (with the frequency of 50 Hz supply) can parasitize the signal on the screen.

A solution for this?... If you know how to solder some fat capacitors somehow between the two...

    Or:
    It is a grounding problem
I have never heard of such problems with the LCD (VGA monitors?) monitors. Generally, this is the case when you use an analog video output,
leading to no color on TV.
You have an annoying hum when you connect the audio output to an amplifier? It would be a sign for it.
I had such a problem and solved by plugging my laptop on the sector on another circuit in the House as my audio devices
    So experiment with it.
First: unplug all the other stuff (printer, Poles, antennas, all) these are unpleasant problems with a lot of possible interference.

It is not all the videos, but some that will be distorted, shine or have a black box in front of them. Need to find a new updated drivers, but where?

    Hello:

Have you tried to change the screen resolution of different setttngs?  For example, if you went to a 4:3 to widescreen (16:9) display monitor you need to change the resolution to a wide screen resolution.

Run the Intel driver update utility and it will scan your PC and give you downloads for all Intel devices that need updated drivers.

Launch a command (as a Runas administrator) window and enter the following commands in it:

  • How to reset the default monitor on Acer 2920, computer laptop think always connected to an external monitor

Hello, I hope you can help me! I have a laptop Aspire 2920 with Windows Vista Home Edition O.S. It starts and works fine except that after I used it with an external monitor (a tv screen) on the possibility of using the external monitor, it only now starting to think that the monitor is the flat screen tv and doesn't recognize the normal screen of the laptop. The laptop screen is now "pixeled" and shows only like 2/3 of its total width. I checked in Control Panel and it has recorded as the 'normal' monitor flat screen, but I can't way a find to tell the computer that the monitor is the same as usual and not the flat screen tv. Thank you!!!

    Dear Lawrence,

    I ve solved the problem.

Do you have your suggestion to reset and did not work, but keeping your idea, I hooked to an external monitor, mounted in Control Panel, remove the "non-existent" monitor in the device section.

At this point, I had no image at all in the laptop and only the external monitor.

Turn off the computer and then reset the power supply.

Because the computer did not all other monitors, he then had to use the one by default with the default resolution, etc..

Thanks, it was a great help!

  • How can I get my computer my external USB drive (portfolio) after that I repeatedly get the message that the device "can not be removed?

Original title: I need a market to resolve the problem remove the instrument.

How can I get my computer my external USB drive (portfolio) after that I repeatedly get the message that the device "can not be removed? I have closed all other programs and waited for varying amounts of time, and tried all of the fixes that have been proposed on this site. Nothing works. I don't want to turn off the computer whenever I have to remove the device.

I can't know what "all patches" you've tried, but:

Make sure that the system restore does not monitor the external drive.  SR does need to control the system drive and to the system drive, SR has only about 1 GB of space max.  Make a right click my computer and select properties then the System Restore tab to configure SR.

Make sure that the Indexing Service is turned off (at least for the external drive).  To disable disk indexing completely, which will also speed up your computer a bit, see http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp.  For the external drive, right-click on the drive icon in my computer, select properties and uncheck the indexing disc

There are different workarounds short to shut down the computer, but you might want to try this third-party app first:
    http://safelyremove.com/index.html  Among other features:

The device cannot be stopped now. Why? Never encountered the situation when Windows does not allow you to remove a device? Unlike Windows, USB remove will show you programs which prevent the device to be stopped and let you close these programs or just files that they opened on the device.
