  • Scanning with HP all-in-one printer with fax and scan Windows in Windows 8

When you install a printer driver in Windows 8, you can scan from your computer without having to install any additional software to HP. This is particularly useful if you want to or not does not require the full functionality software or if your printer does not have a driver to scan for Windows 8.

Windows Fax and Scan uses a Microsoft Service called WIA (Windows Image Acquisition) to capture an image from the scanner and allow you to save without the need for additional drivers.

In addition, Windows Fax and Scan cannot scan to PDF.

    Welcome to the @AMIR97community.

What model of printer you have?

In the meantime, you can always scan both sides of the IDENTITY card, and use a duplexer to print the images on both sides fo the paper.

  • HP Deskjet all-in-One Printer - CX027A 2510

Have tried all the troubleshooting availabe and program patches.  Will not print black. Download blue grey or very light print.  The cartridge is almost full.

    Hi Crickette1,

I understand that you are having print quality problems on your HP Deskjet 2510, you have an almost completely black cartridge, but it's a light gray/blue color printing.

If you have completed all the steps listed here: Troubleshooting print quality problems, without success and have replaced the black print cartridge (although yours is full), so I suggest to call our technical support at the 800-474-6836 because it can be the cartridge or the actual hardware of the 2510. • All-in-one printer 6500: how to clear the history of calls for a 6500 printer has?

I am upgrading to a new HP printer and want to donate my 6500 a, but need to erase history calls first.  It has been a tool to clear the fax log, but how do I clear the call history?  I checked after clearing the fax log, and all the phone numbers are always listed in the call history.

Perhaps a better question is to know if I can reset to default, all settings the settings/history of compensation?

It turned out that, I contacted HP by phone and received excellent help.

There is a subset menu which can be found when you press the icon 'back'... on the icon outside the lit display that doesn't show until you type.  They had me find the appropriate page and make a "partial reset".  Brings back the printer to the page where the next time it is turned on, it will ask for questions of initial set-up and all the memory is deleted.  So I have been able to give the machine to the local women's organization helping women with no problems that I can also gave a list of contacts!  Thanks to HP for the excellent customer service!

  • Will be 3050 a Deskjet all in one printer print on both sides?

I can't print on both sides of the paper.  Use of IE and Windows 7

Sorry, this printer is NOT a duplexer.

The duplexer allows the printer to print on both sides. You will not be able to do, with this printer.

P.S. There is no other error when reinstalling

    Hello teslla,

Were there any error messages displayed while re-installing the printer s/w?

If not, then please try using another USB cable and try to scan.

Please connect the printer power cable directly to the wall on Let's (and not a power strip or surge protector)

You can also download HP Print and Scan www.hp.com/go/tools doctor to check for problems with the driver.

  • Printer all-in-one screen display has changed from his usual display of a broader look "safe mode".

When I click on the all-in-one printer, it happens on my monitor screen different than what it allows.  Now, it seems that it is in "safe mode" and I'm not able to use its features as before.  Why is this happening and how can I get this back to its original state?

    Hi Doris Workman,.

    1. What is the brand and model of the printer?
    2. are you referring to the computer screen or the printer?
    3. what function you are trying to use?
    4. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?

If you are referring to the screen on the All in one printer, then I suggest you to contact the manufacture of the printer.

Provide more information to help you best.

    Hello

1 did you change your computer, after which the issue started?
    2. are you connected to a domain?
    3. have you downloaded the correct driver version?

I would recommend that you download the correct driver (Vista 64-bit) from this link and check if that helps.

  • HP Deskjet 2540 all-in-one: printer stopped connecting to the wifi network

Hi, my printer has suddenly stopped detecting my wireless network. When I turn on the printer, wireless blue light continues to blink and there is an exclamation point on the screen of the printer. I still have the same wifi network as before and have not changed it or its parameters. I have not physically moved the printer and the wireless works fine for all computers, iPads, and phones.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the HP Utility Set Up software but it couldn't detect the printer to set up.  I also tried running the diagnostic results, but all the results, said 'Not work', 'Not applicable' or 'None'. I can't even an IP address for my printer.

My laptop can detect the printer if I turn on the wireless Direct button and I connect to this network on my laptop, but that's all. I'd rather connect the printer to the wifi so I can print from all my devices (phone, iPad etc.). The printer is less than 6 months and I do not understand what is the problem with him. Can you please specify?

    Hey @Sue1990,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that the all-in-one printer Deskjet 2540 does not connect to your wireless network. I can help you with that.

To connect the printer to your network again you will need to run the USB cable from the printer to your computer Mac OS x 10.7. This makes the open Applications, Hewlett-Packard and inside this folder you will find a program with a similar name to the installation wizard. If you run this program, then you will find options to connect your printer to your wireless network.

Please let me know how it works for you and let me know if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful evening!

  • HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515: stop the test page printed for all-in-one printer, HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515

How can I stop my HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 1515 all-in-One printer to print a test page everytime I STARTED printing?

    Hello JoshSimon ,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see that you have a problem with the printer printing before you print a test page.

If you turn off the printer at the end of the day, please do not.  Turn the printer on/off will result in printing a test page.  If you are concerned about the printer lost power, and that's why you stop, the unit actually built in sleep/stand mode that will kick in when you are not using the printer.

Once a print job is sent to the printer it then wake up and do the task at hand.

In addition, make sure you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

    See you soon,.
