Hello

PCI x 16 graphics card slot

Buy a VGA compatible PCIe x 16. It's in your pocket and compatibility with the operating system.

https://www.Google.co.UK/webhp?SSRP=1#q=PCIe+x16+best+graphics+card

You can install the new card into the slot, connect the monitor and one integrated turn off.

Unfortunately, the GPU is not extensible in these units.  You will need to update the whole motherboard package, which would be costly and cause potential reliability problems in the future.  Your best option would be to upgrade to a laptop more recent with the GPU and the plug, you need.

  • The graphic upgrade of 660 s

I have the Inspiron s 660 (2012) with an Intel i5 processor. Intel (r) 7 series/C216 Family SATA AHCI Controller Chipset and integrated graphics card Intel.

I'm looking to upgrade to be able to handle more intensive games. What graphics cards will be compatible? It's quite a small space inside, so I have no idea if she is able to be upgraded at all. I want to be able to handle games like Battlefield, Skyrim, Starcraft and F1 with the graphical quality and 60 FPS.

Any ideas on what kind of graphics cards, I should be looking at would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi jchanandonait,

The case may if adapt to a video card, extra flat and you do not have a PCIe x 16 location, but of course the biggest problem is the power supply 220W. NVIDIA GT 620 is a low power consumption option.

This is why it is not recommended to purchase compact desktop computers for anyone who is involved, or plan for future updates. Even after putting money in this system, you are unlikely to enjoy a satisfying game experience. You are better off saving your pennies to a new system.

  • Problem of sound after the graphic upgrade & PSU

System: Compaq Presario Media Center SR2019UK desktop PC.

I updated the PSU (power supply) at the exit of 700W (all verified compatibility) and installed a NVidia GeForce GT 240 PCI Express x 16 video/graphics card. The new video card works perfectly. Not surprisingly on this system, the integrated sound card does not work now, which is my problem. I studied various options (O.S. UAA Bus bus driver & update update / install guides, its BIOS affecting auto active etc.), but before I try one of them, please could someone who knew this advise me? -(Everything is always the same for the system. For example: operating system still XP Media Center Edition).

    Thanks to everyone?

    Hello

It seems that graphics card sound for HDMI controller might have exceeded Onboard Audio.

Go into the BIOS with the F1 key at startup-> press Advanced menu, select Onboard Audio, input, select activate. Press F10 to save and exit.

Restart the PC, go to the Manager of audio, video and game controllers, right click on related existing NVidia entered driver and click on uninstall.

Download and install the driver Audio Realtek from the URL below and restart the PC.

  • Can I update the graphics/video card?

I just bought my son a new HP Envy 17 - j130us 17.3-inch Touchsmart computer laptop with Beats Audio at Amazon.com. Now, I like Intel, but the graphics card can be improved? He loves these intensive real games, and well, it earned him.

No there is no way to improve the graphics. This is true for almost all laptops. You are still in time to return and buy something with better graphics?

What you have is a problem of incompatibility.  Card mother can't stand not UEFI vBIOS (newer cards). your system cards no UEFI last were the GTX 660 and 670 GTX.  The 660 GTX has proved to be more stable.

  • 3647 Inspiron small office limit of RAM and graphics upgrade card limit

    Hello world

I thought about upgrading RAM on my Inspiron 3647 small office and graphics for a while now, and I would ask if she can handle 16 GB of RAM (8GBx2) and for all of the suggestions for an upgrade of a 625 GT that would go in his case. The computer has 2 DIMM slots, so I don't think that the 16 GB of ram should be a problem. He already has 4 GB pre-installed.

    Thanks in advance.

    It supports 16 gigs.

  • What to use for the PNG - 24 format because we have no Microsoft Digital Image!

Adobe has its own version of the open source transparency PNG called PSD. Haughty! For sure, this is why Adobe is so special. But what most of us who use and share the PNG Alpha standard? Microsoft has been more favourable standards when it marketed Microsoft Digital Image® with remarkable support for the standard PNG-24 or PNG Alpha format. But now Microsoft has left our market go to * in a handbag, dropping support for Microsoft Digital Image.

Refusing even to advertise a new program to manipulate and develop better, more professional in our world image format!

Really too bad. Really terribly sad. We remember all that weird menu 20-40 clicks in blind abominations of Adobe, took just a few clicks, accompanied by beautiful visuals colored across Microsoft Digital Image Pro.

We are crying and sobbing and screaming in anguish, Microsoft! Please come home! Where are you, genius?

    Hi Mark,

    A couple of options...

I suggest you do a Bing search engine for third-party software program to fit your needs. (remember to watch where/what you download from third party sites)

Can also may want to check with the forums dedicated to this type of software, and not here in answers.

    Windows expert community

My last suggestion is to speak with the real Microsoft Tech support to ask these questions. Remember that the only employees of MS here are those with a Big Blue Microsoft tag under their name. The majority of the members of the community here is not used from Ms.

  • Upgradeing the graphics card on the 3000 N100

I wonder if its possible to improve the graphics of cards for my Lenovo 3000 N100. I play Eve Online and would like to be able to upgrade to high-end graphics. In addition, I was told that I need to reload my OS about every 3 months on my laptop. Is this true? I run the windows vista that came with the laptop and have had no problems with it. If I need to do I'll do it. I don't know if it of true or not. And when it comes to computers, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. Laughing out loud! Not even close to him. So any advice would be greatly welcomed. Thanks for your time and your help.

Usually (95% I have met) laptops are not expandable with video card. You can replace the CPU/memory/hard DRIVE and even some cards such as WiFi Bluetooth &, but not video. It's empty because design radiator different in different models and also other modules in sizes, while the CPU/memory/hard DRIVE have their standards, which facilitates the replacement.

With regard to the operating system:
No problem for to reinstall me an OS as I do for others twice a week usually. So I have something to say here. While using a system that is getting filled with garbage. More applications that you install - waste more you. Corrupt registry, temporary files are collected... No need to reinstall until your system is entirely online.
    So.
Simply clean from time to time of the folders temp (running %tmp% and %Temp% to display your temporary folders), check your system of CCleaner for garbage and used Ashampoo Uninstaller corrupted registry and (if you want). This program is extremely useful. It analyses the system prior to installation and after. Is a newspaper. Then simply uninstall you it by Ashampoo - everything is deleted. All the registry keys (including hidden for trial and shareware progs) and all af you uninstall this app. You keep your system as clean as it possible - as if it was the first execution of Windows. Infested with only worrying about me - never tried Vista.

  • Accidentally, I bought the Windows 7 Professional upgrade and does not have an earlier version of Windows

    Hello

Recently I bought Windows 7 Professional upgrade because of the student discount, I had about it, not realizing it was only an upgrade. I do not have an earlier version of windows, and so now I have a copy of UN activated Windows. My question is can I buy an old vista or XP and just plug this code? It is said the upgrade works from previous versions and because I already bought the upgrade I look forward to having to buy a brand to the copy of windows 7, if I buy xp or vista.
    Thanks for your help.
    -Bill

However, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.

15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.

So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.

Note: You will not have to activate the previous license, just install.

    Option 2:

Call the Activation Center and explain your situation.

Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.

When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer

    Click on properties

Scroll down to the Windows Activation

Click the link x days before activation.

Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.

    Enter the product key

    Click next

Select the Activation of the phone

Click Next when you enter your key page

    Select your country

Click Next, call the number listed

Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.

Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent

They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it

Click next to complete the activation.

Hello Rascal, apparently, your system may be a little old to run any recent video games.

Here a link to the plug on the motherboard, and it shows the system comes with 512 MB of system memory and a maximum of 1 GB of system memory.

It also has a video feature embedded VIA with 64 MB of video card memory. It has a slot machine video AGP.

Carpet is it possible to upgrade the video card AGP, but I doubt you'd see much improved performance.

    Just some thoughts.

  • Qosmio F30-127 is unable to read the Vista upgrade disc

    Hi guys,.

    I have a Toshiba Qosmio F30 (127) with the standard front load Mat * a DVD-RAM (model UJ-846) Player.

I have for months without any apparent problem burn a variety of CD DVD & (R/RW) and recently received my expected Vista Express Upgrade DVD which I assume adopts the format DVD RAM.

After the upgrade of the BIOS to v3.4, I successfully installed upgrading startup, but only one of the hard drives (RAID) which has been recognized in my windows session (with the recoil, I would simply have used administrative tools > computer management > disk management) ;-(

I reinstalled XP using the recovery disks provided original in preparation to retry the Vista upgrade a 2nd time to correct the alleged no recorded 2nd hard drive.

However, on the startup of XP, the Vista Upgrade DVD doesn't have to be recognized at startup (i) or (ii) in the case of a Windows session, without a visible change in the drive icon to indicate the usual recognition.

If I try to double click on the drive icon, I get the error message:

"D:\ is not accessible. The request could not be performed because of an i/o device error.

I have read a number of threads of support which advises: (i) changing some registry keys, which seem to be unnecessary following a procedure of recovering costs of system; (ii) the transfer mode to DMA to PIO on the primary IDE channel in Manager devices, and (iii) the offending disk and IDE/ATAPI controllers Device Manager uninstall followed by a restart of switching. I tried (ii) & (iii) independently several times resulting in Windows Installer automatically the drivers for the hardware newly found followed by a final reboot, but the Enigma DVD persists.

I tried to install the latest drivers for the DVD RAM driver, including vF103 firmware update in the Toshiba download pages, but the status quo remains.

Ideas or current symptoms are swinging more and more towards the likely hardware malfunction?

    Thanks for listening...

For me, it looks like a hardware problem, maybe the lens of the player is not clean or not can not calibrate correctly in the right position

But try first to remove the drive from Device Manager and restart the laptop.
The operating system should recognize what it again automatically. If you want to read from this CD, and then try again.

If she will not change the situation, then I presume that it s a failure of the equipment.

  • My HP Envy for television using the old Tuner card

I currently have a HP Envy 17 with no PCMCIA card slot. My old computer is a laptop HP DV9260 (Vista) that came with a PCMCIA TV tuner card (I never used). I still have the card and all other components.

I want to use my desire to pick up digital TV shows, but I can't use the previous tuner card because the desire doesn't have a card slot. Which is the best option... (1) find an adapter to use the prior TV tuner to the PC (via USB) card or 2) buy a new tuner system? I checked with HP, not a lot of help support. Thank you!!
