The hard drive on my computer broke down and I had no option to disable Adobe Design Standard. After you have installed the trial version and when I try to activate I get the message: you have entered the serial number is valid, but cannot find a product calling it on this computer. I can't find my product (ADOBE DESIGN STANDARD 5.5) in the drop-down list below. What should I do then?
If you try to install 5.5, the message you get is indicating your 5.5 was a purchase of upgrade and it asks you to identify the older version that you upgraded that qualifies you to use the upgrade. You will specify so have its serial number.

You can move your music files on the external drive - or you can move other data on the disk to make room for your music on the internal drive.
What applications do you use to play music?

- You can reduce the size allocated for the restoration of the system to about 1 GB (right click on desktop > properties > system restore > settings)
- You can disable hibernation (if you don't use it) (right click on an empty spot on the desktop > properties > screen saver > power > Hibernate)
- You can disable the indexing of the drive, which will also speed up your computer a bit (http://lifehacker.com/031440/turn-off-indexing-and-speed-up-windows-xp)
- You can reduce the size of your Internet browser cache (depending on the browser that you use)
- You can remove most of the $NTUninstallKBxxxxxx files $ following the directions here: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/Hotfix_backup.htm (read the warnings in the gray box first)

But none of these answers you will earn really large amounts of space for very long. The term solution time is a bigger hard drive.
In the meantime, download and run JDiskReport, that will show you graphically what files take up more space and seem to so indicate what files you must move it to your external drive. If you want to move an application, you will need to uninstall and then reinstall it specifying your external drive as the installation location. You can not simply move the files.

I got to level only the hard drive in my computer and now I keep getting messages that my Windows 7 is not genuine

OK, I did something "stupid." The hard drive on my computer was full so I copied my pictures to a removable hard drive. Then I deleted them on my mac. I also wanted a new installation of LR, so I uninstalled that too. I reloaded LR and reloaded my 'catalogue', but I don't know how to do so that he can look at the pictures on my external HD help!

No Lightroom does not use a different catalog.
We discuss records, are we not? In the original catalog, you have a folder with one? mark, say C:\Photos, and you used your operating system to move it to F:\Photos. Lightroom has this record showing under the C:\ drive. As soon as you make the reconnection, Lightroom indicates the folder in the drive F:\.
Oh, and is there a way to do all the files at once? or what I need to do one at a time?

Why are JPEG images on the hard drive of my computer all of a sudden now Virgin?
JPEG images on the hard drive of my computer are now white (it reads 0kb and the tile is missing) and when I go to open it in Windows Photo Viewer, it gives me an error saying that there is not. I noticed that it happens to almost all of the photos that I have edited in Lightroom 5. I shot an entire season of football last year, all in JPEG format and with my guards, I advanced and edited in Lightroom and now they are virgins. I never moved my photos anywhere. I turned the game in November, created the folder for this game, and that's all. I'm almost a year more later to print them for my portfolio and the file is missing! Lightroom can show the photo, but I can't make adjustments in the develop module because the file is blank on my computer. The weird part is that the sticker is there, the number of correct image is there, and when I click to display in the Explorer in Lightroom, it pulls up the JPEG right, if the location is OK in Lightroom, just no thumbnail image and no image size when I go to open it using the Windows Photo Viewer. I checked the other games that I shot and it's happened to almost all games.
If you have pictures on your camera cards, then of course you can simply copy them to the appropriate locations.
There are plug-ins in Lightroom that can recover the preview using Lightroom, but these will be smaller and lower in quality than the original. Perhaps one of our plug-ins experts can suggest the good plug-in.
If the hard drive goes really wrong, as I suggested, you definitely want to be replaced. If this is the case, you won't continue to use it. You might want to run some diagnostic disk on this subject.

Had to change the permissions to grant access. Now when I try to start the windows XP laptop, I get a "windows cannot load the user's profile but you has logged on with the default profile" and then a "windows Explorer has encountered a problem" appears and I can't do anything with it. When I select 'close' the screen goes gray, then the same message appears. I have to use the Task Manager to restart. I did a repair of my XP install disc and also a system restore and still the same problem. Help!
Also, running service pack 3 before the repair. Now on service pack 2 that I cannot access windows update to get updates.

This means generally that you install one version upgrade and it does not find the earlier version. You will need to provide the number of the prior product that qualifies for the upgrade.
