The difficulty to restore my factory settings mac HELP!

I can't restore settings macbook pro. I followed this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdzefnG2fls), but I now get the same popup "this article is temporarily unavailable. "Please try again later '. Can someone please help!

How do you think the pop-up?

Never mind, I guess that's when you try to download the operating system after opening a session with your AppleID.

Your AppleID is associated with the purchase/download this OS?

There is an alternative, to make a USB bootable installed with DiskMakerX. You can now start in this rather the the recovery partition.

  • the last IOS installation froze my iphone 6 and iTunes says that it needs to be restored to factory settings.

Install the last IOS froze my iphone 6. iTunes shows it must have installed at the factory. How can I back up all my data?

You will get the option to "update" only when force you it into recovery mode. you might get lucky. If you cannot update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If she needs a complete restoration to factory settings then get what you can from iCloud and all other internet accounts that you use.

Synchronize what you can save on your computer also.

You can re - download apps etc for free, but if you do not have a return to the top, then you can only look at the expensive data recovery options

If you do not have to restore as new then make sure to run iCloud back ups or regularly back up on iTunes before you do updates in the future.

  • Restore to factory settings get rid of most of the viruses and malware?

Restore to factory settings get rid of most of the viruses and malware?  I read that restoring to factory settings is a way to get rid of viruses and malware, but I also read that it does not get rid of all the viruses and malware.  On average, approximately what percentage of virus/malware done restoring a system get rid of?

    Thank you

Restore factory settings will get rid of all viruses and spyware because it completely re-images your HARD drive - there is nothing of the old installation - everything is crushed by the new image.

  • I can well picked up a carrier locked iPhone 5 that has been restored to factory settings?

    Hello

I hope to trade in my old iPhone 5 (I currently use a 5s) either finance or credit of the store to an iPhone SE.

However, the situation with my iPhone 5 is complicated.

    • It was bought by my father's business (I used to work there).
    • It is carrier locked to Vodafone (UK network), but I currently reside in Chicago.
    • When I got my 5s I'm from carrier, but kept my old number - so I did not have a Vodafone SIM.
    • My brother used my 5 for awhile. He gave me back restored to factory settings.
    • I can not set up because I do not have a Vodafone SIM.

In these circumstances, may I take it to an Apple Store to trade it?

Thanks a lot for your help.

Yes - not sure how much you can get for it

But if you can prove that you are the legal owner of the phone (as opposed to the Affairs of your dad) so you should be clear

You also mention that your brother has used - which was on Vodafone

Restoring to factory settings formats the disc, and which erases
everything what he. You probably get something new, but you can
try to do a search on the web for a recovery program that unformats the reader
    like here: http://www.easeus.com/resource/unformat.htm

If you unformat the drive successfully and can recover lost files
back, the first thing you should do copy on an external
(CD, DVD, USB sticks, external hard drives, etc.).
    Two other points/questions:

    1. why restore you to the factory settings? This is usually the worst
approach to solve a problem, there's a lot of extra long hard
work and often leads to problems of its own (as it did here).

    2. I assume you have no backup on external media from your
photos of important files etc. In this case. you played with
the fire. You can read this article on the backup that I wrote:

  • Cannot restore to factory settings - Pavilion a1767c Media Center

My computer has a "C++ Runtime error' when trying to restore to factory settings with"restore disks. What would cause this?

    Details:

My system works with Vista. It's an older model but I had no problems with it until it started to freeze at startup and when using Vista (BIOS outdated?). I got the HARD drive tested and it seems to be operational. "However, when I try to use my restore disks from" he published a "Miscrosoft C++ Runtime Error' after that selection of the restore process - close this window of error leads to restore failed.

The HARD drive has been formatted before restoring, I don't remember. Could this have damaged the recovery section, as everything I have in the recovery partition is an empty folder of recovery and a pcdr.ini file? Please notify.

    WMC, welcome to the forum.

Here's a guide to help in the recovery process.  There is a video, too.

It could be a failure of the power supply unit (PSU) the origin of freezing problems.  Here is a guide to help you solve the problem.  The power supply can cause problems that seem not to be related.  It may be related to the problem of recovery you encounter, as well.

  • blue screen on envy 14 beats edition after restoring to factory settings

    Hello

My HP Envy beats edition is 2 years old and recently had a problem starting and we have restored to factory settings since it was the only option they don't have no recovery points on the system.  It freezes for a split second, and then a blue screen at random intervals. When this happens, he mentions something about a process of dumping of physical memory, and then restart windows.

I am able to go into windows and use normal programs, but suddenly the blue screen appears and it stops again. Especially when I use the mouse.  I don't know what the problem is. Help, please.

Thanks for the reply! Now that I have this information, I would like you to try the procedure described in this document to Microsoft for the resolution in Windows 7 stop errors (blue screen)

Please try all the steps, including the reinstallation of the operating system if you unable to solve the problem. If nothing works, the computer must be repaired since there is most likely a hardware problem. You can call the HP support to get it addressed.

You can use this Web site for information about how to contact HP properly, based on your region: Contact HP worldwide

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks again and have a great day!

  • Create product recovery media does not work after restoring to factory settings

Updated my T500 from 160 to 320 GB.

First of all, ran the RnR restore to factory settings with the product recovery media that I made earlier. And then restored my C: volume from my Windows Home Server backup.

Everything seems as usual except my service partition is now f: instead of S: and my Lenovo partition is H: instead of q:-I tested it I can get into the RnR with F11 service partition.

But when I try to create new recovery media product the ICT box is grayed out on the first prompt so I can't continue. Put back the partition of Lenovo on q: in disk management has not changed anything, he would let me change the letter of the service partition.

It's no big deal - I still have my original disks - but it would be good to know what I could improve for the next time I have to do a restore.

Think that I thought about it - when I restored my C volume I also restored a version of RnR who 'knows' I already burned disks. So next time if I want to burn new disks, I need to do on the version of the system factory setting before you restore the volume C:.

  • How to restore the Satellite L300 PSLB8E to factory settings?

I have problems with repeated "crash" of my system.
I get the dreaded blue page, which then restarts (usually) pretty quickly.

I think trying the option 'Restore factory settings', but I've never done this before.
If I do, which will leave it on my computer?

I have my own disks which I was invited to do the last few months (I just got this machine since May this year) will be I need it, or is there something else that is needed?

I have a Satellite L300, PSLB8E, using Vista Home Basic

    Hello

Hmm. I m wondering if you checked a few discussions here on the same theme.
    Did you?
There are more that enough son and I m sure you will not need to create this thread after reading some reviews.

Just a tip; the use of HARD drive recovery option will format the system partition, but the D partition (where the HARD drive recovery files are placed) wouldn't be formatted!

  • HP Envy k201na: my HP laptop does not start after restoration of factory settings removes the boot files

I wanted to restore my computer laptop back to factory settings. So I went into settings and navigated to the update and recovery, recovery and then clicked the option restore factory settings. I had several partitions then asked me if I wanted to delete all of my drive or to remove all the windows disk was installed on. I clicked on the remove all option. Everything was erased from my laptop, I think that the boot partition has been altered to. Now when I start my laptop 0xc00000000f error code occurs and he said: 'you will need to use recovery tools. • The difficulty to restore my laptop to factory setting.

I came home one day to find that there was a virus on my HP Pavilion Dv7 - 4009tx Enterainment Notebook PC and since I had important things backed up on my external hard drive I have much better just to restore my laptop back to factory settings, I find the best way to get rid of problems like this. (they rarely anyway).

So I turned off my phone and then launch it and press F11, the window with three boxes popped up, I already knew what to do but the ability to set my laptop to factory settings was not in the first box where it should be, thinking that I made a mistake I looked on the internet and it said : this is how you do it. Confused out of my mind as to where the option went I tried the three other options available in the "I need help immediately" box and however the laptop has restored back to factory settings, but not completely, programs and software initially provided with the laptop were no where.

I tired the other method to restore using the Restore Manager, option restore my laptop to factory setting was there to my greatest joy and I clicked it expecting it to be restored, but rather after the restart he come to a window with the restoration of the system and repair the start and a few other options.

I'm really lost to restore my laptop to its factory originally settings as I had done a few times before. Nobody knows what is happening or what I'm doing wrong. My laptop runs only two years soon which means that it is not that old to have this kind of weird problems and I really need my laptop to do my uni work, I need to fix as soon as I can.

    Hello

Virus problem has probably corrupted the partition on the computer. In this case, you will be unable to perform a factory reset of the recovery partition.

You will need to perform a recovery using the HP recovery discs. If you have not created any recovery media after the purchase, you can order online them or directly call the technical assistance for the embedded discs out to you. This operation brings the computer to factory again.

Here is the link to order online:
