The HP software update causes network deskjet 6940dt in status 'offline '.

On 02/10/09, updated HP introduced an update marked "critical update to enhance reliability of network and USB connectivity and printing system response. I did the installation. Since then, my ethernet connected Deskjet 6940dt is in status 'offline '. Someone knows something about this problem?

I am assuming that you are using a PC (Vista?).

The printer folder, double-click the printer to open the print queue.  Select the printer in the menu bar and make sure that use printer offline is not selected.

Then you can access the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address?  You can find the IP address of the printer by pressing the check mark on the printer.

Finally, power cycle the printer.

My laptop computer that runs Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

I read the other threads on this problem and tried Windows updates and restarting my PC. I had iTunes installed, but uninstalled it months ago. If I had installed iTunes, I would try the method here: Remove and reinstall iTunes and the components of the software for Windows 7 and later versions - Apple Support .

I don't want Windows 10 and goes through other threads, upgrade to would not necessarily solve this problem.

Having received no response, I uninstalled all Apple software and then installed QuickTime, which I use occasionally. The Apple software update is back to version 2.1.3.

  • A later version of the Apple software update is already installed on this computer.

Recently, I had a new iPhone 5, so I had saved my old iPhone 4 with iTunes so I could transfer all my information. But when I connected my iPhone 5 it came with this message: "the"Rachel's IPhone"iPhone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.come to download the latest version of iTunes. " The iPhone 5 is iOS9.2

So, I went on the website to download iTunes, since this was the 12.1.2 version and should be downloaded 12.3.2, went to do the implementation, then it came with the message: "a later version of the Apple software update is already installed on this computer." So, I tried to uninstall it (after each step on the Apple Support to do) but when I went back to uninstall all apple programs, I could not find "Apple Software Update", it wasn't in my programs...

I did all the steps anyway, and the same message of "a later version of the Apple software update is already installed on this computer." came after I tried to reinstall iTunes.

So, I guess my overall question is, what should I do? How can I fix?
    Please answer quickly.

Try to repair the Apple Software Update of the programs and features Panel, remove it and then reinstall iTunes.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

  • iTunes does not appear the option to check the iOS Software Update

I have a 6 more than 64 GB iPhone with iOS installed 9.3.5, laptop HP Windows 7 (SP1). The latest iOS updates bit (of IOS 8 or 9, I did "over the air" rather than connecting to iTunes on my laptop.)

This time, with 10 being released iOS and reading online on a certain number of iPhones in 'brick' update 'over the air', I decided to update by connecting via a USB/lightning cable to my laptop and iTunes.

When you open iTunes on the laptop by clicking on the device (iPhone) and the 'summary', she properly showed the current software on my phone (iOS 9.3.5), but no option for "check for updates". He also says "Connect this iPhone with a USB cable in order to update or restore it is a software", which seems strange, because it is connected via USB and is recognizing the version of iPhone software up-to-date and correct. After not being able to understand why, I have found also that iTunes 'control upgrade' says that v12.1.1 has been current. After some research online, I came across a Web site that shows iTunes was up v12.4.3 at the time of writing. Therefore, I went on Apple's site to update iTunes, as I couldn't do to in iTunes itself. I found that the latest version is 12.5.1.21 I downloaded and installed (without uninstalling the previous version first). Still the same problem. Then, I uninstalled this version latest and updated to iTunes on my laptop and reinstalled. Still the same problem.

I was able to 'Sync' and the phone to iTunes with no problem at backup.

    Can anyone help please?

I considered just take a chance and update the iphone software app 'Settings' of the phone with the ability to do a "restore" via iTunes on the laptop if I ran into problems. Then, however, I found that the button "backup restore" in iTunes was "greyed out" and not "clickable".

    Hi colboy58,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

If I understand your message that iTunes appears that a software update is available for your iPhone 6 Plus. Since iTunes showed previously that it was also updated, there is probably a problem with the security on your PC iTunes software to communicate with our servers.  Please follow the troubleshooting steps in the link below to get started:

  • The Apple software update will not install updates

Each time the Apple software application to be updated by Apple Software Update, the error in the picture below opens and I get it over with to have to do a manual reinstall.  Here, the image shows the most recent upgrade to iCloud and iTunes, but I also got QuickTime are doing the same thing.  It would seem that each manual installation to reinstall a new copy of the GSS, but he keeps having the same problems. Please help diagnose this problem.  The "Download only" option in the window pop up works, but it would be nice for ASU than him.

An update of the software is pretty useless if it is not updated of software.

I suspect that all is not well with your copy of the GSS. You can try to fix it, but I suspect a complete tear down and reinstallation of any software Apple will be needed.

  • The iPod software update

I tried to do a restore to factory on my ipod and when I did he forced me to download the latest version of the ipod software. But since I did the Ipod was fundamentally WRONG! The touchscreen does not behave as it should, it was working FINE before the update.

My music loads very well, but the menus and the sweeping action are not acting as it should. The software is not simply read the touch screen on the right. The version of the software itself is fake or somewhere, I'm a corrupted download, which then transferred to the ipod.

How do I get and delete/re-download software update so that I can then download the corrected version of back on the ipod?

It is an iPod nano?  You should do another restore.  If you want to make sure you get a new download, this article explains where it is stored the downloaded firmware iPod for Windows

    http://osxdaily.com/2010/12/08/IPSW-file-location-Mac-and-Windows/

This article focuses on iOS devices, but it works the same way for download iPod software.  Drag the ipsw for iPod file to another location.  If there is a "signature" for the package file, move too.  Then, run a restore on the iPod.  iTunes clearly should re-download the iPod software and perform the restore.

  • The HP software update is still my printer unable to talk to my PC with USB cable or wireless. Nightmare.

I tried to do what I thought, it was a systematic HP software update on my printer, which has been very well. The software appears to install correctly, but then I could not connect wireless or even when I plugged a USB cable at the back. I restarted my computer and my printer several times. I retried the installation several time steps. Two hours later, I'm stuck, and I see no way to get any help from HP. At this point, I think seriously just junking my printer and switch to another brand that has his act together. Can anyone help? Of course can't do HP.

  • My PSC 1210 all-in-one not Scan after the recent software update

There is no if long software update asked me to install the last change of HP software. Which is curious, because when I look in the download, the last of them for OS10.6 section, which I run, was released in 2009.

Before, I scanned successfully by using the Print & Fax system preferences.

When I did it today, thogh, after choosing the option to Scan and then open Scanner, I would get the message that there is 'no scanner not selected', although HP psc 1200 series at the top of the screen. I tried scanning several times and got the same result every time.

What can I do to get this working again?

Hmmm, that seems strange that you will receive an update for a PSC 1210, because I do not think that there has been updates this software for years.
