The font size in windows Explorer

Hello

Is there a way to increase the font size of the names of files that are displayed in windows Explorer and not the font size of all the other parts of windows [for example, links and the other parts of the entire operating system].

Thanks in advance for any help.

Gary Tonsley

It shouldn't change all the text in the operating system when you adjust the font size of icon, but it will certainly adjust some other texts.  Things like menus and title bars remain the same (they have their own font size options), but yes: other parts were inspired by the icon as the base line for consistency.

  • How to disable the "Fonts" folder in Windows Explorer?

    Hi all

    I have a problem to deactivate the fonts folder in Windows Explorer.
    My question:
    How to turn off or do not display "Fonts" in Windows Explorer my computer tab?

    I think it is unnecessary because it already exists in the Control Panel folder.

    If anyone can solve this, thanks in advance.

    Windows customizes the Fonts folder and offers a special folder view that allows you to hide variations, such as bold and italics. It also allows you to change the display settings of the file in a way that is specific to fonts. If you remove the read-only attributes and the Fonts folder system, these custom display settings not available. For folders that you have customized by using the tab, Customize dialog box Properties of the folder, the folder icon and other other customizations may be missing when you remove the read-only attribute.

    Welcome to the Microsoft community forum. From the description of the problem, it seems that you want to change the font size for the user interface modern app.

    You can change the modern user interface text size by going to the charms > settings > change the settings of the PC > PC and peripherals > display

    Also see this Microsoft article:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/make-text-screen-larger-smaller/?v=t

    Windows 8.1, you can now set the DPI (Dots per Inch) scale to make text and other items, such as icons, fonts and windows, to more or less important for all display or by display screens.

    Windows 8.1 DPI scale improvements are mainly focused on:

    • Optimization of ergonomics and the readability of displays high-resolution
    • Offering an experience uniform multi-screen systems
    • Give developers optimize app specific scale based on display DPI

    If you are using a resolution of 1366 x 768 display on a shelf, chances are that UI will look good 100% ppp settings. But what about when you connect the tablet to an external high resolution? In Windows 8, you can choose either 100% in order to optimize the user interface on the screen of the tablet or display up to 150% in order to optimize the user interface on the outside. You have to make compromises.

    8.1 Windows takes care of this issue pressing address scaling of IPR by display . By default, Windows 8.1 will choose the optimal DPI scaling value for each display based on the value selected for the global scaling in the control panel.

    Hi EdSikora,

    Sounds like you have problems using the mail app on the computer.

    • Are you referring to the Mail app in Windows 8?
    • Or is it specifically Windows Live Mail?

    If you are referring to the mail app on Windows 8, you can proceed as follows.

    1. When you compose a mail, select the text you want to change the font for, or simply right click on the space empty on the mail.
    2. At the bottom of the screen, you will find the app bar with options.
    3. Select or click the font changes.

    You can check this article for more details on the mail app. Do not respond if this isn't what you're looking for or if you have more questions. Thank you.

  • Pavilion Slimline 400-314: the font size in windows 10

    Is it possible to change the font size - I seem to have only the possibility of 100-125-150, which is not satisfactory.

    @Richard_384, welcome to the forum.

    You should go to control panel / display / change display settings.  There, you should check the Advanced display settings / advanced resizing of text and other elements.  If this does not help, check the ease of access.  Maybe it's the Magnifier turned on.

  • Increase the font size of windows Dreamweaver (not the code mode)

    I can't find a solution to this and hope someone can help.  I need to expand my vision of the DW on my screen.  Not the code view, I found that.  Everything else - all windows (file list, assets, snippets, css... all these windows development.  It's much too small for me.  Any help would be appreciated!  Looks like an easy thing, but I can't.  Thank you!

    Looks like you are using a high DPI monitor?

    With the exception of Windows 8, DW is not "High DPI aware" yet. Adobe knows about the issue and is working.

    Meanwhile, the workaround is to increase the size of the fonts in your system.

  • How can you increase/change the font size using window.print

    We use no BI/XML Publisher.
    I have a button with a redirect URL to print.
    JavaScript:Window.Print();

    How can I give the user the possibility to print with a different font or larger or possibly put the same for everyone?

    Thank you

    John

    Hi John,.

    You can add styles that are only used when printing (or print preview). In the frame header HTML on your page (or in the header section of the page template if you want on all pages), add something like:

    <style type="text/css" media="print">
    * {font-size:24px!important;}
    </style>

    This will set all the text to 24 px. Obviously, adjust according to your needs.

However, I went to the right place and it is only normal large and extra-large in font sizes. Help, please!

    Hi BrayCorporation,

    · What is the name of the program that you try to play?

    · What is the exact and complete message you receive?

    I suggest you access the game manufactures Web site and check the system requirements and compare them with the specifications of the computer.

    Also check if the game is compatible with the version of the operating system installed on your computer.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Or, if all is smaller, not only the font size:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-AU/Windows-Vista/change-screen-resolution
    Change the screen resolution
    Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They appear also smaller, so more items adapted to the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items adapted to the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images may have serrated edges.
    For example, 640 × 480 is a lower screen resolution, and 1600 × 1200 is higher. CRT monitors generally display a resolution of 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768. LCD monitors can better support the higher resolutions. If you can increase your screen resolution depends on the size and capability of your monitor and the type of video card you have.
    Text and images are sharper and smaller at high screen resolutions
    Text is larger and easier to read at low screen resolutions, but images are rasterized and number of items adapted to the screen
    1. Open display settings by clicking on the button start , by clicking on the Control Panel, click appearance and personalization, clickingPersonalization, and clickingDisplay parameters.
    2. Under resolution, move the slider to the desired resolution, then clickApply.
    Notes
    • When you change the screen resolution, it affects all users who log on the computer.
    • When you set your monitor to a screen resolution that it will not support, the screen will go black for a few seconds while the monitor returns to the original resolution
    See you soon.
