The exact font custom size
Hello
I have a label in QML. I applied a textstyle to the label.
textStyle {}
fontSize: FontSize.PointValue
fontSizeValue: ui.sdu (2.7)
color: Color.White
}
I would like the text in the label of a height of text sizes exactly 27 (on Z10). It turns out that fontSizeValue is specified in postscript points format, which is not the same as the design of units... How do I know how many points postscript is required for 1 on Z10?
BR, René
Hello
This turns out not to be a specific problem BB10. A good explanation is located here:
http://StackOverflow.com/questions/139655/convert-pixels-to-points
In Blackberry font sizes are specified in points (pt) postscript. There are 72 points per inch. So 1 point is 1/72 inch.
In user interface designs sometimes fonts are specified in pixels (in my case). If we have the dpi of the screen, then we can convert points to pixels and vice versa.
This method in QML will convert pixels into points for fontSize:
function pixelsToPoints (pixels) {}
var resolution = displayInfo.resolution;
1 inch = 2.54 cm.
var dpi = Math.round ((resolution.width / 100.0) * 2.54);
Console.Debug ("PPP:" + dpi);
Calc var = (pixel / dpi) * 72;
var pt = Math.round (calc + 0.5);
Console.Debug ("pt:"+ pt ');
return pt;
}
BR & thanks,
René

When I try printing to a custom size greeting card, it will not fill the page
When I try to print a greeting card custom size, I can't print to fill the page, e.g. a 5 "x 5" card is put in place as 5 "x 10" but when it prints it is an important border, have tried up to this adjustment to the page, the best fit etc but not joy.
Thank you very much for your help, I was ready to stop trying. I used already without borders for standard maps, but was having the problem with custom sizes, but by increasing the size slightly by setting without borders in custom settings, I have now managed to print a 5 x 5 "card.

Unable to print custom size paper
Hello
I've seen several questions posted here on the documents of custom sizes, but the only response to one of the questions has not worked for me.
I use Mac OS X 10.6.4 with an Officejet 6310 connected wireless ix.
I am trying to print a document in a piece of paper 9 x 3.875 inches in size. I created the document using this specific size. I created a custom size in the print menu, and when I click on print I get the message "custom paper size specified is not supported in the selected tray.
According to the user manual, the printer should be able to manage custom sizes from 4 "x 6" up to 8.5 "x 14". I followed the instructions in the user manual on how to implement the custom in the status bar paper, so I don't understand why the printer consider.
Any help on how to get the printer to accept the document would be extremely welcome.
Thank you
Alejandro
It was while I was specifying the paper size in the wrong order. Wearing the paper into the opening 9.00 3.88 instead of 3.88 x 9.00 x solves the problem.

HP 7520 - cannot print custom size of the photo tray photo
I am trying to print a photo of small 2.5 cm wide on a 4 x 6 "piece of photo paper. If I choose the "custom" paper size then I can select 4 x 6 on the right and put 4 copies of the photo on the sheet. But when I click on print it always goes for the main paper tray and then gives me an error (I emptied the main tray because I don't want it to be used). I don't want to use a large sheet of paper.
How can I force to take the paper from the photo bin? I tried every setting I can think. The selection of paper size automatically assumes that it is the size of the photo I want! If I choose 4 x 6 as my paper size it only allows me to print one full page. I need a tiny picture, preferably several times on one page. Without doubt, I should be able to say print the picture of this exact size and paper tray! Can anyone help please?
I use the HP Photosmart 7520 and Windows 7. Thank you.
Thanks for the quick response. You have me a little confused, so I just want to clarify - initially you were trying to print on 4 X 6 paper, you then changed to 10 x 15, because the paper was not shooting from the photo tray? I assume you mean 10x15cm which is always the same size from 4 x 6 paper.
Anyway I understand that he won't shoot the photo tray paper, you place the tray in the photo tray when selecting to print? Have a look here at how change printer settings so it pulls the correct status bar: Print the Photos saved on your computer (Windows)
Please don't forget to take a look at the paper handling section in the printer Specifications as 2.5 photo size you are interested in is not, see here: 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer printer Specifications
I could open my Windows Live Photo Gallery and play with the settings of the picture, when I select option 4 x 6 as you, I only get the option for "picture full page. Now when I select the letter or 8x10inches I am then given more options 2-4x6s, 1-8 x 10, 9-wallets and Board contact etc.. So that leads me to believe this is a limitation of the software.
Have you tried using another photo program to see if this allows you to get you exactly what you want? I open HP Photo Creations on my computer and did the following:
1. click on the option of high prints
2. navigate to multiple display prints and select display multiple impressions of grid.
3. click on customize and print
4. along the top, you are given the option to choose size, please make sure that the value is 4 x 6. See below
5. now under the advance printing options, go ahead and select the following settings:
6. you are also able to change the number of pictures you want per sheet, I've now fixed it 2. If you want to only 1 copy of the photo under Copies change this to 1
7. now you can go ahead and select print (remember under the parameter to select the right printer tray)
You are now able to print the smaller picture on paper photo 4 x 6 size the correct status bar? I look forward to hearing from you, fingers crossed

Amendment of the text of the scanned image. I want the same text font and size.
Hello, I was wondering if it was possible to edit an image scanned with the text on the subject. I want to replace/remove/change the text on my scanned image but I want it to be the exact same font and size and color. Color should be easy enough. But how can I do other things? Also, is there a way to simply copy the bottom of my scanned image and get rid of all the other stuff on it? Thanks to all who help.
If the site does not recognize fonts, you may be able to illuminate the background. You can use Image - adjust - curves both illuminate the background and obscure the text, end up with something like this:
But you don't really have to go to WhatTheFont.com for this one... It's pretty clear the font Arial Windows (I recognized immediately)... Looks to be about 20 points in size. You can either use the variant "BOLD" to the police, or the fake fat Photoshop character Panel feature which seems to be a closer match:

New attribute displays on the page in a different font and size
It is the first task of OA framework that I did. I extended a VO, by adding an attribute, then I've customized page and then displays the new attribute. However, when I run the page of JDeveloper, attribute is not the same font and the size of the text is larger than all other elements on the page. What is needed to get the new matching attribute (font and size identical) other data displayed by the page? Or is it all just because I'm short of JDeveloper?
I am running Oracle e-Business Financials 12.0.6. and using JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0
Thanks for any help.Hello

I need to control the font size in Safari. Apple seems to have removed. Does anyone know where the police since the previous version of Safari controls went?
Workarounds don't work. I find myself with a page too big for my Air 13 "screen if fonts are quite large. If the Safari page fits the screen, fonts are too low.
(insert a LOT of expletives here).
Help!
Just found out his omission, too! Horrible!
Minimum font size control has been using Safari... keys to allow the text on the pages to have a readable size. What is happening with Apple?
Now, perhaps, there is an extension that can do this. OFF to get one!

How to set the default font to a lower value size?
I recently received the update of the Firefox 22.0 20130514181517 build (at the same time as an update to Windows 7, I might add) and since then, on every Web site default font sizes have been expanded. I have a 17 "monitor, but due to fonts grossly overscaled, it looks more like an old 14", and it is quite irritating. To view websites in about the old way, they serve to study, I have to zoom out twice, but it also means that I have to do this on all websites. I also used to zoom accidentally inside or outside while using the touchpad on my laptop, so whenever I have ctrl-0 to restore the police, it goes back to the large font size, and I need her rezoom again.
I am mostly trying to figure out if there is a way to reset the font size without the help of Add-ons.
Thank you
Amendments of the code regarding the HiDPI support high-resolution displays have landed at Firefox 22 and later (bug #844604).
You can change the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx and increase or decrease the value of 0.1 or 0.05 as follows to adjust the size of fonts and other elements in Firefox.
- The layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref is a string parsed in float value and allows you to adjust the dimensions of all elements (user interface and web pages) specifically (resolution 0.1 or 0.05).
- Change the default value of-1 to 1 to make it work as in previous versions of Firefox (100%)
Start with a value of 1 and adjust this value with 0.1 or 0.05 for finer settings.
- Use values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the items (do NOT go all the way to 0.05!)
- Use a value greater than 1.0 to grow and enlarge the elements (percentage divided by DPI, % / DPI).
- http://KB.mozillazine.org/about:config
If the web pages must be adjusted after changing this pref so you can watch the extension Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint.
- Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
- NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/
This extension allows to adjust the font size for the user interface:
- Theme font & size changer: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer/

Cannot print in the desired custom size
Hello! It's the first question that I post on this forum (and I seriously hopes that you will be able to help me).
The thing is I'm trying to scan documents (with custom size and the lines in the journal) and use them as a model, then write about them using its custom lines, then remove the template, so when I print, the words and the content of my paper will print perfectly in this personalized book.
Would this be possible? I've tried scanning it, looking for its size and using a document to the custom size paper with the same characteristics, however it does print never it perfectly.
I'm really sorry if I expressed myself correctly, but I can't find another way. Thank you!
Dr.GroovyFunk
It should work, but you must ensure that the scale and position is perfect as well horizontally than vertically of sizing for well-known marks on the page.
The vagaries of printers also means that the book is never perfectly in place as it passes through so there will always be some differences.

How to change the window font sizes help LabVIEW?
I read the help documents LabVIEW quite often, and the default fonts are too small, making it very difficult to read for long period of time. I couldn't find anything when I change the font size.
Please let me know.
Thank you.
Help is HTML and at least, in Windows, it seems that IE is used to display. Most web pages have a defined font size to control the appearance of the page, but you can ignore it by going to Internet Options (accessible from both help screen) > accessibility (which is a button hidden in the bottom of the page). I see no using LabVIEW to actually specifying the size, but at least for me it made bigger. Note that this affects any web page that view you in Internet Explorer.
